Both of my daughters have attended Camp Ma-He-Tu and both have enjoyed it tremendously. There are great programs on the lakefront which is well cared for. Both of them have become strong swimmers as well as learning diving and water safety.

Being an all-girls camp, Ma-He-Tu provides a great atmosphere for girls to bond with each other, learn from each other, and discuss many issues in an atmosphere conducive to their life. There are many activities including arts and crafts and sports in addition to the waterfront activities. The weeks my daughters go are the weeks of the annual canoe Regatta against other camps around the lake.

The counselors are all caring and nice. My youngest had home-sickness and was managed through it. Both of them loved their counselors and spending time with them. The younger girls stay in cabins and as they get older and go further up the hill, they stay in canvas tents which can be completely opened up so the air blows through. My oldest loved staying in a tent the last two years.

The dining hall is below the tents and the cabins, but up the hill from the waterfront. This provides not just the eating area, but also a canteen for the girls to purchase sweets from if they choose.

Overall, its a very positive experience and my daughters start planning for their next stay on the drive home. They cant wait to go back!
