My mother and I stummbled upon this restaurant on our way to another place that we found on Citysearch. It was AMAZING! The restaurant is very cozy, the staff very friendly and the food was honestly the best I've had in a very long time if ever. The portions were gigantic and the dishes beautifully put together.
Pros: excellent food and service
Cons: none

Best Italian in Brooklyn
by ktavella
I was at Marco Polo last night for dinner for their 25th anniversary. We had excellent dinner and service. We enjoyed the rissoto tartufo and pappardell with rabbit sauce. We enjoyed the wine and the atmosphere. I think it is the best Italian restaraunt in Brooklyn.

A Special Night!
by ktavella2
A friend had recomended Marco Polo to us and we went to the restaraunt . At first we were very afraid because it looked very expensive. When we sat down the waiter recommended the filet of sea bass with potatoes and apple with a julienne of orange and lemon. It was a very interesting choice and we were unsure if we would like it. We ordered the sea bass and to our surprise it was excellent. We had a great excellent at an affordable price. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. We loved the restaurant and will defintley be returning in the future.
Pros: Excellent Dining

Great All Around
by angelaaa
I was just at Marco Polo last night for Valentines Day and it was amazing. My boyfriend and I were seated at a very nice table towards the back and they had a piano player who also went around playing the violin to songs that everyone knew. It was very romantic and the food was great . We also ordered a bottle of wine, and the minute my boyfriend raised his arm to refill our glasses, there was our waiter who ran over to him and took it from him so that he could pour it, I thought that was so nice. Anyone who says that the service there is bad, is mistaken. I have no complaints at all. Just make a reservation before hand and you wont have any problems waiting. I would definately reccomend this restuarant to anyone. The parking wasn't that bad either. I can't wait to go back!
Pros: Ambiance, Food, Service

The Way it should be...
by matt_perez83
Let me first say, I am a 22 year old Manhattanite - and this is the way Italian dining should be done...LEAVE MANHATTAN FOR THIS PLACE! -The owner had bricklayers from Italy to build the building... from scratch - the piano, bar, food, service are all exceptional...I reccomend Marco Polo for all - but especially for the young trendy/hip who have grown up on terribly dim lighting, strange food, astronomically priced menus, SNOOTY hosts & OK service - Marco Polo is the antithesis of all these downers - Guys, you will be treated like a King - and if you bring a date (YOU SHOULD) - she'll be your queen before the espresso and Sambuca get there. ENJOY

Don't miss the Fetucine al Vino Rosso
by jde1065
Fetucine al Vino Rosso is ampng thebest pasta dishes known to man. I'm not exaggerating. Imagine a red wine pasta made at the restaurant with a red wine suace that is then tossed in a scraped out cheese wheel with lots of Parmigiano Reggianno and you've imagined a taste of heaven.
I work nearby and have hosted many clients and friends at Marco Polo. They don't just say they are thrilled I know many have made the trek back to Brooklyn only to eat here. There isn't a bad dish on the menu so try to leave room for dessert.
Pros: Piano, Valet parking, Great chef
