We had to get our food to go after waiting an hour from sit down to asking for it to go. I was waiting outside of the kitchen door when a girl I grabbed up front asked for me. She was received with a big 'R u effing kiddin me and I poked my head in the door and said no I am not kidding. The food was not on any plates, so whats the big deal of putting in styrofoam instead of on the plate. We were treated very rudely after that. I asked our waitress if the gratuity was already added in case thats what they were so excited about. And it was. I asked if the bags they gave us ,had plasticware. The waitress said it did . It didn't. So we ate all our food with our hands as we rode in our little mini bus to our 1st winery. To conclude...The food was very good the service And attitudes SUCKED. Will not return on any future visits.

Went to Glenwood Pines on a slow Sunday afternoon. After being seated, we waited fifteen minutes without even a drink order being taken. Literally, watched one of the servers sit down in the back and chat with one of the cooks. Completely unacceptable service. Only place I've EVER walked out.

Looks like a dive but has some of the best burgers in town. Other food there is good, not great.
Has pool and some video games for the kiddies.

The Pines is the worst kept secret in Ithaca for
burgers. Originally I was told to go because they
had the best onion rings. They're good, but not
the best. However their burgers, especially their
Pine Burger is especially good and filling. I can't
believe one reviewer said two fill him/her up. I
can barely eat one. Good value for your $ and
nice service.

My dad and I stumbled into this restaurant when I was in my freshman year. It is tucked away from the Cornell campus and also downtown Ithaca and is about a 7 - 10 min drive. However, the drive is worth it. The menu is fair and the prices are very good. Most people get the "world famous pinesburger". It is cheap and very good. I usually get 2 to fill me up, but that will only run $10 - $12. The Jalepeno poppers and fried mushrooms are also great. This place has a great atmosphere and I come here with groups of friends all the time. The waiteresses are always friendly and take of you very well.

A casual eatery four miles north of Cass Park on Route 89, with an active bar and plenty of relaxed seating. We highly recommend the fresh fish fry dinner or sandwich (depending on how hungry you are) or the infamous Pinesburger, served on French bread.
