I took my wine soaked evening dress to Alpians after a
evening out, praying that they could do something
miraculous to save the gown. They said no problem. A
week later they called and said to come down and to pick up my gown. I was scared to asked them how the gown came out. When I went down to Alpians the next day, to my surprise the the gown was perfect. No stains, nothing
even resembling a stain. At Alpians they they do create miracles. Thank you-thank you-thank you!!!!!!!

I have been in textile and fashion business for over 30 years. From time to time we needed to dry clean curtains have them pressed and even delivered back.

I will not go anywhere else other then ALPIAN's place. After all we are from the same school Hintliyan:)) why go to any odar............

I have been a customer for over a year and everything was okay. Last week when I picked up my cleaning I
realized that I was missing a pair of slacks. I returned to Alpians , we checked the ticket there was no pants on it. The owner did not argue and said he would check. To my surprise I received a phone call the next night from the owner that they located the pants. I had dropped it on the street(because I did Not use my pick-up bag) and they had gone around the street asking the merchants if anybody had found a pair of slacks on their own. (although they were not legally responsible)
Unlike my old cleaners they did not say-not my problem and saved the day for me-But now they have a customer for a life-time. Thanks Alpians

I have been to numerous drycleaners throughout NYC and none compare to Alpian's garment care! Everything i bring in there comes back sparkling clean and in pristine condition!!!! The staff takes excellent care in all items and is always willing to go the extra mile! I wont go anywhere else now that i have found them!!!! Great place - highly recomend!

I work for a designer clothing company and the only place I allow to clean my clothes is Alpian's garment care. They do a fantastic job of making sure everything is returned in the best possible condition and are efficient and attentive to all of my needs. I recently got married and they did the most amazing job of cleaning my dress both before and after the big day. Wouldn't trust my clothes to anyone else!

I've used quite a few dry cleaners over the years and none has compared to the work they do at Aplian Garment Care. Not only do my clothes come back immaculate every time, but the customer service is great. I recently spilled some Manishevitz on a white skirt and never thought I would be able to wear it again. Brought it to Alpian Garment Care and the stain is gone!

My wife and I are professionals living and working in New york city.We reside on the west side,upper sixties.We switched cleaners about six months ago and now use Alpians exclusivelyfor all our cleaning and laundry needs.Two weeks ago when I returned from a business trip to the west coast,my wife had send all my shirts and suits to Alpians to get cleaned forgetting that I have to leave town again immediately.Needless to say when I came home that evening and realizing that I could not pack my clothes for the next mornings travel I immediately called Alpians.The manager said that all their trucks were done for the day and being around six fourty five in the evening he would call me back right away.Few minutes later they called me back and said that the owner was sending my clothes with a store clerk in a taxicab.My clothes arrived half an hour later.Their quality is superb but service ,cannot get better than this.Thanks Alpians.

We are all looking for a good deal and quality service. It rarely exists anymore. I have been to so many cleaners in the past few years looking for the one I could be satisfied with, well I have finally found it. A friend recommended them to me and I tried them for the first time several months ago. I don't think I will be going anywhere else. My clothes came back pristine. I was greeted by the owner who was friendly and knowledgable. I had a bridesmaid gown altered last week it came back perfect. Compared to the other cleaners I think their prices are very fair and more important they actually clean the clothes. Sometimes I would pick my clothes up from my old cleaner and feel like they didn't even clean it , the same stains were there, only it was pressed. These people stand behind their work. I am so happy I changed cleaners.

I always have to have my pants taken up and they do a great job. I made my roommate go and he had his suit tailored. They did a great job. I also take everything there to get dry cleaned because nothing ever shrinks and they are great with stains.

I have frequented many dry cleaners in both New York and New Jersey and none of them have compared to the quality of service I get at Aplian's Garment Care. After numerous bad experiences (designer one of a kind clothes lost or ruined without anyone wanting to take any responsibility) from some well known dry cleaners in the city I tried Alpians. Going in I had low expectations and only sent some of my husbands shirts. The cleaning was impeccable as was the service so I started sending more and more clothing. A pair of pants to a suit of my husbands were missing, we called and once we got in touch with the owner everything was taken care of. He went out of his way to solve the problem in a matter of a few days. This meant going personally to the clothier who made the suit to have the pants replaced. Not only were the pants found and delivered to us, Alpians had to pay for the replacement pants as the fabric had already been cut. Not once did anyone complain or sound annoyed but rather wanting to make sure we were pleased with the outcome and service. WE will NEVER go anywhere else and feel the little bit extra that Alpian charges is well worth the money and peace of mind. Thank you Alpian, for caring about the clothes you care for and the customers you serve!

In this mess of an economy, I am so grateful to still have my job and afford to have my clothes drycleaned, which is a luxury for a lot of people these days.. With that in mind, I searched for a new drycleaner last week that could give me excellent quality at a reasonable price, not prices that'll require me to be looking for a "government bailout".. So I read all these reviews about Alpian's and decided to take my clothes there and boy, was I happy with the outcome... Are they the cheapest? Not really... But should they be a lot more expensive for the excellent work they do? I definitely think so... I was looking to be smart about my money and Alpian's was definitely the right place to go!

I work with kids,so I get my clothes constantly soiled and dirty.I have to wear decent clothes to work so I have no choice getting paint and crayon marks on my clothes. .Chocolate stains are the biggest problem.When I send my clothes to Alpians I get my clothes back just like new with no stains,rings or residues or smells.What else can I ask for.They are the best of the best.I recommend them to everybody with five stars attached to it.Thanks.

Sorry, I was really hoping to have found a fail proof dry cleaner to replace my beloved Dunrite - but these guys aren't it. I've taken two light cream colored tops to this establishment (on different occasions), and they've both come back with spot rings...like stain remover solvent rings or something. Both were about 2" in diameter. It is totally unacceptable for a cleaner, especially one as heralded as this one, to be causing these stains (this is an indication that the specialists are not as specific in removing stains as they should know how to be), and it is completely unacceptable to return the garments to me in this way, and to charge me alot of money too! Do they think I won't see the rings? Did the specialists not see the rings?? Either way, not cool. Where is Dunrite???

I work for People's Revolution, a very prominent PR firm and I am ALWAYS going back and forth from LA to NYC and have NEVER found a cleaner I was happy with in both cities. I am a very hard to please woman so it really didn't surprise me that I found nothing that met my standards. On my red-eye flight from LA to NYC on Sunday night the stuardist spilled white wine all over my really unique (not to mention expensive) Comme Des Garcons chiffon skirt. I was horrified. When I got to New York on Monday at 6 AM my boss told me to head over to Alpian's. I don't really pack much except for a few black and grey pieces so having this stone grey skirt was mandatory. I went to Alpian's at 7:15 Am and they were open. I was not expecting that they would get it out. I picked up my skirt today and almost fell out of my Jimmy Choos. They got it all out and did it in a fast manner as I requested for an event l have tonight... I was floored! I did pay extra for the service but seriously, it was worth it. Alpian's has this woman as their loyal customer for the future.

I recently changed dry cleaners. Alpian Garment Care was recommended by a friend. I don't think I will ever leave. I was greeted by a friendly counter person who answered all my questions.. I was still not sold but decided to try them. I have never had my clothes dry cleaned like this before. They all came back cleaned to perfection, pressed to perfection and packed like nothing I have ever experienced at any other cleaners. My clothes looked almost new!!!! The owner is on the premises and is a pleasure to deal with, knows her stuff backwards and forwards. It is such a pleasure to just pick up my cleaning.I got marrried about a year ago and I had an outdoor wedding the bottom of my gown was all black from dirt and had grass stains on it . I had been reluctant to to give my gown to get cleaned thinking no one could clean that mess but decided to let them try. When I got it back ,the gown was like NEW! I highly recommend this super cleaners for their qality and outstanding service.

Avoid like the plague if you own anything of quality. I brought in 2 pair of slacks cleaning and they damaged one pair and over-steamed both pairs. Shiney andfull of impressions from the lining of the pants/pockets. Overall, less than poor quality and $9.35/pair!. They left about 8 distinct toolmarks/impressions on a twill pair , I pointed out and asked them to tell me what had ocurred. They said they would send them back to the plant and find out what happened as well as try and steam out the damaged fibers. I went back 2 days later and they had corrected the shineyness, but there were still some deep impressions on the twill pants and the fibers looked permanently damaged. The manager, a 60-ish angry woman, started-off with the typical "we didn't cause that damage" mantra that all guilty cleaners seem to have down pat. This place claims to be "high quality" yet they don't even know the difference between quality manufacturing and assembly-line, mass-produced junk. After much arguing and threats by me to tarnish the reputation of their business, she freaks-out and starts calling the police! Then she accuses me of working for a competitor cleaners, threatening her as a woman and a bunch of other paranoid nonsense. I laughed, got a refund for the poor-quality dry cleaning and took my damaged pants ($500 retail -- handmade in Italy) home. Be very wary of this place. They make claims about cleaning specialty, high-end clothing, yet do not know the difference between some made in china garbage and hand-made neopolitan craftsmanship. Please feel free to read the claims on their website--it's a farce. I seriously would have gotten better results if I had had these pants cleaned in Chinatown for $3.75/pair. At least there I wouldn't have received back damaged property and an attitude from a woman who clearly doesn't understand the first stitch about high-end clothing.

I recently took my midnight blue satin nicole miller cocktail dress to Alpian's. The dress was covered in various alcoholic beverages all spilled on me by other people. I was so depressed because I know my life's experience with dry cleaners has shown me that dry cleaners can never get out stains on really delicate fabrics. I dropped my dress off and let me tell you, during the 3 weeks I waited until the dress was ready, I prepared myself for the worst. To my utter delight, when I returned to Alpian's to pick up the dress, it was good as new. Absolutely 100% perfect! This dry cleaners is amazing and although most might shutter at the price to clean the dress [$80], it is worth every penny, considering how expensive the dress was to begin with. If you're looking for quality and care for treasured clothing items, Alpian's is truly the only place to trust with your dry cleaning!

My fiance and I , both from Rio in Brazil, were in NYC on vacation for 2 weeks. We were having dinner one night when i spilled chimichurri sauce all over my pair of very expensive dress pants which I bought in Brazil. They also were sentimental to me because I had these pants on when i met my fiance so I call them my lucky pants. To say the least, they were a mess! The Four Seasons concierge recommended Alpian's so I called them and they picked up the pants the next day...fast! So, it did take some time (about a week) which is fine because my pants came out amazing!!!! Ive never seen any cleaner be able to take out a stain completely, without any weird color change- it was a miracle from DEUS!! (God in Portuguese)....Anytime we are back in NYC I will always use Alpian's!! This boy and girl from Ipanema love Alpian's!

I prefer to wear custom made shirts and have always had issues with the cleaners i have used in the past. Upon my move to New York, I found Alpian's on City Search a few weeks ago and will never use another cleaners in the city. If they need extra time to return my shirt in perfect condition they do it-which is the mark of a true professional. You will not find a better cleaner!

Not delivered on time. Unreliable service. If you have pants and shirts for instance, they do not arrive back together. I have used them twice now, and I am VERY DISAPPOINTED. If you want your clothes back faster, you should wash them yourself. Don't believe the hype. Big deal if JZ gets his tighty whities washed here. They probably came back a week later.

Everyone thought I was crazy when I dropped $120 on dry cleaning and stain removal for this gorgeous elegant ocean green silk charmeuse gown I bought for my college graduation (mind you I've never been to Alpian's before and I've certainly never spent over $30 on dry cleaning of any kind at any dry cleaner in NYC) but I decided to go on blind faith after reading Alpian's strong and positive reviews. It's very unlike me to splurge on a dress like this, or spend $120 on dry cleaning but ALPIAN'S IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!! I was unaware that there were stains on the dress until my friends pointed them out as we were leaving the catering hall; there were stains all over the back of my dress. I was MORTIFIED when I took it off, only to find large splotches of dark stains that permeated the satin. It seemed like one huge stain that got smudged from sitting in different chairs so now it was ALL OVER the back of my dress. The consistency of the stains resembled semi- wet paint, or a type of lipid possibly grease, and whatever solvent/ harsh chemicals dry cleaners use would surely ruin the satin in the removal process. I was told that due to the delicate fabric, intensity of the solidified stains, and the unknown source of the stains, that there would be some color discoloration and that they could not guarantee successful removal without stripping the satin of its natural sheen and color. It took them 3 weeks to work on it (normally it doesn't take that long, it really depends on the damage) because I told them to take their time since I won't be wearing the dress for a while after this fiasco...and it came back in better condition than when I purchased it at Saks!!! IT WAS PERFECT!!! ALL the stains were removed WITHOUT stripping the satin of its color and sheen! You can tell they put great deal of time, effort and care into it. Alpian's is HANDS DOWN, THE BEST dry cleaners in NYC!!! The staff is friendly, courteous and professional too. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

L brought my red wine stained(soaked) shirt to Alpians thinking that it was the end of my $300 dollar custom made shirt.When I went back to pick it up yesterday ,to my suprise and amazement it was in perfect conditiom.No stains.white as can be,pressed by hand,presented magnificiently.Wow,and wow again.They are best of the best.I recommend them to everyone ,anytime.

I have been using Alpians for over a year,and what I find so exceptional is their diversity of serices besides being so good in their quality and services.They have different tiers of shirt services-regular,hand finish,hand press deluxe-different tiers of dry cleaning -regular to deluxe which makes a lot of sense if you have different sets of clothes that you want treated differently.Spot removal and pressing is superb no matter the tier,the only difference is in the packaging and the final touches and the presentation.What a difference in service than other cleaners that I used to patronize.Thanks.

All my shirts are custom made and I want them treated as such.Since iI have been taking my shirts to Alpians(little over a year now) my shirts come back looking like new.Every shirt is bright,smells nice and best of all pressed to perfection.French cuffs are folded nicely and clipped ,collars stay firm with collar plastic,tissue in sleeves-just perfect.I recommend to every dress shirt owner to try Alpians.

I have been using Alpian's for over a year now and find the quality of their work simply amazing. They have removed ink and wine stains from my clothes numerous times. The tailor Frank C. is truly a master. He made a $300 suit look as if it was hand made in Italy. The entire staff is freindly and speaks ENGLISH!! I can't imagine using another dry cleaner.

after reading all the fine reviews it has gotten on this site i decided to check it out. i had a few items to make alternations on. The woman who was doing the tailoring was surly and impatient. She acted as though i was a bother to her. Her responses to my questions were condescendingly answered. One of the items was a dress. she hee hawed the entire time she was making the alterations. I knew that it was going to take some work to shorten the hem and shoulder straps. I estimated in my head $50. She had it for $95!!! Which is insanity. It is a cost of another dress. All together my 3 items came out to $135. They wanted pre paid cash which i did not have on me. I felt stuck and said that i would return on monday with the cash. After i left i got halfway down the block and the thought of paying close to $100 for alterations on one dress seemed ridiculous and absurd I turned back around and told them that i was not going to have the dress done by them. The cashier that had rang me up went to the back to relay the message and came back to tell me that she was going to charge me $15 for the fitting. I agreed because I didnt want to deal with them anymore. I went to the atm and came back to find all my items in a bag with all the pins taken out. She had taken out all the alterations she had done. So even though i was going to pay the $15 for her service of fitting me. She was such a resentful person void of anything good. she had to turn it around and throw it back at me because I didn't have the money to burn and couldn't afford paying that much for alterations.

I brought two suits, one Corneliani and one Canali, for tailoring at Alpian's. I have lived in European cities and have had outstanding tailors, and I know tailoring and what I want. Neither suit was altered as I wanted it in the end, and required multiple visits and constant negotiations with them. Upon the last visit to at least get the trousers right, I got attitude from the proprietor who did not want to work on them further claiming they'd done all they can. Beware: here, the customer is not right--and you pay up front for this attitude. Thus, I have two suits I can't wear after blowing money with them. If you want real value and skill, and service, don't go here. Spend the time to go to Brooklyn and to Paramount Tailors. They are artists, and at less cost--and no attitude.

I was at Saks and got this great bargain on 2 Diane Von Furstenberg dresses. Unfortunately, they were both a size 4 and im a size 2. But I couldnt let go of this awesome deal. Saks could not help me with tailoring, they were backed up for 2 weeks and I was in no way ready to wait that long. After a few phone calls, they recommended me to Alpian's. So I headed over there. After an intense fitting (and them working with my particular personality..thanks for your patience!) the fitting was done. Got back the dresses in less than a week and wow was I impressed. The dresses fit me like a glove...Thanks for a great tailoring job and helping a New York woman with a particular personality!!

Well, I had had several alterations done based upon the strength of the reviews here. They were all fairly simple men's suit alterations and always went fine. I was always a little concerned at the speed with which the head tailor marked up my garment, but I could not argue with the results. Then I brought a more complicated job (one in which another tailor at a Soho boutique performed flawlessly on another suit) and they did NOT do a good job. There were pulls in odd places in my jacket and they did very amateurish things like create a seam that was sloppy and uneven, . When I asked them to fix it, they charged me an additional $35. I protested, since I was merely asking them to complete their earlier job but since they refused to refund my initial $50 outlay, I chose to pay the additional cash. I was shocked that they wouldn't stand by their work, and required more $$ when the suit literally fit me worse than before the work. Their excuse was that they needed to take in the jacket at a different seam to fix the problem with the jacket that they had created in the first go round. The second result was better but still far inferior quality to the job that the other above-mentioned tailor did. Now I am waiting on another tailor to fix Alpian's shoddy job for an additional $50. From now on I will only rely upon them for simple jobs like adjusting a waist or a hem.

Cons: They do not stand by their alterations.

Heading over to the East Side from the West Side is and never has been on my daily agenda..it basically is a hassle...but living on the West Side, I seriously could not take cleaner after cleaner ruining my clothes or just acting like they were doing me a favor by cleaning my clothes...So with my metrocard in hand, I got on the subway and headed to Alpian's...Wow, I was surprised..my clothes (mainly work shirts and suits) came out amazingly perfect and so did my tailoring. A pair of pants that my pen burst on took some time to clean, but the end product of my pants coming out perfect was worth the 2 week wait...plus, everyone was so nice there...attitude and Manhattan pretentious free...perfect!
