A horrific and fashion backward experience, this salon left me broke and in a teriable condition, a condition that would cost me $200.00 to fix(by another salon).
I needed a full head of highlights done, thats it, nothing more. I was told the orginal price is $100.00 plus i have to pay for a toner and i quickly agreed to it so i can run to errans. initally i was give a male stylist(forgot his name, but he was the only white male there) he was very nervous and left with another stylist who works there, then another stylist by the name of laura came and started my highlights i went along with it. I was sitting on her chair for hours seems as if this was the 1st time she was working with highlights then finally finished and took me to the back washed my hair out, then another stylist just picks up a bottle kick laura out and started working on my hair, there was so much tenion between both of the stylist i was scared to even say anything much less look at myself in the mirror. Comming to an end everyone was asking someone to wash my hair. when it was all done and over with, my highlights was not the color i wanted/ASKED for and had to pay even more than what i was initally told it would cost me.
NOW 2 WEEKS LATER MY HAIR IS STILL BREAKING FROM THE HIGHLIGHTED PARTS AND MY HIGHLIGHTS CHANGED TO ANOTHER COLOR THAN THE UGLY ONE I LEFT WITH.

With my guess my highlights would be changing rainbow colors just like the salon i get it done.

This salon is a tragity, everyone is inexperienced, rude to themselves and coworkers and all they seem to talk about is PARTYING AND IMITATING ANOTHER PERSON LAUGHT. SO WEIRD.

I moved to NY 3 yrs back n have not found a single stylist who cud color/cut my hair the way i like it ...n i was v skeptical when i first went to Aimee's a yr back but they definitely know how to be professional yet Friendly ..the atmosphere is v professional , clean n tidy in fact v stylish n high end salon compared to the other salons in Forest Hills .Its been a year now my husband n I have been going there for Hair cuts, color and Facials and boyyyyy do i love it .Best deals all year around with the best Quality of work.Ryan definitely is highly recommended by me , I've had highlights, color , cuts by him n every time i get tons of compliments esp my highlights ....he always makes me look gorgeous with his special blow dry techniques:) .I highly recommend him n trust him with all my special occasions.my hubby who hates spending money for his haircuts is now a regular client of his too .. I'm sure he will b my Stylist as long as i stay in Forest Hills. Aimee , Simona, Cristy everyone is definitely worth praising ...keep up the good work guys ....Highly recommend this salon to whoever is looking for professionalism , Quality and bargain deals..

The ad says 3 processes is $99. i even called to make sure i can get a dye, whole head highlights and glaze. They said yes. I went there and was told that the highlights is only for the crown of your head, if i want half head it would be 2 processes already and since i want highlight I must get toner too. I dont even want to go into detail how fake ryan is. he told me wrong prices and lied to my face when i went to pay so i ended paying alot more then i should have. Fakest place ever

Lazar cut my hair and Simona styled it (blow-out). They both did a great job. I was treated well, the visit was quick (they took me as soon as I walked in the door for my appointment.) and the price was very reasonable. I was expecting to pay a lot more since they're located on Austin Street right in the heart of Forest Hills. I'll definitely go back again & would highly recommend this salon.

If you need you hair done make sure you get it done by MAZAL! She is truly amaizng and is very talented! I recommend her to anyone and everyone. She is truly the best hairstylist ever!

My hair was ruined and was colored greenish. I went to mazal and she fixed with coloring it brown, put some highlights and a hair cut. I loved it. I tell all my friend to go to the Aimee salon and ask for mazal.

I would reccomend Mazal for any cut you are looking for! I can in and chopped off all my hair- and it came out great! I've seen her do color on someone's hair and it came out great...def make an appointment before she gets booked up!

I decided to try this salon bacause their staff and place looked very proffesional and young. They definitely stand out amonst the rest, i had a beautiful color done and was treated excellently! everyone here is very friendly and accomodating. I receieved many compliments on my color and i will def. come back here again!!

Everytime I go I always get EXACTLY what i want because the stylists know how to listen! This place is not only gorgeously decorated but they also offer a million services so i can get everything done in one place. The manicurist, Kristy is the sweetest and of course my hairdresser, Jose is beyond FABULOUS!!! They are always willing to accomodate me with a diff. but equally great stylist when i forget to make an appt. which is really a plus.I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great spot to get beautiful!!

k so i dont understand the nasty reviews under me but w/e people have issues! lol i have been a client for almost 2 years now and i've never had better service elsewhere. my stylist is jose. and he is a master at what he does! my hair has never been healthier he really knows how to do my color without burning all my hair off. i've tried their facials before and they are FANTASTIC!!! I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to look and feel as beautiful as they me feel everytime i go!!! :)

jose is an awesome hair stylist and super friendly. I only go to him and wouldn't trust anybody else. I used to go to an obnoxious long island salon but Aimee simply blows the rest away. I think the people below had a bad experience or they are simply angry at life- They must have greater issues. Try seeking a therapist!!

I went to Jose for a haircut, my hair is thin and fine. Everytime I get a hair cut somewhere else, I walked out with a frown. I went to Jose and he was the answer to every hair prayer I had! I knew how to cut my hair according to my face, and he gave me great tips to make it grow healthier and shinier.
It was comfortable to walk into, clean, and although it is on Austin Street it wasn't stuck up. But some of the clientele is...I would go with a friend and after a great cut, go across the street to 5 Boros for some great brunch!

I think the stylists are very friendly and I dont understand how some1 can say they belong elsewhere when they wear all black? that makes no sense.. as for the owner i think she looks great all the time. you shud just stay at miccicci and keep ur comments hunnii =]

I have known Jose M. for well over 7 years and I have always had great service from him. His sense of color and style is impeccable; I always feel that I've walked out of a 5th Avenue salon when he is finished! He is always careful to ask me what I would like before he does anything. The thing I've always liked best about him is his sensitivity: his politeness is almost courtly and he is most professional. It's a refreshing change from some hairdressers who make you feel so vulnerable once you are in that chair. I can't imagine him ever being rude or ignoring a customer. He is just not that type. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. Most of the time he is high-spirited and jovial, and just a joy to be with.Aimee Salon is a jewel in the crown of Austin Street. Of all the salons in that area, and I've been to a few, this is a treasure. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and always welcoming. The decor is beautiful.In closing, I would just like to add a remark about the other customers' negative comments: I think there is more to the story then meets the eye. I don't believe them. I have never, ever, witnessed an unpleasant incident at the salon in all the years I've been going there. And I've never, ever, known Jose doing anything remotely unprofessional as mentioned.

I went here on a friend's recommendation - I needed something so simple. I had a mild relaxer and it could be used at home but I'm getting married in 3 weeks and I wanted a professional to do it 'just in case'. I saw Jose (after waiting for an HOUR). He barely gave me any notice while I was in his chair. He slapped the product in my hair and I had to beg someone to rinse it only to find out he had MIXED the neutralizer in with the relaxer because he didn't read the directions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was an at-home retexturizer that takes 15 minutes and he couldn't handle that??? He was so busy smoking outside, and working with other clients at the same time and ignoring me that he didn't do what I came in there for. Then they wouldn't let me leave without charging me $52! For WHAT??? I paid $20 for the product, paid for gas to drive from Brooklyn and then I had to pay for them to ruin my opportunity to have the silky hair that I wanted for my wedding?!?!?!? I was hysterical and the owner rinsed it out of my hair, calmed me down and tried to sell me her services as a makeup artist...lol...NOT gonna happen! I will never return, and I will do whatever I can to stay out of the borough of Queens because of this place...honestly, I think the dude couldn't read.

I had a truly horrendous experience at this place. I got Jose M. who assured me he knew what I was after, and then gave me the worst cut of my life while he was busy chit chatting with the other stylists, andl ooking everywhere but at my head. It wasn't just a haircut I didn't like, it was a lazy, clumsy, cheap haircut with bangs like my mother could have done when I was in 2nd grade. I would have sued them if I had kept the receipts for all the fix-it work other haircutters had to do while it grew out. But I didn't so there was no proof of all the money I spent repairing this. That was in November of 2005. My hair is still growing out from that mess.

I brought my daughter with me and we both had a great experience.
They are warm and service oriented. We both left with a new look for spring 2007! They give a color and style consultation. There are several members of the team that work to get you in and out of the salon in a timely fashion. They have a multi-lingual team to help to serve the community. Hair products are highly professional and anti-allegenic.

My wife often goes here to get her eyebrows and nails done, and I think they really do a fantastic job. She always comes out looking amazing and feeling great about herself. Their prices are to be expected, but they are fully worth it, I couldn't see making my wife have to go for the second best. I would highly recommend. Men, treat your wife to the best out there!

I originally went there for a brow wax, but Cyndi the woman who does this service inspected my face and said I should do threading instead. I decided to do it.

Well, it hurt.

But that is not because of the talented Cyndi. While waxing removes hair in one flew swoop, threading hurts because it pulls at each indvidual root of hair. But the results are so much better. No lasting reddness or bumps and most importantly, a great and impressive arch.

Of the times I went I either walked-in and was seen within minutes or called and had an available appointment.

One could miss this little shop on Austin Street, it's tiny with a small facade, but do your best to find it. Oh and it is super inexpensive.

PROS: Perfection
CONS: Ouch it hurts
