This Place was Overpriced and not worth paying for at all. We stayed in a suite but it was just a regular room to me. It is outdated, carpet was dirty, bathroom was NASTY and flooded everytime we took a shower and it even had ring around it. Bathroom had no vent or blower so everytime someone used the bathroom, we had to open all the windows in the room. The AC did NOT work in our room in the Summer time. That was wrong. I definitely know that I would not come back to this place. Location was not bad you were about 6 blocks away to the Subway. You were also near the Local Queens Mall too. The only good thing about this place was the free internet.

Ugh, I didn't like this place whatsoever! Overpriced and not worth paying for at all. We stayed in a so called "suite" but it was just a regular room to me. I have been to many hotels and this is probably one of the worst ones! It is outdated, carpet was dirty, bathroom was NASTY and flooded everytime we took a shower and it even had ring around it, ill! Bathroom had no vent or blower so everytime someone used the bathroom, we had to open all the windows in the room. It seemed like they didn't wash their blankets because everytime they changed the sheets or maybe not, it never smelled cleaned, more like hung outside :( for a day or two...I definitely know that I would not come back to this place. Location was not bad. The only good thing about this place was the free internet and that was about it...

The Pan American is dated but it's clean, safe and comfortable for a great price. Easy trip to Manhattan on subway. Check in was quick, and I got the quiet room I'd requested when I booked ahead. Had breakfast in hotel and waitress was great. Liked having a refrigerator in the room and in-lobby free internet access. Trip from hotel back to JFK was much quicker. All in all, the perfect budget choice.

I just returned from a Manhattan conference combined with vacation time with my eight year old daughter. Wanting something different and more affordable than the Midtown Manhattan experience, we stayed at the Pan American in Queens. What a delight! The staff was friendly and helpful which was great considering how busy this hotel was. The room was cleaned spotlessly every day no matter what time we left the room. We were picked up promptly and free from the airport and returned for a nominal fee. The immediate area was superficially lacking, but it was convenient and within minutes to the bus and subway. Within one block of the hotel we found the funky diner called Pop's, a great Afghani place called Bahar's and a really authentic, cheap, delicious Chinese food, sushi place and market next door. In fifteen minutes you can be in any number of more recognizable neighborhoods. The rooms were a little run-down, but they were as good as those at the Midtown Hilton with better service and half the cost. I'm looking forward to my next visit to New York and to the Pan American.
