I can't thank them enough. I searched around for UPK n extended hours for my child. I was so blessed that i found this school. I give two thumbs up for Mr. Abe, Brad, Melanie, Jodie, Dana, Maggie, Diane and the rest of the staff. Mr. Abe, Brad, Melanie, Mrs. Maggie n Mrs. Diane are strict yet so welcoming, non judgmental and really care. My daughter said Ms.Jodie and Ms. Dana are like big kids, they made my daughter learned to open up her wings. My daughter did not speak english well, shy, and very quiet when she enrolled in, now she was blooming like a beautiful butterfly. Yes, the price is a little higher compare to elmhurst/near by neighborhoods, the school is looked well managed to me. They have a nice playground outside. my daughter went to the park twice a week, fieldtrips, etc. Overall, the school is very laid back with well rounded pre-k curriculum, my daughter excel in her kindergarten class as one of the top student. in the upk, she learned to raise her right hand and put the index finger of her left hand on her lips when she wanted to ask/answer questions. Her teacher use her as a good example n give her rewards for almost everyday for her well behaved, good helper, etc.

My child attended this school and it was a nightmare. The classrooms are dirty and old. My child was injured and i was not informed on what had happened i had to bring the marks on her/his face to THERE attention.I found out i paid top dollar to have my child go watch a movie for there 2 and a half hour program. I have a million things that are serious issues with this school. Bottom line me as well as other parents did not send our children back and we hope one day this facility will regain it's old reputation as a highly recommended nursery school of middle village.

My son attended this school for the summer at 5 years old. This year, I put him in a bigger camp (YPD) where there are 3x as many children in his age group alone. WHAT A BIG MISTAKE I MADE!!!! .....The staff at the Learning Tree are very well organized, mannerly and non-judgmental when dealing with children particularly of another race. I applaud Mr. Abe for a school where parents can feel safe sending their child. There is no lunch program for the amount of $$$ spent but hey...at least a mom knows what their child ate during the day.

Disappointing. There are too many students in a classroom. While your paying $, the children can be seen watching Barney videos and the staff will read the newspaper.

I have been there, seen it. It seems like repairs have not been done for more than 25 years. Everything looks very old, even the crayons for the kids. Also their tuition does not include meals, you need to bring the meals yourself. This is ridiculous

My toddler daughter has just about completed her first year at the Learning Tree. She is in the 2 year old class and we just enrolled her in the 3 year old class for September. In addition I just enrolled her in their summer camp!

This is not a daycare, but a school. When first arriving, my child was going through early intervention services for speech, vision, and occupational therapy. Her enrollment at the school only enhanced her learning and the staff at the Learning Tree have been top notch in her care and well being. She has thrived in their environment and I cannot imagine taking her anywhere else! She is babbling up a storm and no longer needs early intervention services under their care.

Abe, Brett, Collette and the several attentive staff have become like my toddler's family while she is at school. I am angered to read someone would say the Learning Tree students are 'unruly'. I beg to differ but every child I have come across is sweet, kind, smart and their manners of etiquette are A+. Whoever wrote that previous review must have some interest in a competitor.

I would highly suggest you stop by the school and speak with the staff, take a tour and speak with the parents. We count ourselves lucky we were blessed with such a great school for our child. It's the best beginning for her schooling we could ever ask for.

My daughter has been attending the Learning Tree since 1996. First, for Nursery school, then Preschool and Kindergarten. Since then, she attends their Summer camp program every summer.
My child learned to read before children her own age, she excelled continually and I credit their low student-child ratio for this. The administrative staff and taching staff are second to none. I was a very nervous mother to leave my 3 year old in a new place. I was invited to stop by ANY TIME to look through the window and watch my daughter. She loved going to the Learning Tree and I have no doubt any child would. I have never seen an 'unruly' child as another review stated. The children at the Learning Tree are not only taught manners, they use them all throughout the day.
I highly recommend this School to any parent and would gladly speak about my 10 year history with anyone!

As a former Kindergarten teacher, Myself and other teachers could pick out which children came from the Learning Tree because they were unruly, undisciplined, and had no concept of classroo structure, as did their pre-k counterparts. They were also not school-ready as far as their alphabet and math skills.
