Went here when I had friends in town. SO good! Try the pizza with olives and fresh ricotta...very good. We all had pizza so I can't speak for anything else on the menu.

Pros: Excellent pizza, not pricey, clean store with relaxing atmo.

Cons: None Found

Servings at Nick's easily feed 2/3 people. Food is extremely fresh and delicious - homemade taste that goes well with the place as a whole.

Nick's is a great neighborhood dine-in pizza place, and is off the beaten path enough that it's not hard to get a seat. The food is family-style, and pizza is served fresh from the wood-burning oven (which you can see from the dining room, adding to the cozy atmosphere). Salads are good, too, and meant to be shared. We resisted dessert but I'm sure it was delicious, as well!

brick oven pizza is amazing, perhaps best in nyc!! it's so thin it can probably be eaten by one person... definately worth trying! not sure about service and atmosphere since we got the pizza to go!

Pros: among nyc's best pizza places!!

Cons: perhaps a bit expensive!

Pizza is terrific but the pasta and other foods are very mediocre. The veal parm has too much sauce and flavorless veal and dried up baked grated parm cheese on top. Where's the gooey mozzerella?? The spaghetti is over cooked and it a watery sauce and the clams are chewy. But great pizza!!!

Pros: pizza

The food here is consistently great; also consistent, are waiters that don't really do much. Out of ten times, we probably had one great waiter- and he's never there anymore.

Pros: Food, Outdoor Seating in nice weather, Quick Service

This is not your typical New York pizza...it's very thin, so you may be able to eat a whole one yourself! They have AMAZING rolls and a great balsamic vinegrette. As for their pasta, the tomato sauce, not the tomato basil; it's got a tang I didn't like. A bit pricey but good stuff! Service can be a bit slow in the restaurant and they do deliver.

We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and wanted to try delivery. One of the reviews said it was better to eat in the restaurant since delivery was spotty. We think the restaurant read the review - they said 45 minutes, wrote that on the slip, beat it by 20 minutes and the pie was excellent. Salad was boring. oh, well....

This place has the best tomato sauce i have ever had...better than my mom's ( i never say that about anything) The pizza, pasta, and bread are all great... prices are also good... service was ok, but bearable for the food... atmosphere is comfortable although i did feel rushed at the end of my meal while finishing my wine

Nick's Pizza is great. It's always packed on Fridays and Saturdays, and you will need to wait on line to get in. I have been there many times, and the pizza is always fresh and delicious. The sauce is high quality and has a subtlety sweet flavor. The calzones are also top notch. The pastas and entrees are all family style and far better than the average Italian restaurant. If you love pizza, you simply MUST go to Nick's at least once.

This is one of the best pizza places in nyc. It's very thin crust, but delicious. It does get a little price which is the only complaint I have. On par w/ patsys.

I've eaten at Nick's several times and the food is always high quality, with fresh ingredients. The portions are huge - one large entree and an appetizer or two is more than enough for two people. One note of warning however - the delivery service is often spotty. A few times, they have given us the wrong pizza toppings or sent over a large order when we requested a small. The food really is delicious however, so make a point to eat at the restaurant and you won't be disappointed.

This is really a great place and food is high quality and attractive prices. The house red wine is cold and inexpensive. My only grip are the Lights - way to bright and lack of bar. you guys have great brick wall exposure and an attractive setting. Get rid of the service bar and make a nice little bar to sit and eat. if you had this - you would have a winner on your hands . go look at pesche pasta up the street - you will get the idea.

One of the few restaurants I've been to that serves their bread soft and warm. So good.

The portions are huge. If you order any salad, make sure two of you are going to eat it - it's too much for one person! The arugula salad with sun-dried tomatoes is particularly good.

We have been impressed by all the the dishes we've had. We go every few weeks.

The wait staff is particularly friendly.

We were ordering from here 3x a week for the past 3 months and lately we have been extremely disappointed.
We spent $44 for 2 entrees and one very small cannoli; the portions were extremely small for Nicks and the dessert was not very impressive at all! We have never dined in the restaurant so perhaps the portions are larger.
I would highly recommend the pizza; it is the best pizza in NYC, stay away from the pasta dishes. The sauce is mediocre at best and once again they never give enough sauce for the amount of pasta. We think they should stick to what they do best, the pizza.

It's not quite Patsy's, Lombardi's, or Grimaldi's but it is pretty good. If you are way too attached to the pecorino romano that the other 3 use then this isn't for you. Extra Cheese is a strong suggestion!!! Give it a shot...you won;t be disappointed!

Everything listed on the menu is intended to be shared by 2 (or even 3) so just ask for the 1/2 portion if you are planning to go solo (and the price reflected on the menu will be slashed in half for the 1/2 portion). But even the 1/2 portions are extremely generous. The penne a la vodka was fabulous and so was the chocolate mousse cake for dessert. Great spot for good Italian food on the cheap!
