Pediatric Associates

Our pediatrician here is fine but the receptionists and back office staff members are completely incompetent! Expect to ask for a prescription or a form to be filled out twice. They always forget some detail that will require the parent to go back and ask again - not exactly best for working parents with an unforgiving schedule. Also, they charge $25 per form to be filled out. Ridiculous! And they say that their print out suffices but when I took their printout and brought it to the institution that required my child's medical and physical information, the institution point out that they didn't fill out this and that, etc. I'm thinking about twitching to some place else that has caring doctors AND a caring, detail-oriented staff. Any recommendations from ex-Pediatric Associates NYC patrons or those who've had similar, frustrating experiences?

There are several doctors at this practice. They are all wonderful. The one that my three son's use is Dr. Paula Prezioso. She returns calls quite quickly. All the doctors are aware of all the patients in the practice. The practice has thousands of patients and the doctors are well known and constantly written up all over.

I was a patient of theirs for 18 years, and I always recieved excellent care. The doctors are gentle, experienced, and very good at putting children at ease. Several of their pediatricians are regularly written up in New York magazine as the best in the business. However, they are incredibly popular, and first-time patients may have trouble getting an appointment quickly.
