Coffee Shop

It is amazing that the coffee shop is still in buisiness. The food, service and price are all terrible. I lived in the neighborhood for 20 years and never made it in until I had a large group of friends visiting NYC. There is great hype surrounding the coffee shop so I decided to stop in. The food was of low quality with small portions and took forever. The service was ridiculous, we waited 30 minutes to get our bill, getting water or ketchup for the table was equally impossible. I will never give them my business ever again.

Year after year, I keep coming back to Coffee Shop. Sitting outside, people watching with a coctail in hand? Bliss. I also LOVE the mashed potatoes and the salads.

Banana cream pie to die for!! and a brownie a la mode that will make you want to slap yo' momma! It gets really crowded thursday and friday nights, be prepared to wait for a table and also for a seat at the bar.

Coffee Shop is what you would get if you combined a bar with a coffee shop. I love being able to get a tuna melt and a gin and tonic. Their chocolate shakes and fries are to die for. I love sitting in a comfy booth inside or out on the sidewalk tables. There is sometimes a wait for a table, but it has never been too terrible (under 10 minutes). The service is decent.

Coffee Shop in union square is not your average coffee shop. Most of the food is the same as what you would find in a good coffee shop, but this is actually a trendy hangout catering to the downtown crowd. The downstairs is more like a lounge playing hip hop music while the upstairs is restaurant style w/ a bar. The drinks are good and in the summer it is a very good scene
