I love going to Aliottas. This pastry shop is just as good as any pastry shop in benson hurst or manhattan. The pastries and cakes are fresh and delicious. They have fruit pies that are just amazing and the Italian Cheesecake is mouth watery. The only thing is that it is a bit pricey. I still go there regardless of the cost, but i just go there for special occassions. The service is always good and I recommend it highly.

We go to Aliotta probably a few times a month for pastries/cakes/pies, and it is really hit or miss. But what is ALWAYS a miss are the nasty employees there! They are obnoxious, rude, nasty, unpleasant--- almost makes me want to throw a pie in their faces.
If you have another bakery to go to--GO!

We go here if we absolutley have no other option due to timing problems and travelling. But will probably avoid it, the nasty run-ins with their employees are just not worth it.

We go upstate at least 3-4 times a year and I've brought pastry from at least 5 other shops (and some are really well know in Brooklyn), but my relatives insist that Aliotta's is still the best.
The baker is so artistic, the cakes and pastries are great. What else could you ask for?

I went to Aliotta for baked goods for a long time, but I don't think I'll go any more. I went a week in advance to order a cake for my daughters birthday, and explained that I wanted chocolate around the outside of the cake. Other than that, I wanted a regular birthday cake. Is that so hard to understand? What did I find when I opened the box? I found a cake with chocolate drizzeled all over the top of the cake so you couldn't even read the words, that were written in horrendous purple, with multi-color confetti strewn all over the cake. UGLY!!! This was for a baby's birthday! My wife called them up and went ballistic and they tried to blame her for ordering something other than a plain old birthday cake. Meanwhile they did a cake just like we wanted about four times before this and had no problem. If they didn't understand what we wanted, they could have called us! She finally got a store credit out of them.
