The pizza is good as well as the other dishes. They deliver and the service is prompt. I would not reccommend them because of their staff. They are not friendly and one day when I was there they would not seat a blind person with a guide dog.

When we're in Queens we pick up a couple of pies at this pizza place and head over to my cousin to indulge ourselves. The sauce and crust are perfect! Bravo Avellino!

This was the preferred pizza place back when I worked in Rego Park. We ordered in pizza from here and I've also sat inside and ate. They have good pasta and heroes as well.

This a good pizza place. The pizza and pasta dishes are delicious. You usually have to wait awhile for your order because they are so busy, but it is worth it.

The worst experience ever!!!!
by ywcnyc
The worst experience ever! Bad customer service really make the food taste even worst. Nothing special about the food and that makes it overpriced. The pizza is watery, the curst has no taste... I think a supermarket pizza dough taste better. By the way, we pay $26 for the worst medium pizza (with the wrong topping even) and the worst attitude. We learn not to go again.
Cons: The whole experience is a con...

Was in the mood for good pizza
by BklynBoy4
Thought to have a good pizza meal by ordering a custom made pizza- after being met with some resistance the pizza man 'warns' me this will be $25. I agree figuring it's worth the wait. Nothing so out of the ordinary- fresh mozarell, basil, tomato and sausage. When called to get pizza I see main ingredient was omitted- when I mention it the pizza man he impatiently responds- 'three dollars extra'. I take the pie as is- no apology. The pie was half baked and watery- this experience will keep me away from pizza in general for a while and from Avellino forever.

Quality ingredients and friendly staff
by RIX84
Nice neighbourhood pizzeria with good quality ingredients, I am a big fan of their pizza blanca, and also the mozerella with basil always fresh with virgin olive oil drizzled on top. Brings the italian back to pizza! Friendly staff and I can see it has neighbourhood regulars all on a first name basis.
Pros: best pizza in rego park

Good but not great
by carlyle
Like so many New York pizzerias these days, so this one skimps on the sauce and seems to have something against garlic and spices ... but it's still better than a lot of others, which simply taste of the cardboard box they come in. Still, if you want great pizza these days in New York, it's almost impossible to find and you're better off just making it at home.

Solid meal spot
by bucky4
Do yourself a favor if you ever find yourself in Rego Park and hit up Avellino's Pizza... the pizza is a no-brainer, and the dinners are drastically underrated. Try the lasagna (a personal favorite), the carbonara or the parm... all delightful and reasonably priced.
Great wait staff as well.. if you play your cards right you may end up with a free glass of wine or 5
Pros: inexpensive, great staff, value

This Pizza Is King In Queens!
by amboy1968
With the first bite of Avellino's uniquely-tangy pizza, the tastebuds seem to sing with the discovery of one of the best pies in the five boroughs. The crust is a work of art, the proportion of cheese to sauce is almost scientific in its perfection, and what heavenly sauce, with a tang that puts every other pizzeria in a five-mile radius to shame! It's obvious why Avellino's has ruled Rego Park as the premiere pizzeria for over twenty years!
Pros: Inexpensive, Easy to get to, Rarely crowded
