Swann Auction Galleries

Swann Galleries has a less frenzied atmosphere than the big boys uptown. They usually hold a themed auction once a month on items like advetising posters, maps and atlases. Many items to be had at under $500 and many auctions have a handful of items that sell for under $100. Much of the items they sell are beautiful they just aren't highly collected. Check there website and definitely take in one of there upcoming auctions it's a lot of fun.
