I have been taking my dog there for a couple years now and the staff has always done a great job taking my older diabetic dog. I was so grateful when I received a phone call that she was having a seizure and had to be rushed to the vet. Because of their quick response my dog is with me today! Thank you guys so much for your excellent care!

I recently brought my two, very healthy, dogs to Eagle Ridge Kennels...I only brought one home. My beautiful Emily died at Eagle Ridge Kennels and only Eagle Ridge knows what they have done and if they are negligent, i.e. feeding my dogs and having them immediately go out an play even though the breed is susceptible to Bloat...I don't know to be honest...but I think people should know that a healthy 6 year old dog died in their care...We have had our dogs boarded their before and there have been incidents in the past like excessive weight loss, which we attributed to excessive play and a skin tear that we attributed to an accident...just an accident that could happen anywhere. In hindsight, I brought my dogs to a place that mistreated them and that just destroys me inside...it destroys me that I take some of the blame for my best friends death. You make the decision on whether you want to take the chance of boarding your loved ones at Eagle Ridge Kennels for yourself...I am devastated that I took my dog to this kennel and it is something I will have to live with for the rest of my life; it is my opinion that Eagle Ridge Kennels gave my dogs poor care every time I left them in their care.

Upon touring Eagle Ridge very recently, one thing is for sure...we will NEVER be boarding our dogs here.

The tour guide first brought us past the lobby, which had an overwhelming smell of wet dog (ventilation?!). We were brought through a very narrow hallway in to the "quiet area", where quieter dogs were kenneled. This small room was equipped with only cock-eyed chainlink fencing between small areas that housed dogs huddled on conrete floors. These dogs looked scared and depressed. The walls were conrete blocks and there was not one single comforting item in that tiny room. We were brought to the outdoor "quiet play area" that had small areas again separated by chainlink fencing (visual stimulation...dogs fighting between the chainlink?? Hello!). It was 90% MUD and 10% rocks. They allow pups to sit and lay on mud/dirt for hours....only separated by chainlink. Disgusting.

We were then brought to the "loud area" of the more rowdier dogs. A long narrow hallway of kennels on both sides separated by chainlink fencing. A big fan was being used to push air around....ventilation?? The dogs here looked the same,....depressed, scared and laying on conrete floors. No beds, nothing. It looked like a broken-down jail.

The upstairs indoor play area was a run-down dance studio, with mirrored walls and a floor....that was IT. No toys or fun things in sight. Terrible.

Outdoor play area for the louder dogs was again, MUD and rocks...mixed with 2 foot tall grass. Fleas and ticks anyone?? How embarrassing Eagle Ridge.....really?

All in all, dogs looked like they were being jailed....place looked like a run-down shelter....making the Buffalo Animal Shelter look like luxury. Ever wonder why Eagle Ridge does NOT show pictures of the indoor kennels, outdoor kennels and play areas on their website?? I'd be embarrassed too to even show that to anyone.

Eagle Ridge, you should be ashamed of the DUMP you call a kennel. My husband and I were thoroughly disgusted with your facility....so much so that it brought me to tears in the car after we left your kennel. I felt terrible for the dogs that were being subjected to your facility and what is has to offer (or lack thereof).

Lastly, this place will take up to 100 dogs....don't you think that's TOO MUCH?? Talk about STRESS on animals.

Old owners, I guess this place used to be phenomenal,.....new owners.....negligent and obviously very cruel.

TOUR THIS KENNEL before you board your pups. You won't regret it. It will save your pups from stress, ignorance and lonliness.

i used to work here too. they charge a lot for boarding and daycare yet it is nothing more than any other place. dogs sit in cement kennels and then are put on a leash and walked outside to a gravel chain link kennel. once all dogs are outside, they are brought back in. that is your dogs entire stay here. the noise level is unbelievable, i feel horrible for scared, sensitive dogs. there is no interaction. daycare is the same thing, they are kept in kennels by themselves and then for 5 minutes they get to go outside or into an upstairs room with one or 2 other dogs. the second one barks or plays too r'ough' they are lead back to their kennels. this place is a total rip off. rich OP people think it is top notch but it is not. it only appears to be that way. i saw dogs spinning in circles and literally bouncing off walls, these were daycare dogs who were supposed to be exercising and socializing but instead are kept in kennels. i don't know why people don't put 2 and 2 together-a daycare dog should go home tired, not neurotic and full of energy.

My husband and I went out of town for a week and needed to board our 2 dogs...after reading the reviews on this site I felt like Eagle Ridge would be a good choice. When we left our dogs there they were both healthy...our female lab, Stowe had also just had her ears cleaned a few days before. Well almost as soon as we got home we noticed Stowe pawing at her ear, she was clearly in pain, and that both Stowe and our other dog Greer had colds. We took Stowe to the vet to be told that she had a raging ear infection, which clearly didn't happen over the course of a few hours, so someone at Eagle Ridge should have noticed something over the course of the week she was with them. I'm upset that our dogs got sick in their care, but more than that, I am upset that no one noticed it. I find it a little hard to believe that the very first symptom she exhibited was immediately after we picked her up. I called to talk to them about it, and they had no note of anything relating to her ear. The person with whom I spoke on the phone claimed that dogs "often act stoic there and won't show they are in pain" which I find utterly ridiculous as Stowe has had major surgery in the past and is not "stoic" at all. She basically acted like it was no big deal that I dropped off two healthy dogs, spent $400 for them to be boarded for a week, and came home to have to spend another $100 the next day at the vet. She expressed no concern for my dog and was only interested in making it clear that they did nothing wrong- which I wholeheartedly disagree with. They may have done "nothing", but that is exactly my point. I am incredibly disappointed with my experience with Eagle Ridge and my dogs will most certainly not be returning there.

Pros: location

Cons: my dogs arrived healthy and left sick

I took my dog for two obedience classes here and it was well worth the effort driving all the way to Orchard Park. I have also used the dog kennel here. It was clean and the staff seemed very attentive and friendly.

I've taken my dogs to other boarding kennels and have never seen another place like Eagle Ridge! The facility is very well kept, the grounds are tidy and the staff is always happy to give a tour of the buildings and grounds. And the staff...!!! A more loving, caring group of people you couldn't ask for, they are great! They know you and your pet's name! I can tell when I drop off my pack that they can't wait to see their friends! Valerie, Jen, Mary, Kate, Erika, Michelle: these girls love dogs and always make sure mine are given love, affection, care and attention that I would give them myself. And Tammy, the best groomer you could ask for! My dogs leave looking like a million dollars (not freaked out and butchered like other places.) Hands down, the best place for dogs! I recommend them to anyone and everyone who loves their pets and wants them to have the very best care available. Thank you Eagle Ridge!!!

Cons: None, what-so-ever.

My Princess has been going there for Daycare, Grooming, and the occasional Boarding. She walks in the front door thinking that she owns the place, but all she wants to do is give all of her Aunties lots of kisses, and to sit with her elderly friends. Now princess can be grumpy with a lot of dogs, and very picky, but when she sees her girlfriends, Tika, Zelda, Patch, and of course her boyfriend Rocco, she is as happy as can be. The staff at Eagle Ridge Kennels cares more about the animals there than anything else in the world, the TLC time is wonderful, and the Cat room is so peaceful, but most of all the care of the pets is above and beyond! Thank you Eagle Ridge for the last two years of making my Princess and My life so pleasent and remarkable, the memories will never be forgotten, and neither will you! You guys really know what your doing and I am Proud to say I would take my Princess there anytime!

I highly recommend Eagle Ridge for Day Care, Boarding and Training. My vet said they are the Cadillac of Kennels and was she right. Stoli loves going and I have peace of mind that my baby is well taken care of. He has been going since he was 12 weeks old and has helped him be better socialized with people and his four legged friends. As soon as he started we noticed a difference in his behavior.

A huge thanks to Valerie for the great puppy class. We know our stubborn bully was not going to be easy to train, but you made it fun for us and Stoli.

I tell everyone I meet to take their dogs to Eagle Ridge. You will not be disappointed.

We had our dog Maya boarded for 6 days. The staff was wonderful to her & us. They called us a day after she was picked up to see if we had any questions or concerns regarding Maya's stay there. We thought this was such a caring thought. After talking to them, they did know Maya from the comments made and we appreciated it. We will not hesitate to use these wonderful people again...and would recommend them to everyone!!!!

We have used their boarding and grooming services on several occasions and have been very pleased. Our dogs are always very excited to go to 'camp' and come home looking terrific. It's been our experience that the staff is very caring and professional. They have also been very accomodating to our reservation needs.

I dont know what has happened to the kennel since Caroline has left. Sally is running this, at one time awesome business, right into the ground. I refuse to ever do business with her again. I had been a customer and owner of one of her breed dogs for 7 1/2 years. To be so unprofessional about business is an understatment. I feel bad for the dogs in her care. If you treat the dogs anything like you treat your customers then who knows. Your lose!!!!!!!!!!!
