Ratings_icons Great for any art project

I made a wonderful scrap book for my friend after she got married and this was the place that had it all. I hate those cookie cutter scrap book materials and they have those, but they also have a HUGE selection of other items like ribbon, wrapping paper in wide range of patterns, textures, and hues that is great for backing to your photos. And great albums, but a little pricey.

Ratings_icons Carnegie Hall area art supplies

In my opinion the best art supplies store uptown. Over the last few years they've branched out from art supplies and stationary to lamps, home furnishings and art related materials. Some items feel overpriced but even a professional artist would feel at home here.

PROS: Excellent store
CONS: some items seem overpriced

This really is an amazing store. You can find thousands of pens in every color of the rainbow. They have beautiful papers and great binders to store them in. They've got all sorts of art supplies - from crayons to caligraphy pens. This store is so large you can get lost in here but you wouldn't be in any hurry to find your way out. The store is conveniently located on 57th st so it's easy to get to by subway or bus. You can put together a terriffic gift package for any kid or art enthusiast on your gift list or just buy some funky pens or hilighters for your desk during lunch.

Ratings_icons Great Gifts and Art Supply

I love this store! They have everything from beautiful gift items to hobbies and crafts. They provide expert framing on the 2nd floor (pricey) and designer furniture on the 3rd (very pricey) but this store is a window-shopper's delight. They have beautiful cards, stationary, and wrapping paper. For fanciful knick-knacks and professional art supplies, this is a must-see. Try not to leave with a hole in your pocket.

PROS: Beautiful assortment of stationary and gifts
CONS: pricey
