The food was great. Service was excellent. Best burger and fries I ever had, must be homemade. The NACHOS were excellent they had meat and cheese on them, Real chili with meat. The wings are a big hit you can order them 5 different ways. On football days they are only 25 cents each. Everything on the menu is great. Been going there for 10 yrs. The best bang for the buck! A must try.

Disappointing. Quality of food has noticably slipped which would also explain an patronless lunch hour. Nachos - super greasy and tastless, smothered in a weird cheese sauce then covered with some kind of meat that may or may not have been Manwhich sauce. Salsa and sour cream were served in little plastic containers with a lid (one was a peel off lid). Wings were overcooked, and too crispy, veggies were minute. Sweet potato fries were super soggy and poorly seasoned. The waitresses are still super nice but it just is not enough for me to go back anytime soon. What happened!?

A pub should be able to serve a good steak and good fries. Edison's wasn't able to manage either.

The shell steak was tasteless, and the fries limp.

This place has been around long enough to get this right. No excuse for messing up the basics.

If you have to eat here, go for the ribs. Avoid everything else. Set your expectations low. They will be met.

Pros: pleasant service

Cons: the "cuisine"

This is a nice neighborhood restaurant. It is a bar (thus the name Ale House) with bar cuisine as well as daily specials that are just fantastic.

This place is kid friendly and has numerous TVs so you can watch the big (or little) game. Try the muscles in white wine and garlic broth. It is a favorite. So are the steak tidbits.

The burgers are no longer great which is a loss as they used to be wonderful. Now they seem like ready made patties. So stay away from the burgers and get any of the other great dishes.
