Since forever...

by Jackie M. | insider Insider | Rank: 13,922

I've been going to this restaurant since I was a baby. The food is great and well prepared. Its a great restaurant (moderately priced) to go to if you just don't feel like cooking. Be forewarned - you're immediately served bread and complimentary soup upon being seated so don't go overboard with ordering appetizers. I recommend the mussels in green sauce.

pampered service and divine food

by Alan B. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,313

We have been going to this long running establishment since 1980 and have never been disappointed once. The food and service are excellent and the San Gria made to linger over and get tipsy.
An inside tip : try it Monday through Thursday and order the full dinner with coffee and dessert and youll pay a price so low for a full meal youll wonder how they stay in business.
My fav is the stuffed trout!!

complain about Spain

by enfeil3

This restaurant has no atmosphere whatsoever, unless you call a few posters of Spain hung up on otherwise bare white walls decorative. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms and stuffed trout, both stuffed with crabmeat that tasted rank! Our server lamely offered a free after-dinner drink to make up for it after he failed to even ask how the food was once it was served. The garlic shrimp appetizer was pretty good, however (at least relatively) and the pitchers of sangria are good and cheap. I recommend this place only if you want to take your grandparents to get sloshed and you can always fill up on bread and butter.

Pros: cheap, tasty sangria, prixfixe is good valu

Cons: inattentive service, no atmosphere
