Always have a good time at Live Bait. It's a newish place but feels like an old time bar. Good music and wide selection of beer. Great place to come with friends.

Pros: Tasty food, good drink selection, after-work crowd

Cons: Slow service, long waits

Live Bait has the appearance of being a dive but don't let its cluttered maritime decor fool you, the prices aren't at all down home. There is a raw bar, although I have never been adventurous enough to try anything from it, and the meals selections are ordinary and edible. It is a good place to go after work although it can get crowded.

Lackluster food, a long wait, non exsistent service and ridiculously high priced. A total disaster.

When you look in the entrance way, you probably can only see people blockcading the bar area to the Live Bait. However, beyond the drinking crowd are tables to sit, tv, and music. The food is great, so two thumbs up to the chefs there.

I ate there the other night, and it was awful. I ordered the jerk chicken, and it ended up being a piece of breast smothered in ground pepper. Thats it. The only flavor was burnt. My friend got the blackended catfish and red beans and

Working next to this place for a year, I kept passing by, assuming it was either a fish store or a quirky bar. Actually, it has a solid menu replete with po' boys, jamabalaya, gumbo, some quality fries, and some Confederate-themed

I didn't try the food on a recent weeknight meeting a friend for beers, but the overall atmosphere was pretty fun. Moreover, the relaxed bartenders were friendly and speedy. Unfortunately they pour pints of Yuengling that cost $6, and
