What a joke !

by Jennifer M.

We drove 2 hours to see a car today. We got there & had to wait 20 minutes just to see a salesman. Salesman told us that we had to finance the car with them as it was bank owned. We were okay with this. We attempted to take the car for a test drive, ( '06 BMW)but the car wouldn' t start. We then waited another 45 minutes for them to boost the car to find out that it wasn't going anywhere since there was no gas in it ! At that point we told them we had enough and left.

LOL!!! NO CREDIT BAD CREDIT ITS STILL YOUR PROBLEM!!!!

by Tom H.

I've been reading all of these reviews and it makes me laugh at how crazy all this is. I am a former car sales man and I can tell you first hand I've seen it all! People like the ones on this site and every other complaint site are all the same BAD OR LIGHT CREDIT and they expect us to part the red sea for them! How do you as a person that already know you have horrible credit and can't afford a high line vehicle but think that a total "stranger" (BANK) is going to lend you any money or give you the specials that they give people that have great credit. Have some common sense a dealership is a business like everything else we cannot give cars away just because, We have to make money to pay our expenses and keep buying cars for you to buy. SO PLEASE I UNDERSTAND YOU ARE PISSED ABOUT THE PRICES OF THE CAR BUT DO YOUR HOMEWORK GO TO SITES LIKE KELLY BLUE BOOK AND LOOK AT THE PRICES OF THE CARS THAT YOU ARE THINKING OF BUYING. AND PLEASE I'M BEGGING YOU, PLEASE READ THE DISCLOSURES AND ASK QUESTIONS!!!!

My Car Just Got Stolen From Planet Auto Mall

by Debbi C.

I brought my car from Planet Auto Mall at the end of Feb. 2009. So since they charged $3000 reconditioning fee on every used car, I told them I wanted my car fixed and the scratches out. I dropped my car of on 3/18/09 and called about my car on 3/20/09 and was informed my car was not there. MY CAR WAS STOLEN FROM PLANET AUTO MALL!!

DON'T BELIEVE POSITIVE REVIEWS BET THEY WRITE THEM

by Mike M.

I went to this dump about two months ago. KG Suzuki, Planet Automall, Northern ALL THE SAME. They sell not bad cars but they end up quoting 4-5K over advertised Internet price. then they try to fiance you at even a higher price and rate. I cannot believe with the the way they operate so smooth that anyone has a good experience there. LOOKS LIKE THE POSITIVE REVIEWS POSTED HERE ARE WRITTEN BY KG SUZUKI employees or it's owner KINNEY GALANI another greasy guy.

Courteous and Polite salespeople

by Michael J.

I had been in the market for over 5 months now looking for a Infiniti M35x. Every dealer I have gone to was rude or trying to rip me off. I had pretty much almost given up hope of ever being able to find a car much less a dealer that can actually give me an honest deal that is until a friend of mine bought his BMW from this dealer. I decided to give it a shot. What did I have to lose?? I checked out their website and saw that they had a M35x in the color and with the options I wanted. I gave them a call and spoke to one of the Managers, Dave. He assured me that the car was available and set up an appointment for me to come in. I told Dave that I have been looking for the exact car for months and every dealer would tell me it was in stock only to get there and the car would be sold. Dave assured me that the car was definitely in stock and that he would guarantee that if I came in to look at the car and the car was not here, he would reimburse me for the expenses I incurred to get to the dealer. Ok so I thought to myself, this sounds like a guy who stands by what he says and is willing to put his money where his mouth is, and therefore I got my wife and took a flight to NYC. The next day we were in the dealer and sure enough, the car was still available and in fact, Dave had the car prepped and ready for us to go on a test drive. My wife fell in love with the car and the salesperson Dave had assigned to us, Jermaine, was more than patient and polite. He answered all our questions and even bought us lunch. After meeting with the Finance Manager, my wife and I decided to finance the car at 8%, which is a fair Interest rate. In fact, we can pay off the car in full after 3 months if we chose to do that. All in all, our drive back home was such a pleasure except for the fact that my wife and I fought as to who was going to drive the car! So far, the car has had no problems to speak of and all of our friends think the car is gorgeous!

No problems to speak of.

by Tony R.

This dealer is the only dealer that had my car available. I researched and researched like crazy only to find a bunch of garbage. I found this dealer and checked out their website and found the exact car I was looking for. BMW 750Li's are very hard to find with the exact configuration I was looking for. This dealer had one with low mileage, clean exterior and a flawless interior. I am a retired Judge and I am very suspicious about car dealers. I arrived at this dealer expecting the worse and what I found was quite the opposite. The salespeople were polite, the price was right, and the financing was right in line to where I wanted it to be. I have so far recommended friends to this dealer and they have received the same courteous service and great deals. I have had my car for a week now and so far no problems to speak of. Robert, the Sales Manager is a class act. My salesperson, Jermaine, has already set up my appointment for my first oil change when the time comes. I appreciate the personalized service this dealer gives me and I will continue to do business with them in the future.

Fair sales and service!

by Julio A.

I bought my car from this dealership back in April of 2008. When I got it everyone was so helpful and nice. I feel I got a good deal. I bought my car with 36,000 miles although it looked as if it had zero miles! At around 41,000 miles I went back to this dealer to get my first oil change and to check on a squeak in my engine bay. Charlie, the Service Manager, advised me that the squeak was just a worn Timing Belt that needed to be replaced. I thought it would be worse and considering my car is a Mercedes, I thought it would be very expensive. Turns out that I didn't need a new belt. It just had dust on it. Charlie could have charged me a lot of money but instead they only charged me for the oil change. Charlie did advise me that I will need to change that belt in another 6000 miles or so. I really appreciate the honesty and courteous service I received from this dealer. This is the dealer to go to if you want a good fair deal as well as honest and reliable service.

My M5 is alive!

by Bill D.

I was looking and looking for a black BMW M5 with low mileage. I finally found it at this dealer. I traded my 1999 Porche Carerra 4 and they gave a me a nice high market value for the trade plus a good deal on the M5. I love this M5. It is a very clean and well maintained vehicle. No rattles, no dents, no squeaks. I recommend this dealer because it has very clean, almost new looking vehicles that are well taken care of.

These guys are a joke.

by Stylee_Coqui X.

Wasted a day off from work going to the dealership for a car.

Hope some of these keywords help when people google KG Suzuki, Auto Planet, whatever the heck they want to call themselves: scam / con artists, cheats, thieves, scammer, cons, pieces if garbage.

So back to my wasted day. People about summed it up: cars would not start, "reconditioned fee" of $2000-$3000, HAVE to finance through them. The salesman tried to quickly walk away with my card as he said, "ok, so I'll charge your card for the downpayment to show your commitment and then I'll ask the manager to see if he can give you that price". Trash. Sasha and Yenny, you should be ashamed of yourselves for setting people up with appointments. You're both trash, equal trash to the salesmen, managers, and owner.

Is there a negative star rating? I spit green bronchitis phlegm on KG Suzuki.

Low prices, nice cars!

by Tommy N.

What can I really say that others have not said? I was looking for a Audi A8 in triple black with navigation. I went to about a dozen dealers and everyone had a Audi that was all beat up and looked like it had been in a war. I found this dealer online and decided to give them a try. I live all the way in Staten Island so I called before I went down to them. A nice young lady by the name of Lauren told me that the car was still in stock. I must have asked her a dozen or more questions regarding the car and she politely and patiently answered all my questions. I set an appointment thru her and decided to take a long ride to the dealer. Being pessimistic, I went there with a "chip" on my shoulder not expecting much. What I got was the total opposite! I found the exact Audi A8 with all the options I wanted in the exact color I wanted. I brought my uncle who is a mechanic and body shop repairman. He carefully inspected the vehicle and found nothing at all wrong with anything on the vehicle. Ok so now I am thinking that the car must be priced extremely high so we decided to sit with the salesman to talk numbers and to my complete surprise the car was actually priced lower than those other beat up cars at those other dealers! I couldnt believe my ears! Within a matter of minutes I was writing a check for my deposit. Within 2 hours, I was in and out of the dealer and driving back to Staten with my new pre-owned Audi. I got a good price, a great rate, and a nice low monthly payment. I am thinking of bringing my cousin down here as well. If his deal goes the same smooth way mine did, then he will get his ride on too from this dealer! All the cars that I saw on their lot and in their showroom are super clean and none have had any body work according to my uncle who has been in the auto body biz for 20 years! I recommend going here if you want a nice clean car.

Heck of a Deal!

by Harry H.

I have been in the market for a Audi A6 Quattro for about 3 months now. I have gone to countless dealers looking for the car I wanted and finding only beat up, high mileage cars that looked as if they had seen better days. This dealer had the exact color, and option list that I wanted. I went there to discover that the car had low mileage, it looked brand new to be honest! I was amazed at how meticulous the exterior was. I brought my wife with me and she feel in love with the car more than I did. We ended up with a good price, great interest rate, and a nice buying experience. Good dealer to do business with.

Too many good things and not a lot of bad.

by Roger G.

I have to say that this dealer was top notch in my time spent with them. I called their Internet number and a nice lady by the name of Sasha answered all my questions and set me up for an appointment. Being a NYPD Detective, I don't have a lot of time to waste at a car dealership haggling over a price of a car. I also don't want to get ripped off either. I dealt with a salesman named William. He was a "stand-up" guy and gave me the straight truth about how business is done at the dealership. There was no bull. He gave me the price, the fees, and all the numbers right up front. He explained all the fees in detail and I was satisfied. I went into the finance room and the finance guy Thomas explained into further detail about my finance options. I chose to finance the car rather than use all my cash to buy a car. I got a good rate, and a payment that wont break me. The car so far has been great with no problems. They didnt have the Navigation cd on hand and Charlie in the Service Dept. promised me he would order it for me. I got it exactly in 3 days. My time was well spent at this dealer and I am recommending all my cop friends as well as family to go to this dealer.

I am confused about the negative reviews posted.

by Jimmy M.

I bought my car from this dealer about 3 months ago and I have not had a problem whatsoever. My car was bought at a good price. It had no previous accidents and had a clean Title and Carfax. I have had my car serviced by them and still no problems and honest service.

Great Experience!

by Ralph C.

I absolutely love my new car. This dealer was the only dealer in the area that had my car at the price I wanted. There was no hassle, no haggling, and no stress. The car was super clean even before I bought it. I was in and out in under 4 hours. I definitely recommend them.

No deal, worst dealership ever!

by Pakeros K.

My wife and I came to this dealership after we saw the ad they had at auto trader.com. We were going to trade in a Mercedes Benz CLK 500 2005 for an Audi A6 4.2 2005 because we need a bigger car since we were expecting a baby soon. We were sitting there for a few hours without any result... as they try to bargain in our car with KBB value of at least $18,000 for $15,000. The Audi's price tag is $18,999. Pretty soon, my wife's instinct took over (she doesn't feel right being there) and I thought she was just irritated because of her pregnancy. That same afternoon I came back with my dad because he needed to co-sign for me. We spent the whole afternoon there and after being charged on my credit card for $1000, there is still no deal... They told us to come back the very next day. They bullshitted us from the very first time we walked in into their filthy office. No follow-up, really bad service. The very next day, I was still adamant to get a car from them but my wife was very insistent that I should go to another dealer instead. Turns out that my wife's instinct for this dealership is true. She told me what she dug up about this dealership and even on denial I had to agree. I asked for the refund on the credit card that was charged (that was Friday) and they said it will be back on my account on Tuesday... today is Tuesday and I still don't see the money back in my account. If money is not back by tomorrow, I guess a lawsuit will follow.Don't waste your time on this dealership.

Consumers Beware!

by Leann M.

The dealership forced us to finance through them and told us that we have no prepayment penalty through their bank, but we had to make at least 3 payments before refinancing. They claimed that their vehicle was bank owned/repossessed vehicle which was their justification for having to finance with them. However, neither Autocheck history report or CARFAX indicates that this vehicle is bank owned/repossessed. Additionlly the dealership provided false information on their Autocheck vehicle history report. Carfax indicated that the vehicle was in a crash/collision which was not reported on their Autocheck vehicle history report provided by the dealership
We have only had the vehicle in our possession for 3 days as it has broken down on 3 occasions, one of which was on our way home after buying the car. No one answers or returns phone calls there. After reading all these complaints, I really question how any employee affiliated with KG Suzuki can be at all proud of their actions. Consumers be warned!

KG Suzuki - How not to run a business

by S A.

I am in the market for a new car and have been working in a limited time to obtain a new vehicle - in short, an ideal customer. My fianc and I had the misfortune to find KG Suzuki online, advertising seemingly incredible deals on a G35. We are located in Hartford CT and drove down to Queens to view the car. The vehicle had been badly "keyed", supposedly by a disgruntled customer, but the sales person promised full repairs in a ludicrously short time. We chose to buy a different vehicle instead, as we were uncomfortable with the condition of the G35. Even though we were shocked that a $2000 "reconditioning" fee would be added to the price, the total was still competitive.

The finance manager was unavailable during our first visit, so we had to go back a second time to discuss terms. We had checked credit ratings etc and had a pre-approved loan from our bank, but were told finance had to go through KG Suzuki. Repeated requests for finance terms over the phone were met with various delaying tactics, including being left on hold for 45 minutes, at which point I hung up. The sales person kept claiming that finance discussions could only be held in person (so it could be "taped") with the finance manager - clearly a tactic to get us in the "back room" and put some pressure on to sign up. Other diversions included unverifiable claims that many out of state customers had left KG Suzuki happy with a good deal.

When we returned for a second time, we were kept waiting for 3 hours, during which time we were requested to hand over the remainder of the down payment, prior to finding out the finance terms. During this time, various other customers were dealt with by the finance manager; we were repeatedly told 10 more minutes, which wore thin as the hours passed. When we were finally admitted to the finance manager's office, my fianc was forced to sit 8 feet away (behind me) while "negotiations" were conducted. This felt like a classic intimidation technique. The finance terms, supposedly based on my excellent credit rating (Experian, 766) were either 12.5% or 7.7% plus $4700 in fees. Laughably, the terms were hand written on a piece of paper, with a signature line drawn at the bottom. I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism in any financial transaction. Also, I had been preapproved for 5% from my bank with no hidden fees - so where the KG "offer" came from, who knows? We walked out at that point, requested our down payment back and left, infuriated. The whole atmosphere was intimidating to a woman, particularly the finance office with blacked out windows and I was very glad my fianc was with me.

This all took 10+ hours of our time in driving alone, many more hours waiting for service, along with numerous unanswered phone calls and messages. I am disgusted by my treatment at KG Suzuki and have learned a lesson if an offer seems to be too good to be true, it almost certainly is. I hope that anybody with a good credit score who reads this will take my advice and steer well clear of KG Suzuki.

I had a great experience at KG Suzuki!

by Carlos P.

I went online and saw a couple of cars that interest me and I decided to call the dealership, The receptionist I spoke to (sasha)was very helpful in giving me the information I needed about the cars that I wanted. When I went over there to see the cars I was greeted by a salesman named William which was also helpful in getting me into a car that i was happy in. Although not all the cars that I was interested in were there but I did witness 2 of the cars that i was looking at leave the lot within 1 hour that i was there. I did get the car I saw online and i did finance it for a great price b/c i did my research and I looked all over for the same car and I saw them for about 3000 more. I will recommend this dealership to anyone that is looking for a great running vehicle.

by coco c.

just as everyone here is saying.. they are the worst. heartless. money hungry people ever. they listed the car for cheap price so you can come to a showroom, once u get there the salesperson will make u wait 4 ever. and they lied about financing, add any bogus numbers, and at the end, my total purchase was more than double of a listed price. i am completely disguisted by them and as everyone here is, planning to sue them.

KG Suzuki - Worst Dealership Ever!

by michael s.

Do NOT waste your time going to this dealership. The ownership, salesman, and even the receptionists are extremely dishonest people. They practice business like con artists. They have only a fraction of the vehicles in stock compared to what they tell you and what is listed in their inventory on their website, autotrader.com, and cars.com. They list more inventory than they have, price it well below the market average just to get you to come in. I called the dealership thirty minutes before going in to see three different cars. When I called, I asked if the vehicles were available and I gave them the stock numbers of all three vehicles. The salesperson (Sasha) said that all the vehicles were in stock and available. When I went into the dealership, the salesman I dealt with said that none of those vehicles were available. When I told him that I just called thirty minutes earlier he said that all three cars had been sold and delivered. He then proceeded to try and usher me around the small car lot to try and sell me another car. I asked to speak to a manger and another salesman came over to see me and instead of trying to address my concerns he began asking me about what other cars would interest me. They never had the cars I was interested in to begin with. They list cars that don't exist on their lot at extremely low prices just to get you through the door. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS DEALERSHIP. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!

No Service, No Sale (Thank God!)

by George A.

I've been trying to hold an intelligent conversation with at least one of the salesman for the past weeks concerning there G35s. I spoke briefly with Victor and Danny. I told both of them I was prepared to buy on of there inventory vehicles (financing already taken care of). You'd think in this economy they'd be all over me, but I can't get a returned phone call. I started feeling suspicious and goggled their name and this is what I got. I'll take my money somewhere else.

BTW, Danny told me in order to get the internet price I was required to finance through their bank. Obviously, they want to stick some sucker with a high intrest rate.

Its good that I found these reviews. I was planning on visiting this dealer but now I don't. I don't know how come they have clean vehicle history both on CarFax and AutoCheck. Their advertised prices are way less than market value like some $5000-8000 less damn sure they must be faking it all

don't go, they don't have the cars they advertise or at those prices. (went hoping to see the advertised g35 coupe) Behind lot is building owned by them which has a large collection of collision vehicles...most likely what is being put later on the lot. Along with dishonest employees..save your time and money! go elsewhere

ANOTHER VICTIM!

by Patricia C.

I am writing this review in the hopes that internet savvy buyers will see it and spread the word. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!!
All the reciews here are 100% true. They will scam you one way or another. Then when you will try to talk to them, they will put you on hold forever! I was actually put on hold for 2 hours waiting to speak to a manager! I threatened to sue them but they don't care, they have their attorneys and they know that taking them to small claims court is useless. They actually told me that I will loose and just spend more money in attorney fees! Liars, scam artists. I hope enough people will learn about them and eventually put them out of business!

Cleanest, well cared cars I have ever seen!

by grimeyrod

I have been buying cars for well over 30 years. My first car was a1969 Pontiac GTO. I loved that car! Since then, I have had so many different cars that its kind of hard to remember tham all! Recently I retired, and felt that I wanted to reward myself with something nice. I decided to look for a pre-owned Mercedes CLS 500. I researched all the websites I could find, went to dealer after dealer, and made excessive phone phone calls inquiring about different cars. I felt as if my search was going nowhere until I found this dealer online. I went to their website and discovered that they had 2 CLS 500's in stock. One in white and one in black. I wanted a white one so I called to ensure that the particular car was indeed in stock before I took a long drive. Sure enough, it was still available. I made an appointment with their Internet dept. and within a couple of hours I was there test driving the car. I couldnt believe the condition of the car! It was as if no one ever drove it! Another bonus was that the car was inside the showroom, and not exposed to the weather outside on the lot. The car even smelled brand new. The salesperson gladly pulled the car out of the showroom and we were off on our test drive. The car drove great! I decided I wanted this car. After a few moments of talking price, I was in the Finance dept and within a matter of hours, I was driving my new pre-owned Mercedes Benz. My wife loves it and my grandkids think its the coolest car on the block.

Pros: So many beautiful cars to choose from!

Cons: Deciding on which of the many beautiful cars to choose from!

Best Pre-owned Cars in NY

by TonyDaTiger

I have got to say this, this car dealer has quite possibly the cleanest pre-owned vehicles I have ever seen! I was looking for a BMW 750Li. They had the exact car I wanted in the exact color and configuration I had been searching for. The car's interior was spotless and the exterior was flawless. Upon review of the test drive, I found the car to ride like it was brand new. The manager Robert, was a class act gentleman and the salesperson Jermaine was very patient and understanding to my needs as a consumer. He answered all my questions and concerns. I got an excellent Interest Rate from their banks and I was in and out in a couple of hours. Great dealer to do business with and will recommend collegues and friends when they look for their next vehicle. No hassles whatsoever.

Pros: Most beautiful pre-owned cars I have ever seen!

Cons: Busy and crowded showroom.

Liars and Thieves - NEVER buy from here

by steveyrow

First of all, yo homey? Yeah, that says it all. That's the kind of people you'll be speaking with when purchasing a vehicle from here. I'm tired of telling my story, but in short, I'm a hard-working honest college graduate who recently bought a car from here, even through all the lies and false promises. Everyday I drive my car, I wish I could turn back time and never have stepped foot in there. The sticker price said $13,000, but when all said and done, it will cost me about $26,000 for an '05 G35. I'll give them that they are good liars, but nothing else. People like this should not be able to serve the community and should be locked away in prison where they belong. I never thought I would regret buying a new car, but I do, and it is a horrible feeling knowing I'll be paying for their blatant lies for the next 5 years. They tell you lie after lie until you get suckered in thinking you're getting an unbelievable deal. They also give you a "WE OWE" slip when you make the purchase and say they will fix it afterwards. DONT believe it, they don't kniow you after you leave. I'm still waiting on a Navigation CD that they promised me that has already been mailed through Priority Mail AND UPS Overnight, and some how I still don't have it. PLEASE don't make the same mistake I did and believe their lies. This place needs to be shut down for good and the manager ROBERT needs to be in jail or homeless on the streets...

Pros: Nothing - Customer is ALWAYS wrong

Cons: Everything - Mostly the lying manager ROBERT

I had a good experience

by Tommykid

Ok the previous negative posting only shows that you can be gullable and not look at the fine print when someone ask you to sign your name on a Financial contract. Sheesh! I bought my car from this dealer and had absolutely no problems whatsoever. I got a good price, low rate and a payment I could live with. Hey, no dealer is perfect and I have been screwed once or twice to know that this dealer doesnt do that. I looked over my contract and the Finance manager answered every question and concern in detail. I must have asked him a hundred questions! I left the dealer feeling secure and confident that I got a good deal. My car is beautiful and not a problem to speak of. Trust me, this dealer is a one of the good ones.

Pros: Patient, pollite, and honest salespeople

Cons: Long Island City is far away from where I live. Traffic!!
