The New York Aquarium

I took my 2 year there. She love animal and she loved it -- her favorite was the sharks and walrus. I would recommend this place for people to take they young ones. It probably wont impresss older kids, but young kids will enjoy it. After you can hit the boardwalk and beach.

The aquarium needs to expand and get more marine life. It is not impressive in anyway. You can walk through it in about 1 hour. The shows are always nice but the gift shop is expensive. At least the animals all look healthy. If you're into marine life, there is a bigger and better aquarium out in Long Island, otherwise, this is the only aquarium in the city. A good place for little kids wanting to see nemos and sharks but not recommended for adults.

The New York Aquarium is located right in Coney Island. It is quite expensive to go so I've found that joining the New York Zoological Society is the best deal. The membership also includes admission to the Bronx Zoo, Queens Zoo, and Central Park Zoo. The Aquarium has a great collection of fishes, sea lions, walruses, and they put on a very good dolphin show in the summers. Highly recommended, especially in the summer combined with some time at the Coney Island amusement park.

this may not be the biggest aquarium but it is a nice one for children under 10. how ever it is not the place to go for class trips .. it is too crowded and it is easy to lost children...it is best to go as a family in the fall or spring , and take your time looking at the fish... see the the shark feeding etc. after the aquarium take the family out for a walk in the boadwalk and go to nathan's.

This place earns points for being the only aquarium in New York City, and certainly the best in the state if there are others. It has a number of nice exhibits, and plenty of fish. Overall the Bronx Zoo is a far better value, but sometimes you need an aquatic fix. Really they should allow you entrance on a zoo pass, but if wishes were fishes. It lacks anything quite as grand as the window into the bay at the Monterey Bay Aquarium or the crowd drawing stars like the deceased Keiko at the Oregon Aquarium or the Great White Shark at Monterey Bay. Wow, I've been to a lot of aquariums.

Although it's a little on the small side, the NY Aquarium is a lot of fun. They have indoor exhibits as well as outdoor in case it's raining. The touch tank is fun, because you can actually pet a starfish or horseshoe crab. The sea lion show is nice, but it used to be better, especially when they had the dolphins performing. If you join the WCS, you get free admission to the aquarium as well as other zoos, and that's a good deal.

The New York Aquarium, located in Coney Island, is small but the exhibits are well done. It is not nearly as nice as the aquarium in Baltmore but it is worth a visit.

The New York Aquarium is a great place to take your children. I have taken my daughter to the Aquarium many times and she loves it. She enjoys the live shoes and the feeding participation. She has also been there on school trips. The only thing we didnt like was that the snack place was too expensive. So, we had lunch somewhere else.

Here's a first class aquarium just thirty minutes from where I live on Long Islands south shore.

They have a full selection of displays and large fish and also mammals. Be sure to check the schedual of the day. Many programs and demostrations are offered that are fun and entertaining shows too.

This place is easy to find and a good value for the money. It's also perfect for all ages.
