I have been to Catskill Game Farm as a small child. I have taken my now grown daughters who still talk how great the place was when they went. It was more like a home environment for the children and adults. I am so sad that I was not able to take my 3 year old grandson, who I deeply think he would have enjoyed this experience, especially feeding the babies their bottles. I am sadly sorry to hear this place has closed. I often wonder what happened to this beautiful land with all the wonderful animals that had homes there. I would love to see this place operate again. It was a wonderful experience for the children and adults.

This is a great place to visit if you don't want to travel a long distance out of the area. It is a terrific place for young children as there are many opportunities to interact with animals. You can feed various animals such as llamas and pigs. It is not comparable with larger zoos but it still offers wholesome fun for the entire family at a reasonable price.

We have taken my daughter to quite a few zoos and animal retreats in the past few years. The Catskill Game Farm is great because you get a chance to see many animals (the giraffe) up close and personal. At many zoos the animals are completely caged up or set back a few hundred feet so you can't see what they're really like. It hasn't changed much from when I was a child but I think that's a good thing.

I use to look forward to my annual trips to the Game Farm w/ my family. Now that I have children of my own, I couldn't wait to take them to the CGF.

I was so disappointed to see that there were no more tigers and other animals that use to call the Game Farm home. The ground hogs have been replaced by rabbits & the animal show has become a "save the Earth" show instead of a fun show. The rides are the same ones I went on and the ones that broke were never replaced with new ones.

And the price...WOW! It seems that the price has gone up while the experience has decreased.

It seems everyone has memories of going to this place as a child. The thing everyone remembers most is the feeding area where you can go into a big opened area and feed the animals like baby deer and goats. It is something the kids all remember.

The rest of the park has some wonderful animals too, but it is a small park and quite old.

My biggest complaint about this place is the price. I have been to much bigger and nicer zoos and paid less than half the cost of the admission to CGF. But, it is the only one around here.
