Decent
I just recently joined this gym, as I moved from Queens to Brooklyn a month ago. I had been at another, much larger gym. This gym is ok for what it is. Parking can be tough on the street (meters). They have a "parking lot" but it's a lot next door, and you get a discount there. But to have to pay to park daily (plus tip) is not my idea of "ample parking." The place is extremely clean. I go during the day, and they have a guy who is all over the place cleaning. The staff is very professional looking, as well as friendly. The gym is tight, and the ab area is in a small room with some cardio stuff. If more than 2-3 people want to do abs at once, it could easily become elbow to elbow. The locker room is outdated, but serves its purpose. I have not used the shower or sauna. Overall it is ok...not sure if there are better in Brooklyn.

Best gym
I have to say that this is easiest the cleanest and the most taken care of gym i have ever been in. The gym is high profile and has excellent equipment. I was amazed at how clean and sweat free the machines were, you were actually able to use them with out wiping the sweat of first. Excellent machines and nice personal trainers the staff is also friendly and helpful. A lot of body builders use this gym and the best part is that its open 24 Hours 7 days a week. One disadvantage is high membership fees. But what you get its defiantly worth it.

The worst
If you like LOUD MUSIC constantly playing. SO LOUD, you cannot hear your I POD this dump is for you.
The staff is anything but helpful. The equipment is very old and the barbells are a constant hassle to find two that match. The bathroom sinks are from the stone age and the locker room and shower room are more often than not a total mess.
Better of paying a little more somewhere esle where you patronage is appreciated.
Pros: none

Ok value for the money
After having been a member at a number of gyms across the country, I can not rate this gym very highly. Yes, the gym is open 24 hours on weekdays, features classes, lots of equipment, towels, nice sauna, protein shakes, relatively friendly staff and reasonable membership costs.
... However - the equipment is pretty old, the locker rooms, the showers and the steam rooms are uncomfortable, run down and smelly. Overall, I would recommend this gym as not a bad value for money, but it is far from the "best gym in Brooklyn" it aspires to be.
Pros: work hours, spaciousness, staff
Cons: old equipment, shabby interiors, locker rooms

Great Place to Workout
After having my children I wanted to drop the baby weight. I used to be a long time member of Living Well Lady, but since they closed I needed to look around for a local gym. At first I was hesitant to join a gym that was coed, but after I tried a free guest pass I saw that everyone does their own thing. The staff is very nice and helpful. Chris, one of the owners, is very nice and goes out his way to answer your questions and make you feel welcome. I have been a member for a few years now and have encouraged a group of my friends to join with me. We all have a great time working out together and if needed they have a babysitting room with video monitor that you can watch your child/children from the gym floor. The exercise classes are great. I recently discovered Karen's Spin Class and she is amazing. I use both the Bay Ridge & Park Slope locations. I don't have anything negative to say about either gym. Even the locker rooms and entire gym is kept clean and up-to-date. I love the new treadmills and Elliptical Trainers. I go several times a week at all different times and have had a great workout experience each time. I even tried the personal trainer sessions and learned alot about different ways to workout. I really enjoy going to Harbor Fitness and I'm glad I took the chance to take a tour and use the free guest passes they offer. I look forward to working out and doing it in a great atmosphere.
Pros: Fresh hot towels, variety of classes, overall great gym

Best gym...
This health club is "Best of the Best" for Brooklyn--overall facilty spares nothing and these guys that run it know what it takes to make members happy.. This place is clean, has tons of equipment, classes, childcare and no excuses, when they are open for 24 hours.
I've tried other healthclubs and they are so pale in comparison--and lack everything that this facility has to offer for the $$$$$.... Check it out....you wont be dissapointed.
Pros: parking lot, clean, classes

great gym
wow. You should see what these guys did to this gym. They just remodeled the entire club, and it rivals any top gym in manhattan, the ceilings must be 20 feet high, the colors are super, the cardio theater is great, I get a great motivating workout there, and the yoga classes are great too
Pros: clean, always open, freindly
