Incompetence, incompetence, incompetence. From start to finish, my experience at Dynasty was a mess. I went there to have my Maid of Honor dress tailored--I've never had a bad experience with alterations--I'm easy to fit and easy to please--but my experience at Dynasty made me realize that some tailors are morons. And those tailors work at Dynasty.

Time and again, they failed to complete the promised alterations on time. I'd show up--having left work early--and my dress would not only be incomplete but tailored completely wrong. I'd then try it on and have it refitted, show up again over a week later, and see that they had done the job wrong again. One time they took the dress in so much that I could not even get the zipper up.

"It's fine!" they smiled. "Um, no it's not!" I said. "That's how you wanted it." "Um, no...I have back cleavage. I did not request back cleavage." Keep in mind that when I brought in this dress it was about 4 sizes too big--somehow these people managed the impossible--to make it too small for a size 2.

So finally, on my fourth visit, I tried on a very snug dress, and, confident that I could get into it on my sister's wedding, I took it home. A few days later, I tried it on with the bride to see how it would look with my jewelry. It was then that I noticed a layer of crinoline peaking out below the hem. We investigated. THEY HAD NEVER HEMMED THE CRINOLINE. In place of a hem were a few temporary pins; i guess one had fallen out (THANK GOD) while I was trying it on at home. Otherwise, I'm positive this would have happened at the wedding, causing everyone ridiculous stress and ruining our photos.

Oh, and I did I mention that they don't open on time? I tried to get there before work and ended up standing outside for 20 minutes in the cold waiting for the late owner--who barely apologized.

If you're already stressed about a wedding, DON'T GO HERE. Oh yeah, and they charged me over $250 for this monstrosity.

I brought a $50 cotton knee-length dress in to be hemmed about 1 inch. I came back a week later to pick it up and couldn't read the price on the slip. I thought it said $7.50. But no. It was $75!!!!! I asked why so much and the woman behind the counter said because it had a lining. I could care less about the lining. All in all, I paid $81 after taxes to have about an inch removed from a $50 dress!!!!!!
