Honestly do not waste your time here unless you love stress in your life.

My wedding day is March 9th 2012 however to play it on the safe side, we told them March 1st is the day.

We told them that we will be leaving on Feb.28th since the wedding is in Jamaica. The bridesmaid dresses were picked out & paid for on the 1st week of Oct. 2011.

Nobody from LESTAN's contacted my bridesmaids, we had to call them every 3 days to check on the dresses.

My experience is so similar to that of others who have negatively reviewed Lestan's that I can't even imagine why they are still in business. They lie nonstop, and will tell you anything to get you off the phone and off their backs. I ordered a bridesmaid dress in mid-April for a wedding I was in on July 30, 2010. I told them I would need the dress at least one week before this date as the wedding was out of town. At the time the mysterious "Eva" (who, once they have your order, you will never be able to get on the phone - apparently Eva or the manager Lucille are never working) told me that this was plenty of time. I began calling them at the end of June to check on the dress's status. I was told every week that it would be in the next week. Two weeks before the wedding, I became very concerned. They told me repeatedly the dress was on the way, and promised that last minute alterations could occur if necessary. Long story short - my dress NEVER arrived. Two days before my flight, they told me that the dress showed up to the pick up location damaged, and that they were not able to pick it up. I think this is a total lie - I think they placed the order too late and the dress didn't show up. I am also angry that they didn't give me the time to make a last minute order somewhere else. I ended up having to pay a ridiculous amount of money to get a last minute dress made ONE DAY before the wedding. I'm now pursuing a small claims case with Lestan's. They have not even refunded my $100 deposit on the dress. Please run in the opposite direction, wedding's are stressful enough without the added weight of incompentent, inconsistent, and unqualified retailers.

I am not one to write reviews or speak negatively about people, but I feel that I must. They made my wedding experience a miserable one, instead of what should have been the happiest day in my life. If I could give them negative stars I would.

Little did we expect it but the dresses did not come in until 10 days before the wedding. Being from out of town it was very diffiult for us to travel back and forth in such little time and no accomodations were provided at all. The worst part was one of the girls dresses was the wrong size ordered and then we were told "she gained weight" however the measurments were the exact same. It was nice that they offered to release the seem however we didn't expeect for them to tell us we had to pay $50.00 because of their mistake. So that is the bad experience we had. Hopefully it doesn't happen to others

I really wish I would have read these reviews before taking my bridesmaids here to get dresses... For starters.. My wedding is August 20, 2010... the beginning of May my bridesmaids and myself went to order their dresses- we were told at that time by EVA who was suppose to the be the manager that the dresses would arrive the last week in June- here is is July 27, 2010 and we have no dresses,,... When you call they make up LIES such as there is no manger available to provide status of the order etc.. I was finally able to speak with EVA on July 19th and she promised that she was speaking with the manufacturer ( who's # she refused to provide) and she will give me a call back with the tracking # and delivery date- I have never heard from her since.. my fiance and I have placed several calls requesting status on the dresses since they still need to be altered etc... THE STAFF MUST BE TRAINED TO LIE THERE WAS TONS OF INCONSISTENCIES SUCH AS EVA WASN'T IN AND SHE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO COULD ASSIST AND THEN WHEN I WOULD CALL BACK THEY WOULD SAY SHES COMING IN IN 15 MINS THEN I'D CALL AGAIN AND THEY WOULD SAY THAT SHE ISN'T COMING IN AT ALL-THEY WERE OBVIOUSLY AVOIDING MY PHONE CALLS SINCE THEY HADN'T ORDERED THE DRESS AS PROMISED- NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAVE SINCE ASKED FOR MY MONEY BACK IN WHICH THEY HAVE REFUSED AND I AM CURRENTLY PURSUING A SMALL CLAIMS LAW SUIT- ***PLEASE BEWARE,YOUR WEDDING SHOULD BE AS STRESS FREE AS POSSIBLE AND YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO WAIT LAST MINUTE TO DEAL WITH THE STRESS OF FINDING ANOTHER DRESS OR HAVING ALTERATIONS DONE AND YOU WILL HAVE THAT ISSUE IF YOU GO TO LESTAN'S... The bride-to-be wanted to look like a princess and Lestans listened. They matched the dress to the girl and her heart's desire...and the end result was perfection.

It's not easy finding just the right dress in a sea of beautiful selections, but the bride did not have to. Sure they let her play dress-up, picking out what she thought would be wonderful...then Tammy and Eva presented THE dress with a "Try this."

When the bride emerged, we signed in unison. The dress looked both vintage and modern with satin and lace and gorgeous circular champagne bands. The fitted bodice flattered the bride's waistline, the ivory was soft with her skintone, and the overall scale suited her petite frame.

Lestans knew how to complete the look too. They added the champagne tipped veil--just the right length-- and a lacey, curly shrug with a touch of sparkle.

In all the weddings I have attended, I have never heard people gush over a bride like this. She wanted to look like a princess and Lestan responded royally!

I searched high and low all over the country for a Rina De Montella dress in a size 8. None of their dealer stores had one and the lead time to order was going to be too long. I called 12 Rina dealers from accross the country to no avail and this was a $1600 dress so they were defintely motivated to find it to sell.

Desperate to make something happen, I thought if I called a high volume shop in NYC (close to fashion central) I might have a shot if I could find a Rina dealer that had a closer relationship with the factory rep.

I called Lestan's and got Eva on the line (I am from the Midwest) and she was very helpful. No, Lestan's did not have the dress in stock; however, she made the effort, called her contacts and found the dress!

THEN, I read some of the Citysearch ratings and I got the crap scared out of me WOW some of them are so negative. I called Eva back WORRIED that I had just given my credit card info to a blackhole. She sympathized, was not offended at all and immediately got me on the phone with her Rina factory representative to assure me that I had no fears.

That felt better, but I had still had doubts because of all these negative reports and the fact that all the other factory stores couldn't get me a size 8 when they called Rina HQ. Was I being had? Nonetheless, I rationalized (having dealt with the public before) that on a site like this for every very motivated bad experience poster their are easily 1000 very happy endings that do not get reported.

Short story shorter: Rina rep got the dress to Eva within two days. Eva got the dress to me within a week from my first call to her! The service was fantastic the communication was outstanding and the new dress that could not be had by anyone else across the country from LA-Chicago-PA-AZ to finally and thankfully, I called Lestan's where it was found and will be worn at my son's wedding.

Thank you very much Eva for doing the impossible and making it so easy for me. You ever need anything in my neck of the woods - please call, I owe ya one!

I was very surprised by all of the negative, unkind reviews that I read here. I have been very pleased with my experience so far at Lestan's.

I have an important affair scheduled for April 2010. Due to my busy schedule, I did not start looking for a gown until January or so. I realize now I should have started looking last year.

I should mention this is not a wedding gown. This is an evening gown.

I visited just a couple of stores in Brooklyn, and was not happy with the selection in those other stores. Many of the dresses were cut for thin, young women with near perfect figures. (not me!!) Some of the dresses were too revealing for me. I was starting to feel depressed. I thought to myself: What's wrong with me? Why does nothing fit me? Is my figure that weird? Is it possible to find a gown which does not highlight every bulge or show tremendous cleavage? I was beginning to feel frumpy and old because I was having trouble finding a flattering gown.

Then I went to Lestan's in January.

Big selection in the store. Their website suggests an even larger selection online. I browsed around. A salesgirl came over to help. I believe her name was Shanna. I wasn't sure what I wanted but gave her a general idea . . . . a certain color, the date of the party, I wanted something modest, my price range, etc. She could see my figure. I'm not a model.

Shanna showed me several things. I tried them on. She helped me get into them. Some were not flattering, some were pretty. I like the fact she did not push. If the gown was not my taste or was not flattering, she was honest and helpful. She returned with a few more to choose from, once she had a better idea of my taste of what might look attractive. She gave me her honest opinion, and was very patient, I must say. After that first visit, I had not made up my mind to buy anything, but decided to return later that day.

I came back with family for their opinion, and Shanna was patient once again, showing me several gowns, making suggestions, etc. Finally, she showed me a silk organza gown I had not noticed before, and I put it on and VOILA! A perfect choice.

To make a long story short, the dress was ready for my first fitting in about 6 weeks. I went to the store and the seamstress (Eva???) assisted me. The dress fit almost perfectly and needed a few little alternations in the upper area. I was impressed by Eva's patience with me and suggestions. She made me feel as if I were her only customer. For the few minutes I was trying on my new gown and Eva was helping me, I must say I looked and felt like a princess.

Two other customers saw me trying on my new gown and stopped to compliment me. One asked her salesgirl if she could try on the same thing.

I will be going to my second fitting soon (bringing along my shoes) and my dress should be ready in about two weeks.

In sum, I am very, very pleased with Lestan's. The gown they made for me is beautiful, and their service so far has been professional, caring and attentive. I gave them 4 stars (not 5) because they are EXPENSIVE and their store is a physically run down. However, if you can afford it and are willing to spend the money and don't care much about a fancy atmosphere, I recommend Lestan's.

If the gown was not my taste or was not flattering, she was honest and helpful. She returned with a few more to choose from, once she had a better idea of my taste of what might look attractive. She gave me her honest opinion, and was very patient, I must say. After that first visit, I had not made up my mind to buy anything, but decided to return later that day.

I came back with family for their opinion, and Shanna was patient once again, showing me several gowns, making suggestions, etc. Finally, she showed me a silk organza gown I had not noticed before, and I put it on and VOILA! A perfect choice.

To make a long story short, the dress was ready for my first fitting in about 6 weeks. I went to the store and the seamstress (Eva???) assisted me. The dress fit almost perfectly and needed a few little alternations in the upper area. I was impressed by Eva's patience with me and suggestions. She made me feel as if I were her only customer. For the few minutes I was trying on my new gown and Eva was helping me, I must say I looked and felt like a princess.

Two other customers saw me trying on my new gown and stopped to compliment me. One asked her salesgirl if she could try on the same thing.

I will be going to my second fitting soon (bringing along my shoes) and my dress should be ready in about two weeks.

In sum, I am very, very pleased with Lestan's. The gown they made for me is beautiful, and their service so far has been professional, caring and attentive. I gave them 4 stars (not 5) because they are EXPENSIVE and their store is a physically run down. However, if you can afford it and are willing to spend the money and don't care much about a fancy atmosphere, I recommend Lestan's.

I went there to buy a dress for my son's wedding, the sales women were rude and obnoxious, after settling on a dress( because they get annoyed if you look at too many), they did not have a swatch of the colors that the dress came in , they told me not to worry they could return it if I did not like the color. They actually took my money and kept it. The day I went to pick up my dress they charged me $100 for no reason. They told me that I was charged this for rush delivery and they had called me. I told them that it was untrue and that I never agreed to this. I came into the store thinking that I was going to pay the rest of the money and then to find out an extra $100 dollars. They are robbers. All because a salesperson went behind my back and wrote down ruch delivery. My dress was ordered and there was no rush delivery involved. The manager was no comfort at all. Of course not, she was $100 richer. My mom and I said that this was wrong and that they are stealers, all because one of the salespersons made this error. I had no choice but to pay the money. I was miserable. I told them that I would not refer anyone to this store ever! They asked me if I was goiing to get my dress altered, I immediately said no. So they can be extra richer? No way! I just took my dress and left. I did not even trust them to alter my dress. They probably would of messed it up so that I can be charged even more. I felt so mad and helpless that day. My mom kept comforting me and said, let them keep the $100. Let them buy Chinese Food with it. I wnated to cry so bad. They stole my money. Is this what they do? Charge you one price and then before you know it you are paying more for what you did not ask for or find out that your dress was a rush delivery when it was not, no one told you. Now I am panicked as I am realizing that the dress is not there and it is 2 weeks before the affair, and I am getting nothing but excuses from your staff.

My mother telephoned the manufacturer to inquire about the dress and she was informed that if the order was placed in May the dress would have been available at the store by now and that I should contact Lestan??s. This dress was ordered by several bridesmaids through stores located Brooklyn, Boston, and Rhode Island everyone received their dresses no one had a delivery issue: in addition 1 dress was ordered in July and she has the dress already.

I can only conclude that someone dropped the ball: the order was never placed, had you been forthcoming regarding not receiving the dress, you would have allowed me time to find another dress however: you chose to be deceptive and misleading giving me no other recourse than to purchase a gown in that specific color and have it altered to a dress to match the bridal party. The store where I purchased the gown: carries Enzoani and has never experienced a delivery issue Your store??s solution to the dilemma they placed me in: was to issue a refund of my deposit which is little constellation considering the additional expense and aggravation I have experienced because of your fraudulent business practices.

What you did was despicable; the fact that to date you continue to blame the manufacturer is deplorable.

The wedding will be marvelous we will all look wonderful and I will certainly share with all my friends, families and relatives the unscrupulous manner in which your store conducts business.

In closing I have filed a complaint with the Consumer Affairs and have forwarded a copy of this letter to the manufacturer all need to be aware of how Lestan has no regard for the consumer.

I hope my actions will serve to protect any potential clients from your deceptive business practices.

They also told us that they would keep us updated. they never called or anything. we had to track them down. And the people on the phone were rude and so unprofessional. 4 months after they say they have the dress in so we made an appointment for the fitting. they call me 2 hours before i am supposed to be in for the fitting and tell me that the dress should be in on Tuesday. I just picked up my gown today from Lestans, needless to stay, I am thrilled with the way it looks! I had a wonderful experience at this store. The staff were friendly and helpful and the store carries a large selection of unique quality dresses. The seamstress did a spectacular job on my dress and the staff assisted me with picking the perfect veil. I am a very satisfied customer, I can't wait to wear my dress for our wedding on the beach in Aruba!!!!!

I am at my witts end in working with this vendor. My wedding is in June and it is basically the end of May and I don't have my wedding dress yet. I ordered it since sept and EDT was february. Since february I have called religiously to find out when my dress would be coming in. Good thing I only ordered my junior bridesmaid dress from them and of course they blame both designers for the late delivery. I hate the fact that no one likes to take responsibility for not doing what they need to do to have things on time. They have a ton of workers and no one doing anything with sense. All they do is tell you poppycock and hope you swallow it with a smile. Rudeness is an understatement!!!! I can only hope I get my dress in time. Save yourself the headache and check the cancellation policy on any store you do business with!!!

Bashing a business, particularly a local one, doesn??t sit well with me, but my experience at Lestan Bridal in Brooklyn was so awful I am compelled to share it. I went there to try on bridesmaid dresses and was appalled by my first impression of the store. It is cramped and messy, and the dresses are jammed together and falling off their hangers. The dressing room doors didn??t close and there were little kids running around all over the place. I went downstairs, where there were not supposed to be any males allowed, to find??you guessed it??men. Oh, and more children.

Golde helped me try on two dresses, after which I said I??d had enough and I just wanted to order a dress I saw online made by one of the designers the store carried. I put down a $150 deposit for the $300 dress, and was told they would call me when it came in. This was Sunday at 4:30 p.m. The store closes at 5 p.m.

The next day, I spoke with the bride, and realized that I was supposed to order from a salon close to where she lives (in an entirely different state), so I called to cancel my order, hoping it wouldn??t be too much of a problem. I spoke with Lucille, the store manager, who claimed she didn??t know if the dress had already been ordered, which is done by fax, and told me to call back the next day when Tammy, the owner and the person responsible for ordering the dresses, would be in. I told her it was very important that I cancel the order that day, as I had already placed an order elsewhere. She also told me that if the ordered had not been sent in I could get my deposit refunded, which was also important to me. After going back and forth with her about her inability to help me that day, she asked why I was being so pushy. Um, because I have a $150 on the line!

I called the following day when she instructed me to, only to learn that the order form had been faxed to the designer on Sunday. However, the previous day ,the bride got in touch with the designer??s headquarters and found out that the company was closed on Sunday and that it had a five-day cancellation policy with a mere $35 penalty??nothing like the $150 I was on the hook for. What??s more, the company could not confirm that it had received my order. When I told Lucille this, she wanted to know who at the design house was making a ??liar out of her,? because she said she had sent in the order in Sunday.

??But you said you couldn??t check on the order yesterday because you ??didn??t deal with that,??? I said. She then claimed that it wasn??t Lucille speaking, but another manager speaking on behalf of Lucille. What? Either way, with threat of having the designer call the company to tell them that it hadn??t received the order, Lucille (or whoever it was) relented and agreed to return my deposit.

What??s the saying? A squeaky wheel gets the grease. Luckily, the refund posted on my bank account today, and I will never have to deal with Lestan again.

Then they tell you the alterations will make the dress perfect on you (even if nothing fits right). Once you pay the deposit, it all goes downhill. The next time you come in, they won't even look your way. The sales people promise you alternations that the seamstress cannot deliver. They lie just to make the sale. Even if they give you a good price, it's not worth going with this place. They will end up making empty promises. There is nothing worse than that! Once you realize that the alterations you were expecting, are not possible, they refuse to refund you your deposit. On top of everything, the people in the store are all fake, untrustworthy, unprofessional, rude and unpleasant. The store itself is filthy. You definitely don't feel like you are going to a place that will give you something of good quality at the end. I lost my deposit feeling that it's better to lose money than having them ruin my special day. Although there prices are decent and the selection is ok, STAY AWAY. The experience is not worth it. There are plenty of places where you can go, where you will not get screwed at the end. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR WEDDING, PROM or PARTY. The sales people are just plain terrible!

They have given me six different delivery dates, none of which have resulted in the dresses. Every time that I or my bridesmaids call them about the missing dresses they give us attitude and act as if something is wrong with us for being concerned. My wedding is on February 28, 2009...so, the saga continues.

I just got off of the phone with Eva who told me she didn't give a s**t after getting caught in another one of her lies. The dresses were supposed to be delivered today, and they actually were! However, when the shipment arrived, Lestan's didn't have the money to pay for them and the delivery service left. I know this because they gave me a tracking number and it said this on the delivery services' website. Eva told me she didn't have to explain anything to me as far as why they didn't have the money when she knew the dresses would be in today. I don't know why I was suprised that they didn't have it. I ended up speaking with Eva, who supposedly handles the orders, and Lucille, the manager. Eva preceded to lie about the dresses. I know she was lying b/c I had just gotten off of the phone with the bride who told me what Eva had told her. But this wasn't anything new, it had already been going on for about 6 weeks. They tried to blame the delay on the designer, but I knew it was Lestan's fault because the 6 other bridesmaids who live out of state received their dresses months ago. I have been told the dresses would be here in Nov, Dec 6, Jan 15, & Feb 6. I got the story about the dresses being in customs also, and was told the dresses weren't expensive enough to be discounted. I asked for a traking # for the shipment on Jan 15, which I didn't reieceve until the 30. I even reported them to Eye Witness News to try to expose them. The bride went for her fitting a few days ago and was so disgusted she doesn't even want to go back again. Supposedly the dresses will be in today. The wedding is 3 weeks from saturday. I know that they're a large shop and that they do a lot of business, but each customer deserves respect and someone to assist them, no matter how minimal the purchase. I'm not a fan and never suggest them to anyone.

OMG...I wish I would have read these reviews before I went to Lestan's! The customer service was absolutely horrible!!!!!!!
I was with my mom looking at MOB dresses and the there was one dress that we liked but we needed to think about it because it was very pricey. The sales lady was telling us we needed to make a decision NOW...do we like the dress or not? I told her off and told her that I've never seen sales people force customers to buy things....and asked her if she would like to pay for the dress herself. That shut her up, but she still had the nerve to give us her business card and told us to call her if we wanted the dress. I would NEVER buy anything from that store!
We went to Bridal Reflections in Carle Place that same day and bought the very dress we saw in Lestan's. The customer service there was great!

I'm a bride and bought my dress from Lestan's. Last night was my first fitting. What a nightmare. I went with my mom, maid of honor and bridesmaid. They actually booked all three of them for the same time ... along with maybe 20 other people too. I felt so bad for them having to wait for so long and then be kinda bullied around by the staff.

I went downstairs for my fitting and wasn't comforted by the fact that there was a bride there freaking out because nobody could figure out what happened to her tiara and veil. The staff didn't even seem to be too put out by it either. They just kept shuffling around and telling her it was no big deal. Here's the kicker. They ended up giving her someone else's veil and tiara!!!!! They never did find this poor bride's original purchase. I feel bad for whoever's veil and tiara they took. Needless to say when I found out my veil and tiara were there, I asked if I could take them home with me.

The fitting itself wasn't bad at all. The seamstress is a really nice lady. You can tell she knows her stuff.

Then it's time to pay the balance of my dress and here's where I finally got mad. The balance MUST be paid in cash ... cash only. I offered a debit card and was VERY rudely told it was cash only. When I stated that that was the most ridiculous thing I'd ever heard, she responded "I just work here". It's a tax scam I'm sure. Wonder how much of the cash they get they actually report to Uncle Sam. I'm going to guess maybe half since that's what they make you leave as a deposit and they don't care how you pay that. Oh, and they subtly threaten that they won't start alterations unless you leave them something in cash of course.

I will give them that they have an ENORMOUS selection of dresses. It's downright scary. Some of the sales staff is really nice but most of the 'upstairs' crew .RUDE!. "All sales are final" ... yep because if anyone ahd the chance to give them their stuff back, they would!

I'd been to several other bridal boutiques (David's Bridal included, ugh!) and at Lestan's I didnt get that corralled cattle feeling. Everyone got individual attention (Collete & Josephine are the BEST!!) and after searching everywhere they were the only store to carry the gown I wanted. They were patient and encouraging and very detailed in the explanations of costs, style, fit, accessories and alterations. My gown arrived and was altered on time and I never felt like I had to wait for anything, the service was very prompt. I was so happy that my dress was exactly what I had hoped for that I danced around the showroom during my final fitting! (It proved that I could salsa in it at my reception, which I did!) Thanks to all the ladies of Lestans, you truly made me the happiest bride on the planet for my special day!!!

Like most of the other reviews say, this is the #1 WORST bridal store in NY. Thank goodness I did not order my brides gown there! My bridesmaids were all fitted in April for a September 08 wedding. The sales girls informed me that the dresses would be in at the end of June. Well it is now 2 weeks before my big day and the bridesmaids dresses have finally arrived. That is not even the worst of it. During this entire ordeal like previous reviewers had said the ladies were rude, uncaring and showed not one ounce of compassion. Numerous people, including myself had to constantly call to find out what was going on and what the problem was. Two of my other bridesmaids are from out of town and ordered the dresses a month after my NY girls and had there dresses by the end of June! So it is the day the dresses arrive and things seemed to have gotten better. My father-in-law went to Lestans to pick up all my bridesmaids dresses because at this point nobody wanted to get there fitting there anymore. I spoke to a woman on the phone and she said it was not a problem he could pick them all up. WELL..... when he got there and tried to pay for them they told him they did not accept credit card for walk outs!!!! All of my girls work and live far from the bridal boutique, why the hell would we want to put ourselves through another nightmare for all the alterations. So p.s. he could not pick up the gowns because he needed to have cash and all the girls now have to go on their own 2 weeks before my wedding, pick up the dress and find somewhere else to get alterations!!! As a bride I am very thankful I did not get my own dress there, if you want a pleasant experience try RK Bridal in NYC they know how to treat people the RIGHT WAY!!!! I only wish I would have looked at the reviews before I went there. But at least I can hopefully help others before they have a heartattack 2 weeks before their wedding!!!!

Like most of the other reviews say, this is the #1 WORST bridal store in NY. Thank goodness I did not order my brides gown there! My bridesmaids were all fitted in April for a September 08 wedding. i wanted to write a review about my experience in lestans. It was the second bridal shop i went to, the first was davids bridal which was a horrible experience so i was very wary. Anyway my sales person was collete, she was very patient very professional . She helped with trying on the gowns and when i finally picked a gown she let me now how much the alterations would be if they were even necessary. She also told me my measurements and gave me a detailed invoice. It was a very nice experience. The only problem that bothered me was that you could not touch the gowns which seemed really absurd and you couldn't take pictures so if you decide to go there please bring someone with you.

My Wedding is August 23,2008. Lestans was the only place that I went to get all my dresses. I have over 21 dresses that I ordered from them. The salesassociates were really great with their ideas, help and even extending themselves to get me samples of the dresses that I wanted that they did not have in the store. They even went the extra step and got me a sample of my wedding gown, I am a big girl and usually big girls don't get samples in their sizes to try on but because of their consideration and foresight, they ordered the sample in my size. All my girls dresses came in and they were from Three different designers and they all got fitted with no problems. The seamstress there are so knowledgeable about how to cut a dress and not all of my girls needed alterations but the ones that did had no problems and all were very happy with there alterations. My dress also needed minor alterations and just to name one particular seamstress, who was so incredible and does remarkable work, Josephine, who I would so highly recommend. She made me feel like a princess in my dress and her ideas and suggestions were on point. She knows her business.
I have read other people remarks about Lestans and I feel like I don't know what they are talking about. My mother always told me to get respect you have to give it and in retail people tend to forget that salesassociates are people too. These ladies are so helpful and friendly and My Matrons and I end up Closing the store everytime that we are there, we have such a goodtime and are so comfortable there. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND LESTANS TO ANY BRIDE WHO HAS SENSE ABOUT HER AND UNDERSTANDS THAT IT IS NOT ONLY STRESSFUL ON OUR END BUT THEIRS. I have to say that I am disgusted with Lestan's. I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding that is on July 12th and I have to go back for my fourth aleration this Thursday. The bride made sure the bridal party ordered/deposited money for the dresses in December. The dresses arrived June 19th and they were ordered two sizes too big and too long. The brides' dress came in June 19th and was ordered in the wrong color. One of the bridesmaids' order a jacket with her dress and when she asked were the jacket was the reply was "I'm too busy to look for it now". All that was needed to be said was that the jacket didn't arrive ( the real answer should have been it wasn't ordered). And now that the jacket came in ( mind you the bridesmaid was the one that had to call to find out if the jacket ready) it's two sizes too small. What the hell was the measurements for if they're weren't going to use them. If your going to measure a person then the outfit should be true to size, not with this place. I think they ordered the dresses larger/smaller so they can charge you for alerations. It's a scam. When I went back for my 3rd fitting, all the measurements/alerations need on the 2nd fitting weren't even done. And I was in my bridesmaids dress for two hours waiting for the seamstress who was slow, just to see the mess that needed to be corrected. Nasty customer service with no regard for time of wedding. The shop was untidy, cold, dusty, dirty and smelled dated. I would never recommend this shop to ANYONE I KNOW. They show that they don't care about the customers or the items purchased on behalf of the customers. I'm not even picking up my dress, the bride will get it for me that's how disgusted I am with the shop. The dress will be trashed right after the wedding, the seaming of the dress looks like a beginner stitched the dress together. TO ALL THAT ARE CONSIDERING LESTAN'S, YOU WILL NOT GET WHAT YOU WALK THROUGH THE DOOR EXPECTING.

I asked for some type of compensation for their errors like free alterations and she refused! She wouldn't even admit that all the errors made were her fault/sales associate. I was so angry and upset that I walk out.

Be advised that once they get your deposit/monies, they will treat you like garbage if you have issues. I would never go back there for ANYTHING and I advise you NOT to go there neither!

The help at lestan was great, they could not do enough for us. My daughter and I were unsure as to what we were looking for and the staff was so helpful in guiding us in the right path. My daughter found something and I was deciding back and forth between 2 gowns. The staff was very accomadating and patient with me considering my event was in 2 months and the ordering time was very close. Once I made my decision the store lived upto everything they said they would do. My daughters dress needed minor alterations (lifting the straps). Mine as well need little alterations, just a hem, they did not order it 2 sizes 2 big like the other reviewers claim. It came in fitting like a glove. I would definitely recommend Lestan to my friends and relatives. They certainly have the biggest selection around and I have been to many stores before going to Lestans. In fact I came from Long Island to brooklyn and it was definitely worth the trip
