Video Free Brooklyn

The layout of this video store, though small, somehow allows you to find the perfect movie for your fickle mood. Whether documentary, indie, main stream or animation, they have it all and are eager to recommend their favorites. A cheap rental, but beware, you can only have new releases for 1 night.

Although the people working the counter can sometimes act pretentious about your DVD choices, this is a great alternative to Blockbuster. While there aren't as many of the DVDs in stock, the selection is great and teh staff will help you find something to suit your mood. They definitely have a good selection of indie and harder to find films as well as classics. Renting old videos is usually $2.50, new ones $3.50, but watch yourself, the late fees can be quite pricey.

Great name, not really sure what it means, bored clerk, and good (though not huge) selection of indie-type fare on DVD. All I know is they had Grey Gardens there, so props to this shop.
