Bimmers Only

I paid Bimmer's Only to do a Pre Purchase Inspection on a car that they had performed work on in the past and they didn't check anything. The car had severe rust issues (floor board, fire wall, around front windshield, around battery, around license plates lights). Also the car had clear evidence of being in an accident and the cruise control didn't work. I ended pursuing a lawsuit against the seller of the car and the owner of Bimmers Only came to his defense stating that Bimmers Only performed an inspection on the car and any rust I found must have been minuscule (hmmm how suspicous is that). Well the judge that awarded me the most possible in small claims ($5000) sure didn't find the rust minuscule. Not to mention I was the one who paid Bimmers Only for the inspection and not the seller. I picked Bimmers Only as they are supposed to be knowledgeable of the older BMWs and they serviced my cars serviced the past and I was satisfied. Clearly they are not as knowlegable as I would expect as a simple search for things to look out for when buying the car I purchased all mention checking for rust in the problems areas mentioned in my post.

We live in Riverdale, NY and although Bimmers isn't really close to us, it is really convenient. Straight shot up the HH Parkway, drop the car, and take the Metro North back.
We love this neighborhood BMW shop and Graham, the owner, has done a great job keeping our old 535i alive.
