5 Stars: Le Petit is a Le TREAT! (by Savagei)

The food at Le Petit is excellent. I couldn't think of a better brunch spot in the neighborhood and the ambience and design of the space is very original and unique.

4 Stars: Relaxing spot to while away a Sunday (by graciousbee)

I've stopped by Le Petit Cafe a few times to grab a quick coffee to go and kept catching glimpses of their glass roofed garden in the back. I finally had dinner there last week and got to soak up the atmosphere. Le Petit Cafe is all about the cheerful, relaxing atmosphere. The colors are warm and golden so it evokes a sunny day even if it's dreary outside. The music is casual and mixes in with the sounds of the cascading water in the back. Dinner was good and fresh- I had the red snapper which came with a mango salad which was tasty and light. Having stopped by quickly in the daytime, it was nice to have dinner and get a better feel for the surroundings. I'd like to come back on a lazy Sunday to sip coffee underneath the atrium in the garden.

5 Stars: The most beautiful & romantic restaurant in Brooklyn (by missck1225)

I've been to Le Petit Cafe a few times and I have to say that I'm absolutely in love with this place. From the outside, it looks like a small coffee shop, but once you go inside and out to the garden area there's much more room and it's so beautiful! I'm amazed every single time. The food is very good too and inexpensive although it does take a while before it gets served. Friendly and pleasant staff. I would highly recommend this place to anyone-- from those looking for a date spot all the way to those looking for just a place to grab a cup of coffee and pastry.

4 Stars: here is the true deal about le petit (by cgg4eva)

Pros-The atmosphere is amazing.... end of story. Tommy , the owner has poured his heart and soul into this place and it shows. The fountains and landscaping make it worth going to if for no other reason at all. It is very beautiful and a great spot to go on a date or just to read the newspaper and have a coffee. The prices are decent as well and I think you get what you pay for. The food is pretty good. It?s not great or the best but its pretty good. Now for the cons- the service is not good at all. I am going to try to offer constructive criticism rather than just be rude but it is true. The service is actually bad more often than it is decent or good. There are 2 issues here. First is the wait staff. They are young and inexperienced. Tommy means well but to be quite honest he should hire older more "professional" (for lack of a better word) wait staff. The 2nd issue is that the kitchen is too small for the amount of business that they get on a regular basis. This is not really an opinion, but rather a fact. As for people saying that the owner was rude, to be honest I am not surprised, although he should know better. Acknowledging your faults and handling them the right way would stop people from reviewing it as a place that they wouldn?t return to. Rather then get defensive or nasty, they should apologize and try to make it better. Overall it is surely worth going to for the food and the atmosphere and if you have a bad experience, give it another try or two. I have been there a million times and they have their good days and bad. Despite issues with service or speed I like the place...enough that I keep going back.
