Went for my first visit to this establishment last night. Very clean and bright. Greeted as we walked in and took us immediately. Pedi was great. Relaxing and felt wonderful. Mani was good but would have preferred a bit more hand massage but it was ok. Had french mani and white tips were hand painted. They are even but thicker on one hand than the other. Also there was a LOT of chatter amongst store owner and workers in their native language while working on my hands. So it felt she was yelling in my face so the gal across the room could hear. My daughter had a different manicurist and during her mani the gal was texting and talking on her phone. Very unprofessional. Had I know ahead of time I would not have left a tip for this one. I would definitely go back as it's one f the cleanest places I've see and with it being in the Fashion Outlet Mall, they do get a lot of business.

Dear Ms Tam C.:
I am sorry you misread or misinterpreted my review of Lovely Nails. The nail tech/pedicurist did NOT tell me she/he did not receive a tip; I witnessed it myself. As I previously stated in my post, I am a regular customer there. The technicians there, all of them, are like friends to me now, after patronizing their business for almost 5 years now. Again, I will reiterate that the staff at Lovely Nails are accommodating and patient, even with customers who deserve much less for their attitude and behavior. Wouldn't we all fare much better if we would COMPLIMENT and PRAISE those in the service industries, rather than pick them apart for their minor faults? And, dear, I am NOT an employee of Lovely Nails...LOL! I wouldn't be able to afford my twice monthly appointments if I were, as some heavily critical trauma drama customers are non-tippers.

To the individual who wrote last:

I am planning a trip to Niagara Falls this weekend and wanted to get my nails done. However, I don't think I will go, because I suspect that either you work there or, if you are a regular, then they have poor customer service. I have been in the service industry for ten years, and I would NEVER let someone know I did not receive a tip! It is inappropriate, and so based on this comment alone, I will not go. Just imagine what they say about other customers after they leave! This nail place seems to me to be unprofessional!

I am sad the previous reviewer had a less than perfect experience at Lovely Nails. I have been a regular customer, having my pink and white nails done every 3 weeks, eyebrow waxing, and pedicures for the past 4 years. I have brought my daughter and granddaughter for these services as well. We have never had a bad experience, and consider it a pleasure to have such a friendly and professional staff to serve us with a smile each time. In the interest of full disclosure, I am not African American. I imagine that it is very painful to be a victim of discrimination. However, in the years I have been a customer there, I have witnessed many races, cultures and nationalities as customers. Not once have I observed any difference in the way each customer is treated. Had I observed, or suspected, acts of racism, I would NOT be a regular customer. I would not ever accept that behavior at a place that I spend some of my discretionary income. To readers of these reviews, please know that the staff at Lovely Nails are the hardest working people I have ever seen. They are tireless and caring; pleasant and patient, even when customers are demanding and frugal. Recently, a woman asked for a polish change only, then changes her mind, asked for a pedicure and then asked to be moved to a different station, which was inconvenient to the pedicurist. She was graciously accommodated, and she left no tip. The long hours, the hectic nature of the business, and demanding clients would tax any worker. I would NEVER survive such a work environment for very long. But Amy, Dan, Kim, Bill and other staff do it every day for 12 hours a day, with a smile and a patient nature. They might not be perfect, but who is? I will continue to be a loyal, regular patron at Lovely Nails, and it is my pleasure to do so.

Complaint about LOVELY NAILS: 1. treated me indifferently compared to my European counterparts. Namely, ignored me as if I were not there despite the fact that I had my name signed on the clipboard. 2. Greeted and assisted Caucasian customers that came after me, while still refusing to acknowledge that I was sitting waiting my turn. 3. Diminished the kind of service that I wanted as secondary and not worthy of my place in line (for example I wanted to get my eye brows arched, and so they kept skipping over me whenever a person with a more expensive service came in the door, like pedicure)3. Practically compelled me to purchase a manicure with white tips bundled with getting my eye brows arched or she would take the other lady with the pedicure. 4. Rushed through my manicure, dipped my fingers in ice cold soapy water. 5. Half-way painted four of my nails, and protested when I asked her to polish my nails completely. 6. Hand painted on my white tips, which were crooked. 7. Rushed through the top coat, which made the polish smear the white tips. 8. Called a random co-worker over to arch my brows without letting my nails dry, so that she could work on another customer??s pedicure. 9. The random co-worker with blond high lights gave me two uneven eye brows the left was barely arched, and the right brow was shaped like a pencil thin boomer rang. I was the only Black person in the shop, and it was clear by the way they greeted my Caucasian counter parts and ignored me that my business was not wanted. Which exemplified by the way the lady adjacent to me said "They didn't even dry your nails what a shame."
