I love Yamuna Studio for its unpretentious and brilliant staff and for its revolutionary program. I've had back problems for years, but after just 2 months of body rolling classes, I am 95% pain free! For those people who are confused, when they say "sink" they mean "press." If you press your body into the ball, you massage one side of your body while strengthening the other. It is great. My stomach is more toned now than after doing millions of crunches at the gym. If you need more convincing, just look at Yamuna, the creator of body rolling. She looks 30 years younger than she is, just from body rolling!

Body Rolling is fabulous! It's like a deep tissue massage while stretching. After one class my back was alinged like i'd been to a chiropractor, and the tenseness in my shoulders was gone. I was really sore in a good work out way the next day and felt more opened and relaxed. Though very similar, the yoga classes are different from the body rolling classes in that they use yoga poses (more pretzle like positions, than streight line rolling).

Body Rolling is fabulous! It's like a deep tissue massage while stretching. After one class my back was alinged like i'd been to a chiropractor, and the tenseness in my shoulders was gone. I was really sore in a good work out way the next day and felt more opened and relaxed. Pros: no membership, beautiful building, good smells

Cons: no early mornings, hard to find

Totally inconsistent. While one class is challenging, another is boring and slow. One class starts on time and another starts early. One thing is the same though, and thats the class. No matter if you go to YBR, YBR Yoga or YBR Pilates its all the same class!! Hopefully theyll figure it out, but right now, Id say theyre a little confused.

The one session I went to I hardly broke a sweat. The instructor spent more time talking AT us rather than actually actively leading the class at a normal pace. they spent 30 minutes on one side and 15 minutes on the other. The main theme in the class was to sink. Its repeated in class about 4,000 times, yet they never tell you what the heck sinking means. I just dont get it or how they expect any one to want to come back.
