The woman who runs this establishment is rude which is ridiculous because they are the most expensive place in the neighborhood.

Whenever I went there she gave me problems for using a credit card to pay. If you are going to take cash

I used this cleaner for a couple of years for dry cleaning and shortening long pants without a problem. The first problem was that a linen pant suit was not delivered with my other dry cleaning. I went in to discuss the problem, was immediately told I did not bring in the suit (without checking their computer), and was ignored. I thought maybe I made a mistake and searched all my closets. No, I sent in the suit. They lost it. Because of location only I continued to use this cleaner for another year, but found that they could not handle one day service, told me when my clothes would be ready (like it or not), and finally returned a raincoat with the lining wrinkled as if it had been washed and light spots on the front. I called and they picked it up. They returned it within 15 minutes, still with the lining a wrinkled mess. The delivery person told me the spots could not be removed and would not discuss the lining. I called about both the spots and the lining and was told I sent it in with spots. I told them I did not send in a dark rainincoat with very light spots and that the lining was still not pressed. They hung up on me. I called back three times and each time they hung up on me. Finally they took their phone off the hook. Have not used them since. The customer is always wrong. They are clearly inefficient and rude.

Pros: Convenient to Stuy Town & Pleasant Delivery Person

Cons: Horrible Customer Service

.

I wish I had read the review on here before bringing my clothes into this place. Customer service is definitely foreign to this place. I brought in three articles of clothing last Monday - one jacket, one dress and one pair of capri pants. Both the dress and capri needed minor repairs - seam repair at the base of the zipper on both oddly enough. They said the items would be back on Thursday. I asked if Wednesday was possible and they said no problem. As it turns out, I ended up going out of town for work unexpectedly and wasn't able to go pick up the clothes until Saturday.

On Saturday, I went in with my receipt. The guy went into the back for far too long and the whispering started. They started whispering back and forth and getting everyone involved. They were basically going through the entire set of racks looking for my garments. Nobody would address me at all! I finally (after about 10 minutes) said "Excuse me, what is the problem?" Nobody would answer me. They just looked sideways at me and keep looking. Finally they started addressing me in a very short way - "Location not in the system. We are looking". After a few more minutes, they located the dress - it wasn't bagged or tagged. When I got home, I realized the neck hook was completely wrecked. Obviously, I will have it repaired elsewhere. Then they kept looking. Finally, they found the jacket - again not in a bag. They kept looking and were bickering unprofessionally amongst themselves. They did not once apologize for the mix-up or take any responsibility for this completely unacceptable behavior. After about 30 minutes and no information despite me asking how this could happen, I offered to come back in a few minutes and went to the deli next door. I came back about five minutes later and they were calling the dry cleaner where the work was done and describing my pants wondering if they could still be there. They were waiting for a call back. So finally they said, give us your number and we'll call you. I gave them my number and they said "oh we can't call this. It's not local." It's not uncommon in 2009 for people to carry only cell phones with numbers from other locales. Anyway, they are incapable of making such a call. They told me to call them.

I called them about an hour later and they said "oh, we haven't heard, but I'm sure they will be back next week. They are at the cleaners. We are closed tomorrow. Come in next week." I was out of town on Monday and so I went in today (Tuesday). They did have my pants and asked for the full price of $14 for dry cleaning and repair. I said "Are you really going to charge me the full price after temporarily losing them?" It was the same people who were running around with their heads cut off on Saturday when I was there. They said "Oh never lost.. was just taking longer due to sewing delay. Never lost!!" while they giggled and looked at me like I was crazy. So I paid them their $14, but will post my opinion everywhere that takes reviews.

Don't go to this place. They are overpriced, unprofessional, and have no penchant for customer service or accountability.

Pros: NO PROS

Cons: Overpriced. Misplaced my items. Very irresponsible.

Never go here for tailoring. They have been fine for dry cleaning. I came to get a lot of pants tailored, and one of them didn't come out the way I wanted. I got YELLED at persistently for even suggesting that they didn't look right. Please please go elsewhere for tailoring, unless you want to be yelled at and humiliated. In my book the customer is always right, and at least deserves an apology, even if nothing can be done to help. I was even told that I would be a bad doctor. No customer ever deserves to be treated the way I was, and I hope someone else is spared from my mistake. It is too bad because the other guys who work there are really nice and do a good job with the dry cleaning.
