            .

There used to be a tall thin guy and a female (both young) who worked at this copy center/UPS and they were amazing. Usually only one of them worked at a time. They would help me get in and out in almost no time at all; in fact, a few times, if one of them was on the phone and I had a prepaid label, he/she was able to multi-task by continuing the conversation and getting my receipt printed at once (instead of making me what for a possible long conversation to be over). \n\nHowever, they seem to have been replaced by dumb and dumber, who could not figure out how to scan a package, even with a pre-paid label. To their credit, at least they were courteous and apologetic. After 45 minutes of wasting my time, they called the manager (an older guy with white/grayish hair) who knew about as much as either of them. He pretended that I wasn't even there, didn't tell me what was going on, was rude when I did ask what the problem was, and when his best plan was to restart the computer, I took my package and left. It turns out that there really aren't many other options in Ithaca for UPS, so I ripped off the label and sent my package via USPS because I was not about to waste more of my day at Staples. When the manager of a store is both stupid and rude, it's time to shop elsewhere.

I have visited this place twice and never felt the same ease & friendly gesture as observed in other Staples stores. You may keep roaming from here to there looking for certain item and no one at the store will bother to ask if you needed any help; of course you'll find the item yourself before you can find someone to help. \n\nI visited this store a week back (12/26 or 12/27) only to use some staples coupons that I had worth $21.00. I thought of using these to buy the AA batteries that Staples had been promoting with 100% back in rewards until 12/31. Surprising, the store said the scheme was over. OVER IN ADVANCE? HOW? Anyways, I returned with a digital voice recorder which didn't mention anything about USB connectivity. The staff member who got the item for us assured that it had the same and if not; we could return it in next 15 days.\n\nAs feared, the recorder didn't have a USB port to transfer data directly to the PC. So, I went back on 01/03 to exchange the item for another one with the USB port. After much adieu I could finalise one item however, when I returned to the cash register I was surprised to see the MOD's behavior. He looked annoyed on our wish to exchange the item (WHY?) and said if it didn't mention USB port; it would not have it (shouldn't he tell that to his team?); he had the weirdest of expressions a manager could ever have. The rep on the counter apologized for the inconvenience (probably he could make out that his boss was absurd).\n\nAll in all; an unfriendly surrounding, negative vibes. Visit this staples ONLY if you want to buy something you are fully sure of; without having the want to exchange it ever.
