Our dogs have been going to woofs and whiskers for years. we have used them for kennel, daycare, dog walking and grooming. everyone there is fabulous, they love dogs (and i'm sure cats and other critters too), are totally responsible and literally have saved our dog's life on more than one occasion rushing him to a vet when he spent the night there.
couldnt live without them!

It's never easy leaving your dog or cat when you have to go away but leaving them here could take the sting out, at least a little bit. The people who work there genuinely seem to like animals and enjoy being around them and there's a decent amount of outdoor space for them to run around in.

I have used w and w for over 8 years ( even when it was owned by different people). The kennel is staffed by people who truly love dogs and who are very gentle and patient with my slightly neurotic dog. I never worry when I have to leave her to go out of town and this is the ultimate compliment I think. If my dog became ill, they would take care of her just as compassionately as I would. W and W has reasonable rates - which is a plus in this economy and the staff is warm and super helpful - they always manage to work me in.

Pros: animal lovers

Cons: none

The two star rating is for business management / customer service. My dog loves Woofs 'n Whiskers so after moving out of the neighborhood, I've spent the $20 cabfare to get him there. Justine may know dogs (when mine has been injured at their daycare, he's been taken care of and I never blamed them). Her people skills, however, leave a lot to be desired. I've even noticed it in how she speaks to the amazing caregivers who work there.

I needed to board my dog for one night and was informed that they had a two-night minimum policy. With little other choice, I agreed knowing there was a chance I'd be cutting it very close for the pick-up. I arrived 6 or 7 minutes late. I called immediately after getting off the train at 6, literally ran there, and apologized more than once.

I took full responsibility for being late, but the treatment (read: attitude) I received was uncalled for. And if summer is their busiest time as I was told, why enforce a two-night stay?

Admittedly, I've not been a flawless client, but I pay for the service like everyone else.

Pros: Outdoor area; most caregivers pay attention to the pets

Cons: Customer service lacks respect

Woofs n Whiskers looks very warm when you walk in, but wait until someone opens their mouths. I had never been there before and wanted to inquire some information. The first woman I spoke to who was sayed to be the groomer was very passive there was clients there and when they left she stared at me and said nothing another girl from behind the desk greeted me with warmth and payed attention to my needs not once did the other lady ask me anything or want to know about my dog. If it wasn't for the other girl behind the desk I probably would have never come back there. All I have to say is that when you have new customers you should pay attention to them and not talk in a passive way. If that other girl had not talked to me Woofs would have lost out on alot of money.

I had some serious problems with another walking service in the area, so it was a little scary to look into a new service. My neighbor recommended Woofs and Whiskers and I have to say that I have been quite happy. My dog walker does not speak perfect English, so we occasionally have communication issues, but he is so reliable and so gentle with my dog that the language barrier does not make a difference. I have not had any problems with this service for the past 9 months or so and I do really recommend them.

I tried two other services in the area before finding W&W. We have been with them for nearly a year and we haven't had any serious problems. Our walker shows up at almost exactly the same time every time and my dog is always eager to see him. Our walker doesn't speak a lot of English, but the dogs seem to understand him well and that's what matters. The woman who answers the phone at their office couldn't be nicer. Highly recommended service.

I'm not sure what happened with the two other reviewers but my experiences have been fantastic. Everytime my dog is groomed there I get stopped on the street by people telling me how adorable he looks. And let me tell you when not groomed he's a mangy, wiry-haired rescue mutt--cute but not stop on the street and admire cute. The first time it happened, I wasn't even sure they were talking to me. Plus, compared to other places I've gone the prices are very reasonable. The staff is always friendly and helpful and my boy starts pulling on the leash when we get within a block of the building.

I've started boarding there and use the dog walking service as well. Reliable, professional, and very accommodating. Very highly recommended.

The groomer at this place is a mess. I have no idea where or when she learned how to groom (or even if she is certified) but she should be banned. She told me my dog was so bad and sent me home with him. The sad part is I believed her, I should have known better. My dog just went to another groomer and they did him lickity split no problems at all and he was playing in the back room with the other dogs and done fantastically.
I have never had a complaint about my dog before until woof and whiskers did him. Well sometimes you live and learn. The groomer is a very inexperienced girl that should find another business to go into like selling used cars or something. My dog was in such bad emotional state when we picked him up from woofs I know something happened. So to woofs and whiskers owners.......GET A NEW GROOMER SHE IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!
You have not only lost a grooming client but I dont trust your boarding facility anymore either.
I have found the Dog Abby, much more professional and caring.

Boarded my dog with these guys and had them do nails and a bath. Wow what a mistake my dog is nuts since then. Cant go near his nails , they told me he was trouble. I have never been told this by anyone in his 8 years of boarding or grooming, usually they all say hes a doll and bring him back anytime. Why this sudden change with his grooming, I think its the place and when you ask ,they really dont give a donkeys A__.
Just want to let people know doesnt seem like the best place.
