Once is not enough!
by Lisa K.
This place is a real New York experience. Tepper is funky, dirty and just plain fun!! You can't just go once and think you have seen it. I suggest at least three visits before you get hooked. Seems they have improved their website and are posting more things. If you can't stay for the Sat. auction just leave an absentee bid. I have gotten cool gifts for friends and some of the best buys on mid-century modern stuff that is hidden among all the other more traditional antiques.

Um..why do they even have a storefront when you can't even walk around the store? didn't bother going back for the auction, front desk girl kinda rude...nothing looked that interesting anyway.

AMAZING!! I didn't think places like this existed anymore

a true treasure trove if you have the eye and love the hunt. I have decorated an entire apartment on what one piece of furniture would have cost me from a fancy dealer.

Consignors beware!
by J. P.
If your looking for a place to sell your stuff, STAY AWAY from this dump! They are more than happy to take your money once you buy something but if you trust your things to them to sell for you, lookout! It takes way longer than the 40 days (40 days!) they promise you when you sign their agreement and there's only ONE person you can call to talk to about your payment when its late! that's right - ONE guy! Not a department, A GUY. Who never actually picks up your call and waits at least FIVE messages in to bother calling you back! CONSIGNORS BEWARE - YOU'VE BEEN WARNED

Tepper Galleries has a wide selection of antique items. Everything from rugs, silverware, porcelain figurines, jewelry, pantings and furniture among other things. You could easily spend a few hours here looking at the items on display.

Tepper Galleries is all over the place in there weekly auctions. Pretty much what ever wanders in the door ends up in there weekly auctions. One minutes it's books the next Italian 18th century paintings and on it goes. Lots of stuff slips through the cracks here and you can get some real deals. More hurly burley than Christies and the others but they're for the most part not selling junk just estate sales. Drop in on one of there auctions but check there website first as I believe they don't take credit cards.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME
by robertopal
I must say, I totally agree with the last reviewer. I attended the preview and the auction this past weekend and what a waste of time! Nothing to look at and, cluttered and filthy "showroom", and cigarette stench for miles.
My parents used to buy here all the time but I think I'd rather wait for other sales, even if they aren't twice a month.
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
