We treat dogs and cats as well as birds, reptiles, ferrets, pocket pets and other small exotic pets and offer full wellness services, diagnostic, surgical and dental care as well as boarding and grooming. Bronx Veterinary Center treats dogs and cats as well as birds, reptiles, ferrets, pocket pets and other small exotic pets. We offer full wellness services, including exams, vaccinations, microchipping, allergy care and more. We also offer diagnostic, surgical and dental care as well as boarding and grooming. We accept cash, CareCredit and all major credit cards and several pet insurances. We are very sensitive to our client's budgets and always find ways to work with them to provide the care their pets need. We work hard to keep the costs to our clients low while providing the highest level of care to our patients. Bronx Veterinary Center also offers discount services for senior citizens, multiple pet owners and members of military.

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. I have been taking my sweet kitty to Dr. Katz since 2008 [then The Concourse Animal Hospital]. I have been taking my sweet kitty to Dr. Katz since 2008 [then The Concourse Animal Hospital]. His reception staff is very friendly, the doctors are always caring, sympathetic, informative and never appear rushed even with a waiting room full of pts. When I first came to Dr. Katz my kitty was very ill and almost died from a complete urinary crystal blockage. Even as a new pt. they fit us in right away. The staff, Dr. Katz and Dr. Barbera were especially sensitve to what me and my cat were going through and in the interim saved his life. 3 Christmases and 3 Birthdays later me and my kitty are still together. He is happy and healthy and we owe it all to the staff at The Bronx Veterinary Center/Concourse Animal Hospital. BTW, the new location on Webster Avenue is clean, spacious, and beautiful. The decor now is deserving of the staff. (Hide)

It's a shame that this hospital is called the Bronx Veterinary Center because if this is the best the Bronx has to offer that is just pathetic. I've never taken my cat to Park Ave vets, but I know their claim to offer "Park Avenue Care" is about as empty as they come. Pure hogwash. My cat's been seeing these vets for over 7 years now (she also received care at the previous location). Their lack of professionalism has become more apparent, now that my cat's health has become more delicate in her older age. In the past year she's been to these vets on 4 separate occasions. In this time they've managed to screw up a blood sample, so she had to return for them to do it another day. In this time, they've called me giving another cat's blood results. In this time they've managed to have her in the hospital for 4 consecutive days, and send her home with nothing more than antibiotics. The vet that she has seen most often seems to have lost almost all passion for his job, as he was insensitive and mentioned my cat's (old) age a couple times, as if not much should be expected. Believe me those things just top the list. In sum, they've done nothing for her ongoing ailment of vomiting and losing weight.

They have moved! They moved a few months ago. The new place is amazing. It looks like it belongs in Manhatan. I'm so happy because they are still close to where I live. It's on Webster ave. now. They do grooming now too.

I loved the service here! I took my 7 yr old chihuahua, who was in a lot of pain, here as a walk-in and we were second to be seen. Yes, the space is small but it was descent. The staff were very nice and helpful and Dr. Katz was very thorough in explaining the problem and tending to my dog quickly and painlessly. The whole experience went smoothly and my dog got everything he needed at a very good affordable price because they mainly focused on what was really needed. I will most definitely continue to go here.

I've know Dr. Katz and his great staff for more than 10 years. They have always treated me and my pets with love and respect. What attracted me to the Concouse Animal Hospital was the cleanliness of the office and their professionalism. I've been breeding and training dogs for more than 20 years, and Dr. Katz and his staff for over 10 of those years have been a great asset to me and my canine family. Dr. Katz is a man of integrity, intelligence and compassion.

I have trusted Dr. Katz and the staff with my babies for years. Dr. Katz is exceptional and has extreme patience to explain what is wrong with my babies, if needed. Also he is not interested in taking my money but rather explaining to me what is important for my babies' health. I am very grateful for his care and love he has shown to my babies. FYI: Dr. Katz is a specialist on exotic animals which is very rare to find in New York, especially a doctor that truly loves his job.

My family and I have been clients of Concourse Animal Hospital,Since the beginning. Over the years they have maintained superb care. Dr. Katz. and his staff treats all their clients like extended family. There were many but to share one example; When My pet was ill Dr Katz was sincerely concerned about her condition. He followed up on her well being long after the bill was paid. He is not all about the finances, he genuinely cares about our pet's health. it's a pleasure to have a facility in these times with integrity, patience, and professionalism. Dr. Katz is not just a dedicated veterinarian he'a also an amazing human being. You can TRUST Dr.Katz and his staff with your beloved pet, i'm grateful !!!!!!

MY family and I have been going to Concourse Animal Hospital for years and we love it there. It's clean and spacious and the staff are caring. The doctors care tremendously about people's pet and they view their clients as family. Every time My pets needed help and I was short the staff would always work out a payment plan with me. I thank GOD everyday for this hospital and a wonderful and irreplaceable staff.

The Concourse Animal Hospital is 1 in a million!
Seriously, if you are looking for the best care for your pet, look no further. I recently had a life-threatening situation with my family pet. He had never been there before, but they took him right in. I was extremely distraught and the Dr.'s were extremely knowledgable, informative, kind, and patient. They took their time to answer all of my questions and concerns. The staff is very sympathetic, kind and helpful also. Everyone seems to truly love animals. My pet is like my baby and I am comfortable for the first time that he is in the best hands! I am so fortunate that my old Vet's office was closed on the day of this emergency or I never would have found this place.
Additionally, the prices are very reasonable compared to other places I've been to.

this place is spacious and clean. i love coming here with my baby yorkie. the area is large therefore your not afraid of other large animals attacking and the staff is very pleasant and knowledgable... i really recommend this place!

I currently take my pet to this Animal Hospital. They have a very good friendly environment. The staff is really knowledgable and they work with you when you have a problem.
The Doctors are excellent. They know their stuff. I also like the fact that getting an appt. is not very hard and the appt. date is not 3 or 4 weeks later. The give you a date within a 3-4 day span.
They environment is very clean, upbeat, friendly, and most of all, if you need a questioned asked or don't know something...the doctors are more than willing to explain from A to Z about what you want to know and they do not rush you. I would recommend to anyone that wants wonderful care for their pets.
