This is one of the few times I can wholeheartedly recommend a company, and I'm a picky person. We feel that we got the best quality at the best price, and the process was painless.
Thermo Tite's salesman explained the details thoroughly, plus seemed like a decent guy. We met with 3 other companies. Two of our friends had their windows done by Thermo Tite within the past 7 years, and they said they were happy.
We had Thermo Tite install several different kinds of windows: double-hung, picture, 1 bay window and a new garden window. Thermo Tite replaced 2 sets of sliding glass doors, and we purchased 3 new entry doors. We already feel the difference this winter and our oil bill has been lower compared to last year (thank goodness).
We recently recommended ThermoTite to our neighbors and friends, and everything worked out well for them, too.
Overall great experience. Will try them for the attic wrap and crawl space insulation in a few months.

Thermo-Tite Windows salesman, Ross, sold me 2 basement windows, caps for 7 windows, steel door (basement) and a storm door(also basement). The total cost is round about $2900 and I made payments totaling $2100. I made a $300 deposit with him on September 4. Subsequently, Ross came to my house for whatever reason (completely business related). Somehow or another at that time he informed the door I ordered was would not fit and that he or the company had picked a replacement (as though I had no say). We worked it out and I changed the color of the door. When I called to make subsequent payment on October 1st ($1300), the finance person, Diane informed me I was getting sliders for windows (I don't even want to go into the hell it took me to get her on the phone). I don't like sliders and I would've never agreed to them but Ross claimed that was what I ordered. We were able to work out this issue too. For window installation, the company has two measures, the salesman (Ross) and another person. An employee of Thermo-Tite, Lenox or something, calls me whenever he's in the neighborhood and decides that's when he can measure the windows. Every time he has called (at least 3X's) for the measure, I was at work and we did not have an appointment nor did it occur to him to make an appointment either. To date, my windows have never had the second measure. I complained twice to Ross (salesman) about this window measure guys behavior. Ross advised I take it up with window measure guy. I dont even have the guys phone number. I called the main number of Thermo-Tite Windows, Friday (10/29/10) at 11:32 am, to confirm what type of locks I was getting on the doors and schedule installation. That is after making additional payment ($500). No one from the company got back to me Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I'm willing to let that go because it was the weekend and things happen. However, Monday morning, I called the company around 8:30 am and the answering service said it was closed. I got on the company website and IM Mark complaining about everything. I think the president of the company called me around 9 am and said someone will get back to me by the end of the day with an installation date. I had to call back at 4 pm because of course, no one got back to me and I wound up IM with Mark again. Then some drunk (apparently a company rep) calls me and says something to effect that the installation would take place the week of Nov 15th. When I asked him if this included the windows, he says he's the door guy. This same person also claims that I didn't order a lock for the storm door. Can you please explain to me the purpose of having a door without a lock? Then Ray (company rep) calls me yesterday saying the company was going to refund my money because installation would take at least 3 weeks. I assumed that meant the whole thing ($2100). Today, Diane (finance person) says differently. In all of this time, no from the company said a word about the windows. When I called to inquire about installation, how do you suppose no one in the company considered I was also talking about window installation? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the name of the company Thermo-Tite windows? It's 5 days later. The second measure was never completed. The company never addressed my concerns or followed up with me. I spoke to several people from the company. All the info I got from each of them put together still leaves me with no idea of what's going on. I entered into contract with this company in good faith on September 4, 2010 and made payments towards installation, products, and services. All I got from the company was sound incompetence

We just had Thermo Tite windows installed in our house and they are wonderful. Our old windows are drafty, and these are double paned and work great. The crew that put them in was extremely efficient and clean. They were done fast and they did an excellent job.
