I called two home depo stores to discuss purchase of curtain rods and nither store were help full the receptionist/telephone operator failed to connect me to the appropriate help.

Very bad salesmanship....inefficientcy. Keep this up and The Home Depot will be a store of the past.

Visiting the neighborhood hardware stores.services are promp.

I love this Home Depot store. It's huge for one thing (like most Home Depot stores) miles away from where I live, but the trip is worth it and the savings add up. This particular Home Depot has it all. Any hardware tool or accessory you can think of, ATTENTIVE (so rare) staff that are not only helpful, but happy & knowledgeable in their respective fields/sections. See, all those equipment and great prices aren't worth a thing if you don't know a thing about hardware, paint, wood or equipment and have workers that couldn't care less about your needs.

In addition to the usual hardware stuff (tools, equipment, paint, nails, etc.) This Home Depot (like some others around the country) has a huge selection of plants, flowers and plant accessories as well as bathroom remodeling related items. There are also free classes you can take to learn the basics of home repair, plumbing, painting, wiring, etc. This is so helpful and I've met a lot of nice people there. The instructors are regular workerd & sometimes even retirees or local business people volunteering their time, that just happen to have a particular expertise in one area or another. They also give you free samples and sometimes full sized products for free because the items are used in the classes.

This location is very well lit, and is part of an entire (strip mall? I guess) of businesses including Gateway computers (hence the name of the Drive) that line the area. No subway nearby, but there are a gazillion bus routes that take you there and it's within 6 or so blocks of Kings Plaza Mall (Brooklyn's largest area mall) .

PROS: Fab Selection, Fair Prices, Huge Inventory, Well Lit, Late Hours
CONS: None

This store is clean and well organized. The employees are friendly and very helpful. They have a great paint department. They have a self checkout. There lines are sometimes long. Some items are pricey but some are also reasonable.

I love shopping at Home Depot. Although, it is a little large and sometimes hard to find service. Prices are great and you must give them credit for their business model. First company in the world to incorporate so many products under one roof. Completely filled a void for many people. Have bought from them for many years, never had a problem with them. Even used their equipment rental center. My husband was the ones that got me hooked on it.

It's a Home Depot so you can find just about anything that you want here. Although I needed a certain type of door one day, a cheap one, and they didn't have it. It would have cost me a lot to have it made. Antoher thing is the location.
