After reading this comment by jillian, i must say i am taken aback at why she would attack a truly fine animal hospital??
First let me start by saying i have been a client since the 80's, and western new york is very lucky to have DR. Monti and his staff here in middleport ny.
At times, i was recommened to different specialists ,per Dr. Monti, with some specific health issue's with my pets,(eye doc's, TPLO's) and from here to Rochester to Canada, they all say the same thing "do you know how lucky you are to have a vet like Dr.Monti?" i of course say "yes i do".
This is truly a compassionate, knowledgeable and above and beyond care giving veterinarian.

If you are not a patient, i would be a little upset if my pet needed treatment and you took up that time slot. As a serious and dedicated pet owner, i have a plan for emergency. First, my vet..Dr. Monti, and then if need be, if after 11:00pm, i just pack up and go to one of the 2 area emergency clinics in rochester and amherest
I would never, impose my lack of a game plan on a doctor, who is NOT my doctor.

Pet owners of WNY, this is where you want your pet to be cared for....Dr.Monti, ridge vets and staff are OUTSTANDING......PERIOD~~~

I guess when they say "their patients", in their mission statement, they mean it quite literally. Last evening our cat, who was fine sometime around 9pm, suddenly collapsed, lost all mobility and started convulsing. We were at our wits end calling every emergency vet number we could. One of our first calls was to Ridge Animal Hospital. We have been customers of theirs in the past, but this particular cat is not their patient and they refused to see her.

The woman on the other end was not only extremely condescending and but could have absolutely cared less that this animal was suffering.

I would only have what question for them and that would be whatever happened to compassion?

Fortunately we got the help we needed and I would like to thank that clinic for legitimately caring about the well being of animals , regardless of monetary gain, something that I cannot say for all "animal caregivers" in the Western New York area.
