Bailey Slipper Shop

Very disappointed. Bought my 3 your daughters ballet and tap shoes and outfits..... Had everything fitted and at the next ballet class found the ballet too small. Went right there after class to ask for an exchange since they were fitted by the salesperson and they refused. Spent close to 100.00 there and will never go again

I also heard rumors about rude salespeople but I was in desperate need of an item the day of a competition, so I went there and was pleasantly surprised- a young salesgirl whose name begins with "M" was extremely helpful and patient- even offering to order what I needed. Although the girl at the counter seemed a little stressed as I overheard her being quite curt with a phone customer- prices were the same as everywhere else including on-line companies. The hours are much more accommodating than other dance supply stores in the area.

I have to say when I came onto this page to look up the store hours, I laughed. I called Bailey Slipper Shop this past Saturday to just get the store hours and the girl who answered was extremely rude and snotty. She acted as if answering the phone as well as my questions was the biggest inconvenience she'd ever encountered. To see the comments other customers have written who have actually gone to the store only solidified that this girls rudeness wasn't just in my head. I am going to give the store a shot and if this girl is there and treats us as poorly as it sounds she has some of the other customers, we will NOT be buying from the store and the manager will be contacted.

My daughter and I have been shopping their since she started dancing at 18 months old. When we go in they have the most friendly, helpful knowledgeable staff. They treat my daughter with kindness every time. We have never been anything but pleased with service, prices, selection, and for shopping their for 10 yrs says a lot. Thank you to ALL THE STAFF!

I had the same experience with the same young salesperson. I can only assume she is owner's daughter, otherwise she would never have a job in retail.

She basically bullied us into a pair of pointe shoes that didn't fit my daughter--her first pair, completely ruined the experience.

My daughter tried on a pair of tights and she said it was unsanitary for people to try on tights before purchase (???).

I drive now to the west side of town to buy supplies--I wont deal with them unless I have to.

The other sales people in the store are nice--this girl really ruins it.

I had honestly been avoiding Bailey's because I had "heard" that they weren't very helpful and their prices were high. I decided to stop in one day and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff was VERY helpful and cheerful, and their prices were much lower than other stores I had shopped in. I now go there for all my daughter's dance needs.

We must have had the same young salesperson as the previous reviewer. What should have been a fun and joyful experience for my daughter (buying her very first pair of dance shoes), turned into a depressing chore as we seemed to only bother and annoy the miserable young lady. And we were the only ones in the store!! She ruined this once-in-a-lifetime rite-of-passage for my little girl. Thanks ever so much. Is there any other dance store in the Rochester area???

My daughter has been in your store a couple of times for ballet shoes, accessories, etc. and found your young sales person to be very rude and condescending. She had this attitude that only she knew everything there was to know about toe shoes and her snotty demeanor has made us not want to shop there any more.

The staff at Baily Slipper shop is phenomenal. They fit my daughter's pointe shoes--with relentless precision...trying on pair after pair until the best possible fit was achieved. They are not limited to ballet shoes, but others were there for tap and other dance shoes and they appeared satisfied as well.

The sales people are very friendly and knowledgable about dance equipment. We a very pleased when we leave Bailey's. They have a fine selection of items.
