Over 50% of my family are vegetarian, we always come here for their basil fried rice with seitan tofu, they are really tasty! They have great green curry too for those who can handle the spicy food. For us, their service is ok. Overall, i think they offer food in good value.

I'm tired of continued **BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE**...
*waited 1 HOUR for dumplings & spring rolls. ?!?
*they arrived BONE COLD & soggy.
*said they would 'redeliver' - waited 40 min.
*Called and they said the delivery boy wouldn't redeliver. ??!! (what?? aren't THEY the boss...and have hired HIM??)
*told them I wanted a refund -- owner HUNG UP on me.
---------
BAD SERVICE!! be careful of this restaurant...they do not value "customer first"...

This is a basic Thai restaurant. Nothing has been outstanding, but the rice dishes (hence the name) are actually pretty good.

This a good Thai restaurant. Nothing out of the ordinary here, but a nice solid place, whether you eat in or take out. Good, solid Thai food.

This is a great reliable restaurant to have lunch in. The prices are great, and you get a lot of food. The vegetarian options are also numerous and yummy. I loved the squid dishes! The food may be a little spicy for some, but overall it's a great place.

Rice Thai Kitchen has been around for a while and it's as popular as ever. Most dishes are very good, consistently, especially the curries and chef specials. Their prices are fair and lunch is downright cheap for what you get. Their whole fish dishes tend to have more sauce and batter than fish and the duck can be dry sometimes, but the Thai staples are always fine. Delivery is lightening-speed, especially for such a busy restaurant.

I love thai food and have been to many thai restaurants in both Manhattan and Brooklyn.

I went to Rice Thai Kitchen twice and both experiences were absolutely horrible.

The waiter we had the first time basically did not speak any english.

He brought me the wrong dish and tried to convince me that I had ordered it, by getting all worked up and pointing at his note pad!!

After much embarrising trouble, he agreed to bring me the dish that I had ordered, but by recycling the ingridients of the previous dish!!

We went a second time just to see if we might just have had bad luck the first time.

The second time, when my dish arrived it did not look ANYTHING like on the picture, had other ingridients and was just unacceptable. The waiter got hostile right away and told us we have to pay for it!

After much conversation, he still refused to accomodate us. He went back and forth to his manager who refused to take responsibility for their mistake.
We had to pay for their mistake.
All I was interested in was the principal, but to no avail.

Basically, this place has unexperienced waiters with lack of speaking/understanding english.

Management is extremely cheap and refuses to please customers.

I will NEVER go back!!

Another one of my favorite Thai places, this one is our favorite hangout after going with kids to Puppetworks in Park Slope. We actually did go there with a big group, and were seated promptly and served fast. The food was very good, all my friends were complimenting me on the choice

I fell in love with Rice Thai after someone recommended it to me. I don't live in Park Slope anymore but I try to go there anytime I can. Good service, great food - what more can you ask for. I always order the curry snapper and a side of the seafood rice (to take home). The dumplings are great starter appetizers and the fried icecream and banana is scrumptious!

I've eaten at and order from this restaurant. The service is slow and the waiters are not friendly. In addition, once they delivered the wrong meal to my home which I didn't send back. On a second occassion they delivery bad quality food and instead of replacing it, they offered a credit which they never honored. I will not order from them again because they have no regard for their customers.

consistently good food. we order from them all the time and are never disappointed. the pad thai is great, and so are the chicken dishes. delivery takes a while. definitely a good, solid place for a casual night out or order-in.

if you like your thai food fused with mediteranian, french, or even american, steer clear of this park slope hideout.

thankfully, i like my thai fused with THAI.

Rice Thai Kitchen delivers. from the pad thai, pad see yu, to the duck dishes and of course to the ubiquitious thai tea and coffee, Rice delivers good quality, affordable and pretty darn authentic Thai food in a city known for fusing it with every other imaginable combination.

head out and see for yourself.

...because of the food. The decor was respectable. Their prices were commendable. Our first disappointment came when we were informed, at 8:30 pm, that it was too late to be served soup. Then we found out, at no fault of the restaurant's, that they only serve beer and wine. Out of fried ice cream. Credit card machine broken. SLOW service. Then, the trip to the bathroom made me feel like I was at a gas station. (A clean one, though). But, the food was so amazing, nuanced flavors layering on top of one another. We will DEFINITELY be going back.

Pros: food!, cool carved walls, food!

Cons: , no soup after 8, slow service

Consistently one of the most delightful restaurants in the Slope. Great food, complex flavors, delightful atmosphere and really good prices. Waitstaff is always pleasant. Hey, if they're sometimes crowded, it's because the secret is out! Try them for lunch, if you can..now that's a tasty bargain. Can't beat the chicken with spices. Yum.

Definitely the best Thai restaurant in Park Slope. Food is very good and quite affordable. Service is impeccable. I once went to the restaurant, only to discover it was closed, but the owners were eating with their family. They invited me to join them for lunch - no charge. Can't ask for more hospitality than that!

My friends and I LOVE this place!!! The food is consistently amazing, and ALWAYS served quickly. The service is very good in the restaurant, and for the most part good for delivery (although they do expect a generous tip). And the food is so cheap for the taste!!! Whenever I can't decide what to eat...Rice Thai Kitchen it is!!!

Pleasant decor, great carvings, but WAY too crowded, and the food is not what it could be. There are a few toehr Thai places int he local 'hood, and I'll be going to those instead fo coming here again. I gave this place a few tries, but won't be heading back.
