I have been with Diane for as long as I can remember and my family has had their hair done by other staff at her salon and we have always been happy with our results. From the minute you walk in the salon the staff is friendly and makes you feel right at home. I also feel confident that they are up on the latest styles and techniques because they seem to be talking about a class they have been to on a regular basis. Alot of my friends have changed stylists over the years but I have never felt the need to do that. I would highly recommend Diane and all of her staff to anyone who asks.
Pros: Professional, Knowledgeable, Up on current techniques
I have been with Diane for over 20 years and am very comfortable telling her to do whatever she wants as I know I will look great!! She listens to me and my concerns and everyone is friendly and helpful. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Pros: friendly, knowledgeable
Everyone at Diane Testani Hair Salon is wonderful. I go to Jaimie who is both knowledgable and excellent at her job. I get compliments on my hair all the time. I color and highlight my hair and greatly appreciate the input I receive from both Diane and Jaimie as to what shades would be best for me as well as the best way to minimize the damage to my hair. My hair has never looked better!
Love Diane and her professional staff. They're friendly, helpful and up on all the latest techniques and styles. Good supply of quality hair products also. Call ahead... these ladies are in demand.
Pros: Great Service,Very Friendly
The salon is in a small strip mall, but inside is quaint and well designed. It almost feels like a chic little salon from the inside.
I went for a consult on my hair-I finally made the decision to go blonde. I have long dark hair that's been dyed to be dark for ages. I spoke on the phone with one of the girls (unsure of the name) who took the time to discuss my hair length, texture, and offered a free consult. I gladly accepted. Girls at work had spoken of this salon and said it was rather good, so I opted to go.
Once I got there, I was greeted by everyone at the front desk. The salon wasn't very busy and I was immediately seated. Jaime began discussion hair color options with me, insisting that there was no way she could highlight me heavily to blonde, and that I really needed a haircut. She was right. It went on and on though of her insisting I should go red instead of blonde, and Diane herself was standing at the next station working on an older woman's hair. Jaime turned to Diane asking for advice and Diane turned to me and said, "Honey, that's impossible for you to go blonde. I'm sorry but we'd all be standing in the back wondering if it would even look good."
Over the next 15 minutes they insisted blonde wasn't a great look for me, it would wash me out, and make me look "dead." They were nice, but in sort of a rude "know-it-all" way. They are the stylists, though. However, they made faces at my hair (which I didn't think looked bad to begin with!) and sort of picked through it. It made me feel uncomfortable and uneasy. I didn't feel welcome. They just weren't...nice! They didn't smile and weren't relatable.
I walked out sort of put off. I opted to go with another salon and I am THRILLED with how my hair come out. I did not ever return to Diane Testani's salon. The salon I chose to go with was very professional, very friendly and very open to my choice for my hairstyle. I guess it's all what you prefer in a stylist!
Pros: Ambience, inside appearance, parking
Cons: Unfriendly, didn't really listen to what I wanted
