2 Stars: Nothing to write home about (by UrSoLame)

I guess the pizza is good.....if you're on your way home from one of the neighborhood bars drunk and famished. It's really just okay. There are better places to eat on 7th. The only reason this place is still around is due to its LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. I think the owners know that too, that is why they are extending a coupon to people on CitySearch. They know their food sux. Their pizza used to be good once in a while but now with a new staff, it is pretty bad again. The smoking hott guy with the green eyes that was working there like 2 summers ago has disappeared, and the really nice guy is now gone too (I think he was the manager). Not worth it!

4 Stars: Convenience is king... (by Joanne O.)

They have a super spot. The pizza is good, sometimes great but never bad. It is an easy quick pit stop - you get exactly what you expect....great for delivery too.

3 Stars: Location, Location, Location (by Beth F.)

Smiling pizza, is a nexus for Park Slope and our daughter's favorite spot for she and Grandma. I like their small fresh mozzerella pizza. Great for a quick bite before heading to the subway or before the 7th Ave. halloween parade, it can get pretty crowded. The staff is always nice. We're glad we're just down the block!

3 Stars: Good Subway Pizza (by Leslie G.)

When you get off the train at 1:00am, and you're hungry, it's always there. They make pies all day so you always get a hot slice. My kids seem to like it. I know that it's really not the best pizza, but I've been going there for 38 years and it feels familiar.

5 Stars: Great pizza.....and meatballs (by Kristin B.)

We pass by smileys on our way home from everything and it always smells good....we will often walk the last 1/2 block with a slice in hand. I love the meatballs as well. I often will order just meatballs, no spagetti!!

4 Stars: Keeps Me Smiling (by Melissa W.)

We used to go to Smiling Pizza because it was the closest pizzeria to our house. Now we go because it's got great pizza! The pizza sauce and cheese is great, as is the crust..not too thin, not too thick. They also know how to deal with a kids' birthday party..last time we ordered for a party and told them we needed 4 pizzas for 10 adults and 10 kids, two of the pizzas came back to us with the slices cut in half for the kids. Now that's service!

5 Stars: The first bite will make you smile (by jstorm)

The Best. The Best. The Best.

You can see from the reviews this place has the goods; friendly counter guys, wonderful pizza- even great beef patties, a rarity these days. After eating pizza for almost thirty years and watching the great pizzerias slowly disappear, it is a godsend to find a slice I thought I could only reminisce about. Radio blaring 80's music, red neon sign, boisterous after school crowds AND open late! I live in Inwood now, but I have been known to head all the way out here for a slice of my childhood. Natives and newcomers alike, treat yourself to a quintessential taste of NYC! Viva Smiling Pizza!

5 Stars: SMILEYS...the reason I put on some weight!!! (by farfoura)

Pizza by the slice is good but you really have to try the mini pies, or baby pizzas as they are called, they are AWESOME. ALso, the spinach and chicken rolls are YUMMMMYYY, as are the pasta dishes. The owners are really nice/friendly, although there is an occasional jacka$$ behind the counter. Oh yeh and another thing, they are open till 2am on weekdays and 3am on weekends, what more do you need???

4 Stars: Best pizzia (by aaa288)

They are the onlyones that I know off that serves a salad pizza! I love it. The broccoli is great as well. Loved it. Great location right on the corner of 7th and 9th . Pizza is always fresh because they have heavy foot traffic the train station is right in front. Staff is nice. Even the bake ziti was good. There are other pizzareias in the neighborhood that are good but they have the best veggie ones. Love it

5 Stars: Great Pizza, Friendly Service (by kingofnyc79)

Love the pizza here (although the slices aren't as fresh at 3am, but who's that picky when you're drunk), and there's plenty of other good stuff. Another plus is how friendly the guys are here at all times. Glad to have them in the neighborhood.

5 Stars: pizza by the slice, but worth eating (by wompedy)

obviously this is no grimaldes or something, it's pizza by the slice. but it's well above average for that. I live across the street from them, so I eat there quite a lot and I'm seldom disapointed. They are consistant and yummy 99% of the time. which is made more impressive by their hours: open till 3a on fri/sat, 2a mon-thu! (close at 11p sundays). I would highly rate Smiling Pizza and claim that it is easily better than most run-of-the-mill pizza by the slice in and around the city.

5 Stars: love it! (by ajacykewycz)

skip the frozen stuff and stop by smiling...for $1.55 / slice, you'll get the tastiest, most addictive pizza in the slope. i think it's something they put in the sauce. perfect for those late-night-just-got-off-the-F-train hunger pangs...& the brocolli pizza is great.

4 Stars: F-Stop Pizza (by jessicabranch_citysearch)

You wouldn't expect this neon-bright, commercial-looking joint right off the F train to have anything but a barely serviceable slice. Fortunately, you'd be wrong -- Smiling does one of the best pies in the neighborhood, and their rolls can't be beat. Not much ambiance, but hey, they're right on the way home, so who cares?
