When I moved to New York, one of my problems was to find a good and affordable place to get a good hair cut. It took me few years( and several bad hair cuts...) until I found Crisca salon. The location is great, the staff is friendly and it made me feel confortable. I have been going to few of the hair stilists and never been dissapointed. I like all of them but my favorites are Raul, Moncy and Marina.

I was so pleased with the haircut that I recieved. The stylist was very helpful is picking a cut that was specific to my style and face-shape. I would recommend this salon to anyone, and considering it's prime location and the skill of the stylists, the prices are reasonable.

After years of bad haircuts I decided to treat myself and goto Crisca. It was around the corner from my job and from what I read online, seemed to be a great experience. With naturally curly hair, I always cringed at the thought of another awful cut.

Marina is a godsend. It's been two years and my hair has never looked better. I'm in every 6 weeks like clockwork and the place is always jamming. This is the first time my curly hair doesn't look like an out of control 'fro. Marina told me what we needed to do cutwise, how to care for it and how to deal with those stubborn gray hairs using a box color. I love the place and would recommend it to anyone who is tired of the same old bad haircut.

I have had nightmares happen to my hair. Colorists giving you breakage, fly aways, paying high end salons ridiculous money only to have to trim your hair because they damage your hair ....NEVER AGAIN. This salon has been my savior and when I was living on LI I made the mistake of going to the ritzy salon near me on Jericho to double process my hair. Never again. Mowry is the best colorist...my hair never breaks, never is damaged and looks natural all the time. The pricing is average even though they are across from St. Patricks cathedral between madison and fifth. This salon I fully trust because they have always made me feel like a movie star after I get my hair done. Moncy does excellent haircuts and staightening. And she does NOT get scissor happy...one thing that I feared from haircutters. This salon is a must go!!!

I like this little salon because it has a great location in Midtown, a clean and professional environment and friendly staff. It is also inexpensive for this area of town - $45 for a haircut and blowdry is great compared to some other places in the area. My stylist took her time making the cut exact and I appreciated that.

PROS: Price, location, environment and staff
CONS: No coloring

Mayorei did my corrective color and highlights for a fraction of what most midtown salons are charging! She is the absolute best. The blow dry was one of the best I've had too. A definite must see!

Crisca is your average hair salon with above avaerage stylists.-They do mani/ pedicures and waxings which makes it conveinient as a one stop beauty salon. BUT the real attraction is ROSA. I am a 20 something client and I can tell you she knows style and has talent whe cutting/blowdrying. Shes EXCELLENT- makes it totally worth going to crisca for your next cut.
She'll do exactly what you want her to- and if you're willing to try s/t new- you can TRUST her (hard to find!!)
