The perfect greasy spoon. The prices are cheap and the classic breakfast is always a winner. The service is fast. Cool college atmosphere and piping hot coffee.

I fell in love with this place in high school, and would recommend it to anyone who wants a sense of what makes Buffalo a special place. This place has great, imaginative grub, a fun atmosphere, and an arts and music culture-of-the-moment that truly whets the appetite.

"Veggie wet shoes" (I think that's the name) is the guilty pleasure I recommend most, although pecan and banana buck wheat pancakes will satisfy morning noon and night.

I haven't experienced it as dirty...hope it's not gone down hill since my last visit, about 1 year ago...

I agree with other reviewers that Amy's has a college feel, and cheap good tasting food. However, the cleanliness of this place is woefully inadequate. I have never seen more garbage on the floor of a restaurant, and I have frequented dives for over 25 years. Even the poorest of college students should not have to eat under those conditions.

There are very few places that I would go after a night on the town for a late night breakfast. Amy's is one of those places. I've done that so many times, I can't recall.

Their omelets are great and I love their home fries.

This joint is the best restaurant in the college town area. Ambience is some kind of counterculture breakfast diner. Students, Professors, Professionals, punks and preps all eating together and enjoying the tasty fare. Every special is better than the next. I love the art on the walls that changes nearly weekly and vast range of music that play while the flat bread turns. Mid eastern dishes are crazy good as well.

I absolutely love this place. Amy's place is located on Main St. on the edge of University at Buffalo (South Campus). The staff is extremely friendly. It has the old diner feel to it. The place boasts of a wide selection of food and extremely cheap prices (VERY student friendly). Get the bottomless coffee or the never-ending homemade Iced Tea. You will not be disappointed. For food, get the Florentine burger or the eggs, home fries and toast. They have the best home fries in Buffalo. If you can wake up for the breakfast specials (6am - 9am), $1.99 buys you 2eggs, home fries and toast! Parking is difficult and be prepared to come out smelling like food!
