I have got for one undersized scrap on the top surfaces of three teeth. On my first visit I was told by dentist Craig Weinberg that he will not do filling even on one tooth because he did not have time. He suggested to make next appointment, and assured that all my dental job (filling for three teeth) will be done during single appointment without further ado because ??it does not make sense to do one tooth today and two others next time?. It was persuasive because I used to trust in what practiced persona said. I had got appointment on September 8th at 3PM. Receptionist handled a business card with the date and time of my next visit written on it. When I got home from work in the evening of September 7th, there was a message on my answering machine that my appointment has been scheduled at 2:30PM (?). Right away I dialed office??s phone number and left a message as reminder that I was given 3PM and will not be able to come earlier because my work schedule can not be changed on such short note.
On the next day I arrived in the office at 3:03PM. Instead of saying at least ??hi? staff (young female) which sits at front desk made a statement: ??You are late! You had appointment at 2PM!? (?!) When I did show the business card with written on it time ??3PM? another young female staff articulated: ??We do not know who wrote it!? (!?). When dentist Weinberg came on the scene, and I reminded him as what he said during my preceding visit, he did not accept the fact that as per his statement I expected to receive full dental work today. Moreover, I expected to get appointment at 3PM as it was scheduled. Instead of offering at least apology for creating such discreditable and totally unprofessional service, I received a very inappropriate attitude from each staff such as offensive facial expression, sarcastic smiles, and making statements such as ??We do not know who changed your appointment!?. The funny things, dentist Weinberg offered me to get in the chair; he did check one of my tooth which he did during previous visit, and offered to fill only one (!?). I refused. Here it is, why. After being humiliated by ignoring my needs as a patient and seeing that staff does not want to accept their own wrong actions, I did not want to put myself and my teeth in more mess as to use this business. Who wants to deal with a dentist or receptionist with a vocabulary such as: ??! do not remember? or ??I do not know??
Is it professional, when the staff including dentists and receptionists has not been trained to perform suitable service, but acted as though patient was a fool?
