The smell outside was not good.. smelled like stale fish. Food is average but the service was good. I would stick with the simple pasta dishes, stay away from the fish, especially the fish of the day.. they pushed it too hard and it was not fresh. Not expensive though, so if you're looking for a good place for a large party,. this may be the way to go.

bad food (bland and tasteless) bad service (got all orders wrong) and the view isn't that great (looks over a dumpy shoreline with anemic ducks strolling around) tip to other customers: stay home

FOOD IS OKAY. SERVICE IS SO-SO. CUSTOMERS ARE FRIENDLY SINCE WE ALL KNOW EACH OTHER BECAUSE OF THE OTB THERE. BIGGEST GRIPE...LOSE THE IPOD MUSIC AT THE BAR AREA.

I agree with the other reviewers, what spectacular views. It is really the best location on Sheepshead Bay. The staff was accommodating and the seafood was fresh and tasty. Salmon prepared in a very unique manner.

I agree more with first review about the service having issues, a gift certificate that I recently purchased was not honored beyond my beleif, and management was saying it was not going to be honored because the source it was purchased from was a mistake, but my gripe is that I paid money for that certificate and managment made no effort to compensate us at all, I refuse to go back to venue that does not care if there customers leave feeling bad.

Sheeps head bay is a great place to walk around.Ready to eat il fornetto is the best . the people are so nice they make you feel right at home ,the service is the best there pizza is so good you will want some more , there bar is great the drinks are always made the way you want them and the bar tenders make you feel right at home watch alittle tv ,talk with a friend and enjoy a ,wonderful meal.

Last Friday I treated my family to dinner at il Fornetto. The minute I walked in I was greeted with a warm welcome and seated immediately. The view of the boats and birds passing was spectacular. The service was great and the food was even better and the desserts are to die for. I would highly recommend this restaurant and catering hall. As for myself I decided to book my sisters bridal shower in there banquet room (Veranda). As we were leaving and the sun was going down on the water the Veranda room was elegant and calming. This is the best restaurant I have been to in Sheepshead Bay.

The food was very nice, but honestly you can not beat the view of this place. The decor of the restaurant itself is nice, but go there around sunset and it is beautiful. It is really a nice experience. The service was very good, as was the food. It was a little pricey, but I would still give it a try.

Best italian food on the bay. A great view of the bay. Windoew seating looking right out on the water. Seafood is fresh. Walk along the water to build up an appetite.

Dining room over the water - on a sunny afternoon/evening, it is really pretty. The food is consistenly good, and at times, better than average. Service has some issues.
