.

Used for a couple of months for dog walking and seemed capable.

Major problems arose when I requested other/additional services:

One time I took a day trip and requested my pooch be fed and left the food on the stove (by the leash). When I returned late that night the food was still sitting there with the leash and of course the dog was starving.

The next time I took a day trip and requested my pooch again be fed. This time I wrote instructions under the food (next to the leash). When I returned early the next morning...it was apparent the dog was walked, but the food was still sitting by the leash untouched and again the dog was starving.

Both times the note "feed dog" appeared on my invoice, but somehow was not communicated to the walker. Both times I told the manager (or whoever answers the phone), they were perturbed, did not offer an explanation nor an apology.

On my 2nd boarding service, they returned him a day early. Luckily, I was checking my work blackberry (while I was on vacation) and found an email from them on the day I left work indicating they would be dropping him off a day earlier. Apparently, they choose to ignore my Out of Office notification and not call me. Again the owner/manager offered no explanation or apology....they offered to walk him and claimed they did. When I returned home early the morning after...his water dish was bone dry, the dog was starving for food, and he filled up about three bags when I took him out to walk.

When I spoke with the owner/manager, he was argumentative and blamed me. He even attempted to charge me for the "walks" which were as a result of them returning the dog a day early.

There are too many dog walkers on the Upper West Side and I am paying too much money to have to put my pooch at risk in the care of people who are careless and not accountable...You would be wise to do as I have done and look elsewhere for pet care.
