I have not purchased furniture here but I go here for just about everything else. They have the same products that are stocked in retail stores but they charge less for them. For those that are not familiar with big lots they often get food in stock that is just in a different package than what is currently being produced or a product that is still fine but did not sell at the retail stores. They basically get overruns and outdated packaging, but the products inside are the same. With food prices skyrocketing you would have to be stupid not to shop here for the 1$ snacks and sometimes 1$ boxes of cereal, 3$ DVDs and all the other numerous bargains I have found over the years. The only bad thing I have to say is their holiday junk is overpriced, but we avoid those useless things anyways. They have an AWESOME selection of basic electronics and computer needs so you can pick up the essentials for even cheaper than the prices at Wal mart. No more overpaying for electronics at stores like Office Max. I have shopped at this store and the one in Niagara Falls, both are great and I have picked up some real bargains here. Cashiers are also really friendly especially at the store in NF and seem to enjoy a good bargain just as much as the customers do! I am extremely cheap and thrifty when it comes to shopping and this is really the only store in the area that is on my level when it comes to prices.

I recently went there to look at some furniture. They have the same stuff as we saw in showrooms, but at a much better price. We wanted to put a few items on layaway ( which we were suprissed that they even offered) but the guy helping us wasnt sure how to do it. He called for someone else over the PA system... waited about 10 minutes... called out over the PA system again... waitied another 5 or so minutes then called someone on his phone and FINALLY the girl came to help him. I ended up buying a few other items that day since they have such great prices, but the line was long because they only had one register open. This big lots has A LOT more stuff in comparison to the one in Buffalo.

PROS: Great prices and selection.
CONS: Very slow help
