Bbq Restaurant

The choices of food is extensive and the food is outstanding. The BBQ items on the menu are my favorite, but they also have really good seafood dishes and I've tried a couple of vegetarian dishes and they are actually pretty good. The bar is really fun to go to , and the drink selection is great, they will always have what you are looking for. I always have a great time when I come here and the prices are very reasonable. The service is also very good, very friendly.

The times for happy hour are amazing and the drinks are really good! The food is also really good! especially after a couple of drinks, and you want some food!

BBQs is an unpretentious restaurant in the heart of the Village (NY's Greenwhich Village). It's such a normal place in a sea of sometimes weird stores and unorthodox attitudes of the Village. They've been in business for about 20 years now.

I've been here so many times, I've lost count. The drinks are great. The bartenders do a wonderful job and they have every brand of liquor, beer or wine you can think of. My favorite dishes without fail are the tender and juicy barbequed ribs (your choice of pork or beef I prefer the pork) as well as the barbequed chicken. They serve everything you can think of, with a concentration on barbequed items as well as shrimp, vegetarian menus, steak and much more. You have a generous choice of sides to choose from and everything tastes great, is consistently fresh and served hot.

I've come here by myself and in a groups and the atmosphere is always upbeat and friendly. Average price for a meal is about $10-20 per person including drinks. The waiters are also nice and more than earn their tips for the great job they do, since this place is always crowded (another good sign they serve great food).

The crowd is eclectic and dress is casual. University students rub shoulders with business people, tourists and regular working folks looking for lunch or dinner.

PROS: Excellent Cheap Food. Great Prices & Friendly Waiters
CONS: None. Wish I lived nearer so I could come here everyday!

While they have a whole array of soul food, I consider BBQ a bar. The food is okay. The drinks are large, good, and best of all, CHEAP. Anywhere I can get a 20 oz. frozen margarita during happy hour is a-okay with me. Oh, and did I mention that happy hour is 11 am - 7 pm monday through friday?

Alright, so you're not going to go to BBQ expecting world-class fare or super-healthy options. They have a menu limited to BBQ-esque choices - a variety of chicken dishes, burgers, delicious cornbread, great fries, to-die-for vegetable tempura (I get random cravings), caeser salad...etc. It's truly delicious food, and at no other location in Manhattan will you find hearty, filling meals for $6 or less. Lunch hour has special prices and low-carb options. Best of all is happy hour, when drinks are half-price and HUGE. Their martinis and mixed drinks are fun and delicious. Definitely a place to go with your friends after work. And trust me on the tempura!
