If you're reasonably serious about working out and don't want to spend a fortune, then Dolphin is great. They've done a major renovation in the past year, so the cardio machines are on the upper level and the weight training is on the lower level. Early mornings are the best times to work out -- the vibe is friendly, collegial yet serious and one can get in a great workout. Evenings are jammed packed and the vibe has much to be desired.
Gym ettiquette does need to be enforced.
Sadly, there is still much room for improvement but the owners are making gradual improvements. Yet, you should really know what you're doing if you intend to work out here or you should hire a trainer to get you started. This place is not for novices left to their own devices. There really do need to be trainers on the floor and more attention to safety standards (i.e. having clips for the weights -- although members have stolen them -not the best reflection on the clientelle- so one must ask for some smaller things that would be standard fare at other clubs.
So it you're looking for no frills at a value price with down-to-earth people then it's not a bad deal. If you're looking for a glamour gym, look elsewhere.

I tryed thus gym out as a trial member for a week and was i dissatisfied! They are poorly organized and when i tell you that everymachine is on top of the other that exactly what i mean. You cant do one workout with out hitting somebody next to you. The dumbells are also never racked alwasy thrown all over the floor and when they are on the rack they are never in pairs. Just a horrible experience. At least teh staff is courteous but hey that doesnt matter when you gym is a mess. people come to work out not refrain from hitting the guy next to you with a barbell.
