Ralph has the lightest touch, but he WORKS out all of the kinks. He manages to massage very deeply without disrupting the zen of your experience. As a former dancer, I've had different types of massages for muscle strain, etc. Working two jobs, I tend to carry lots of stress in my body. Ralph really kneads all of your rough patches while maintaining the relaxing, restful experience that a massage should be. I am not going to any other masseuse. The train to the bus ride is well worth it!

I come here for my monthly facials and i always get Tamara. she is just the best. So sweet and really takes her time. the actual spa is a little small but very home like.

For the last few years I've been a customer of Natural Balance and I recommend them.

One of the first things that caught my eye about Natural Balance is the cleanliness of the place. It's immaculate. I also enjoy the Asian inspired decor which is simple and minimalist - not fussy or overdone.

I've had a variety of services there, but my favorite is the Natural Balance Signature Massage. I recommend massage therapist Vinny - he's professional, friendly and will tailor the massage to address your specific concerns and needs (e.g. tight muscles, stiff neck, sore calves, etc.). Or if you just want a simple relaxation massage with moderate pressure, he'll accommodate you with that as well.

Another thing I appreciate about Vinny is that he always gives you a massage for exactly the amount of time you paid for. I've been to other spas and therapists that shortchange you massage time (e.g. a massage advertised for 1 hr. only ends up being 50 or 55 minutes long). As long as you arrive on time for your appt., you will not have that problem with Vinny.

In general, I recommend Natural Balance for their massages - I've had the Hot Stone massage, which is soothing in the winter and makes you feel utterly relaxed, as well as Aromatherapy massage, Couples massage and the Hand, Foot and Scalp Treatment, which leaves your hands and feet soft to the touch (and is also good in the winter). Next on my list of massages to try is Shiatsu.

I wish they had a sauna/steam room, but overall I'm pleased with their services and accommodating staff.

I normally don't write reviews for these sort of things, but the massage I received at natural balance was by far the best I've ever had. My therapist Amy, was amazing and I decided only 10 minutes in that I would be coming back again as soon as i could...place was clean, comfortable, and smelled great, I didnt want to leave!! Thanx Amy, I will be back next week!!!

Your staff is the best. They are very professional and attentive to my needs and they seem to be truly concerned when I sometimes "crawl" in for a massage.
It has to be well over 10 years that I am a client and I have to say, I am very happy that you are in the neighborhood.

I came in a nervous wreck because I am fat and she was my gal in shining armor. Anyone who's a connoisseur of these review sites will recognize that a lot of these reviews posted for NB are positive, if amorphous-no real detail other than, "everybody's so nice, staff great." There's no particular review of an experience other than "it was all so good!" I suspect NB posted them. I've found the services other than massage stink AND they were overpriced.

Many of the massage staff are more than superb, but you can find them also working on their own CHEAPER online. I had a facial and pedicure from Tamara. It was horrendously impersonal and uncomfortable. Long ago I had tried the seaweed wrap. Some young girl was there at the time, and I can't say that she's still there, but again the actual wrap was freezing and unattentive. The cold lotion was virtually thrown onto me and there was not a relaxing massage given at anytime with it. Massage-Yes, Treatments-No! Save your hard earned bucks with at-home treatments!

Natural Balance is one of the best spa's that I've visited in Brooklyn... I first visited them in the summer 07'.. Myself and some friends planned a surprise spa day for our pregnant girlfriend who was getting married....The staff was so helpful to us.... Tamara and the receptionists allowed us to use the yoga room - and we were able to bring our own food.. listen to music and truly enjoy the day. They all assisted us and made us feel right at home. We had an amazing time... and felt like we were the only ones at the spa... Their treatment rooms are relaxing.... the soft & relaxing music is just right... and whoever thought that they couldn't get a "Manhattan type spa" in Brooklyn....think again.... The only thing missing at Natural Balance is showers.....but you hardly miss it... and they take such great care of you...during/after treatments.

I also sent my mother to Natural Balance for a surprise spa/birthday gift as well later in the year - and she could not stop talking about Dorothy & Tamara's "SOFT HANDS"!...She had never had a massage - and is very "iffy".. about people touching her.... I convinced her that she would be comfortable at Natural Balance.. and that she should trust me.... as soon as I saw her...the first thing she said was: "Touch me!.. touch me!... my skin is sooooooo soft"... She really enjoyed herself.. and loved her facial/paraffin/foot clay masque from Tamara... who explained everything to her.....And her massage from Dorothy was "GLORIOUS"..... :)

Natural Balance is the perfect place to treat yourself... to have a girlfriend spa day... or to treat your older loved ones who have never had a spa experience.... This is the right place for them.... They won't feel rushed.. or as if they are in a stuffy spa... like some places in the city..... Total professionalism...great atmosphere... and warm staff.......

I loved the facial/massage that I received... and can't wait to go back....

The entire experience at Natural Balance was EXCELLENT! From the time I made the reservation online to the time I paid my bill, the customer service was great. Everyone was very pleasant and professional. I enjoyed myself, and for the first time in 6 months I felt relaxed. I will be back again soon. Thanks for your amazing service!

Once entering Natural Balance you can actually begin to feel the unique surroundings, very pleasant atmosphere, terrific friendly personnel, and cleanliness beyond belief. i was totally immersed by the soft sounds as my massage was expertly being applied. I really could have stayed for more.
Highly recommended ......Brooklyn has a winner!!

I started to go to Natural Balance when my husband gave me a gift for pre-natal massages! I have been to couple of places before, but there was always something missing. In Natural Balance the prices are good, service in the front and back is excellent!!! I have been there for different procedures and I really don't have a single bad thing to say!! Keep up the good work!

I have been to quite a few spas in the city for massages, and my biggest complaint (aside from how expensive most of them are) is the fact that they are trying so hard to be "luxe spas" that they aren't focusing on giving massages! Here, that is not the case. While Natural Balance is very calming, and has a definite spa feel, it is more focused on the therapeutic value of its services. I got the most professional deep-tissue massage there, and came out feeling like a rubber-band. Everyone who's done any work on me here is friendly, focused, and skilled. Go to relax, and get amazing treatments (not to spend a million bucks on smelling $2 essential oils!).

I had been wanting to go to Natural Balance spa for some time after looking over their website and when I finally made my appointment and got there, I was extremely impressed! Not only is it in a very nice neighborhood, but the waiting room is very clean, bright and inviting. I was having a 90 minute aromatherapy massage and was happy to see that they have a binder listing all their aromatherapy blends and what each blend is best suited for. The room itself was large enough to be comfortable for both myself and the therapist, and was very cozy and quiet. I left the spa feeling relaxed and invigorated! I think next time around I'll try a package deal and spend more time!

I have had nothing but great experiences at Natural Balance. I went in for a Reflexology massage the first time I visited and it was incredibly relaxing. My feet felt like new. Because I am athletically active and have chronic issues with my quads, hamstrings and feet, I have also gone for deep tissue massages. After my first deep tissue I felt really loose and relieved of my pain. I was stretched and worked out in great detail, and I was very happy with the results. The heat therapy was a pleasant extra that I wasn't even expecting. They are true professionals who know what they're doing.There's no doubt I will continue to go to them for my massages. Having read an earlier review, I also wanted to mention that these are really the nicest people anywhere. They have always been very attentive to me and have always made me feel very welcome. From the moment I walk in I am instantly at ease because of the tranquil environment and the friendly faces. The front desk crew is especially lively and I don't even feel like a customer when I am there. I have recommended Natural Balance to many satisfied friends and I wanted to let everyone else know this place is definitely among the best I have ever been to, and having been to many other places, there are very few that compare to the value and results I have consistently received at Natural Balance.

Today I went to Natural Balance to inquire about their facials. I researched many spa's in brooklyn and thought that this was a great pick . Well I must say that my opinion changed as soon as I spoke to the receptionist. When I asked what type of facials are provided she handed me a booklet to read to find out on my own; I was expecting her to give me a run down on the facials. I stood at the front desk reading the booklet, I later asked will they be participating in spa week and she said no, She didn't make much eye contact with me and barely paid any attention to me while I was there. As a matter of fact she was too busy on the computer or something and only looked up when I asked a question. I didn't feel welcomed at all. I came in with the intention on booking an appoitment but left dissappointed and back to square one looking for a nice spa that makes me feel welcome. I think that this spa should work on making all customers and potentialcustomers feel comfortable and inform them on services, The receptionist/secretary job is to represent the buisness in a good light since they are the first person we see. For those that had a good experience great, but if the receptionist is bad i don't want to see the rest of the staff.

This was my first time at Natural Balance spa. i went in for a seaweed body wrap. I did a lot of research on what this service was "supposed" to be like. When you walk in, it smells great, the reception staff is warm and friendly. I arrived 30 min prior to my appt time, and was the first on there. They were not ready for me, and someone who came in 15 min after my arrival was taken in first. So, I was annoyed from the beginning. Tamara was servicing me, she intoduced herself and told me to undrres, etc.......I asked her explain how the wrap worked, and she gave me a very blah explanation. The wrap is supposed to be hot, they wrap you in plastic, and then a mylar covering, and then set up heat lamps. I never even broke a sweat! Then when they unwrap you, thr ac is still on blast, so I was literally shaking from being wet and uncovered. They advertised that you would receive a soothing neck massage while you layed in the wrap......I never got that. Overall, it was a crappy experience, and I will never return there for that service.

Being a Flight Attendant for a major global airline, I consider myself a bit of a massage connesuier. Having had massages in many different countries and in many differents styles I can truly say that they all can be found in one little corner of heaven in Brooklyn called Natural Balance. This spa has a plethora of experienced therapist to suit your every need. Do yourself a favor and spend and hour at Natural Balance. Tell them Eric sent you.

Natural Balance is located in Brooklyn and is a great place to go in an otherwise holistically challenged neighborhood. The owner is very nice and the therapists - especially Theresa who does massage therapy - are great. I had a terrific massage there my first time and subsequently returned for more services.

I have been a customer for years. The services that they provide are all excellent. I have taken advantage of monthly massages. I have had facials and am currently utilizing the acupunture services. Dr.Z is wonderful, so is Dorothy for massage. The front desk personnel treat you as family and are very accommodating. You get top quality services at affordable prices. I have to mention the owner Linda who continues to strive to maintain affordable prices so everyone can take advantage of the services. They have expanded their existing space and can handle more customers.

If you are looking for a welcoming & warm atomosphere as well as quality service, Natural Balance is worth checking out for any spa service you are looking for. The people who work there are very friendly, offering water or tea as soon as you sit down. The spa is set up beautifully, very comfortable, clean, with soothing music playing in the background. On top of all this, the services they provide are performed with exceptional quality. My husband and I have tried many different spa's, two in Manhattan and one other in Brooklyn. We finally ended our search once we tried Natural Balance. We were immediately put at ease and felt truly welcomed in this down to earth spa. We both highly recommend Natural Balance to anyone out there looking for an incomparable spa experience.

During my first visit, when I walked in my first reaction was "wow, this place smells great!" The atmosphere was so cozy, relaxing and very calming...not fancy, yet elegant. I was made to feel right at home by the friendly staff and it just got even better after that. This is a sweet, genuine place without all the hype. I received an amazingly thorough and detailed massage...one of the absolute best I've ever had, the entire place was immaculately clean and uncluttered, the staff was very warm and friendly, the service included little extras that I had not expected, the prices were very reasonable, and I left feeling transformed and terrific...highly recommended for the serious spa goer, even if it means going a little bit out of the way into the middle of Brooklyn...well worth the trip!
